I need pain, grunt, and exertion noises for my action based combat system.
I need voice sound effects for when characters get hit, or swing their weapons, or lift something heavy, but I am having trouble finding any good ones.
Most of the ones I find are too cartoonish, sound like japanese anime Characters, (I am making a western fantasy RPG so I dont want this) , or they sound like the fake noises people make during sex, which is fucking disturbing...
The few Ive found that are decent sound like young, somewhat weaker characters, which is fine for elves and stuff but the first race and class I'm working on are the human barbarians who swing 2 handed greataxes around. If worst comes to worst I'll record the male barbarian sounds myself, but that leaves me with the female barbarian sounds as well as any other female characters later on.
Does anyone know where I could find some good pain sound effects for both genders that sound like theyre being made by a stronger character rather than a japanese school girl? Lol

[Poll] Would it be sexist to have different starting stats based on your character's selected gender?
Basically my idea for character creation in the dungeon crawler I'm making is to have all of your stats begin at 5, but depending on which race, class, religion, and possibly sex you choose for your character you will either recieve bonuses or penalties ro your starting attribute scores.
My thought would be for male characters to recieve a +3 to strength and a +3 to
endurance, while female characters would recieve a +3 to dexterity and a +3 to
intelligence. All characters would be able to max these stats to 100 regardless of
their gender as long as their race and class allow it, obviously I wouldnt want to allow an orc barbarian to have 100 INT...
I just want to get people's opinion on this. I don't want to spend a year or 2 working on this game just to release it and have people get mad about something I came up with before I even created the new project file.
