Introduction

I've compiled a lot of the useful information from the forum into one file and added a few of my own tips. As a side note, if this game were sold commercially, it would be rated Mature. This guide has some offcolor humor thrown in to offset the monotonous part. If anything in this guide offends you, do yourself a favor and don't play the game.

GENERAL TIPS

If you see a save point, something (bad or good) is about to happen. You have plenty of save slots, so no excuses. If you screw up an opportunity or want to review a cutscene, you can redo or review.

Search barrels, crates and various other objects. Talk to everyone you can. Not only does the plot require seemingly random NPC conversations periodically, but many of the villagers have hilarious things to say.

Be sure to level up when you can. At certain points in the game, you cannot return to earlier areas in the game and may not be able to defeat available enemies. In some cases this may make your savegame unfinishable. On a similar note, stock up on items (especially weapons,) prior to departing from towns. Stock up on money well before reaching new areas so you can buy new weapons as soon as they are available.

Don't spend too much time leveling temporary characters or battle monsters. Your final party will include Javoo and Tinesh. If you fight to earn money or experience, try to make sure both of these characters are in your party.

Battle monsters are really useful once you first get them. The monsters you initially fight after gaining summons heal often, so having the extra attacks really help. Training them can be fun (for awhile.) If you train them each to level 10(?) they learn duel techs. Both monsters must learn the technique, use it and survive the round. You can even summon both of them at once after summoning them enough and they can use items. That's the good news.

Unfortunately they gradually cease being helpful until you literally can't use them. Even when you first get them they aren't useful as shields since the monsters use group attacks. Monsters later on will instantly kill battle monsters on sight. They also force Tinesh to waste turns summoning them, when she could heal or attack. Go ahead and have your fun with them until you cross fire river, but then forget you ever saw them.

You cannot win the game by avoiding monsters. Not only will you never beat the last boss, but some puzzles require you to defeat all enemies in the room. End game level recomendation is 30.

There are many puzzles in the game. Some are obvious, some are devious. If you are blocked from moving forward, look for signposts, rocks, levers, or pretty much any sprite. Dungeons are somewhat minimalistic since it was made by one person, so if its there, chances are you need to do something with it. You will also have to do a fair bit of backtracking. If all else fails... BURN IT TO THE GROUND!

(BTW, some may not know it, but the engine supports game pads. I, for example have a Playstation-USB converter which allows me to plug a Playstation controller to my IBM compatible. It's much more fun to play that way rather than with the keyboard.)




FIONNA VILLAGE

Start with a cliched cutscene. When you gain control, search your dresser for 50 bucks.
Say hi to your mom (hehe) then head outside. Find Kato and he joins you.

Buy Fighter Gloves for each character. Your bombs will be confiscated before Blue Cove, so don't buy many of them and use them liberally. You find alot of them for free anyway.

After grabbing the potion, the man will go inside the house. Stand where he was and push the rock down to get his chest; 10 more bombs.
2 Special tonic Upstairs in the house with many kids.

After looting, go out and kill a few slimes to level up and get a feel for combat. Then go to the mountain to the north and search the base.




LAIR OF THE SLIMES

Search the pots in the first room for 2 bombs.

Fire hurts. Walk over fire pits when the fire subsides.

3 chests in here. If you try to go around the slime to get the first chest, you will just get burned, lose health and waste time. Inside is the wooden plank.

Use the wooden plank to make a bridge to get the second chest. You get a stick.

The last chest has a potion.

Use one of the torches at the entrance to light your stick. You got a flaming stick. 

Try burning that cobweb in the corner.


Room 2.

See that rock on the left? You can push it. Push it into the firepit to the northwest.

Don't forget to pick up your stick. Or to light it. There are 3 cobwebs here. 


Room 3 starts with 2 slimes and a locked gate.

Beat the slimes. The gate opens.

There is a slime perched on a wall. If you get close, he attacks, but doesn't get a preemptive strike.

There is a pot behind a bunch of rocks. Push the rocks away so you can pick up the pot.

Put the pot on the switch to the right of the boulder and a post will sink.

Push the boulder and it knocks down another stick (unless you didn't place the pot.)

"The path to fire is hidden among the walls." A hidden path in the walls, eh?

Walk through the wall southeast of the boulder, light your stick and burn the web.

In room 4, you may want to kill the slimes near the switches just so they don't distract you. Hit the switches in the right order. C-A-B-D

Pick up another pot and put it on the right. Have Kato stand on the left. You stand in the middle on the bottom row.

The pot near the doorway has 5 more energy drinks.

The first door has a plank. The second has a ladder. Use them to get to the boss room.

In the last room, there is a save point that heals you. You may return to the previous room to level up. Using your special attacks on the slimes with 2 is reccommended. Replenish SP at save point. Walk north when ready.

For the boss fight, use special attacks, bombs and potions when needed.




FIONNA VILLAGE 2

"That Lazy guy at the Inn is really good with maps."

In the north side of town there is a house that was blocked by barrels. One should be missing now. Go inside and talk to the man.

Once you get permission to use the boat, buy supplies, say goodbyes and maybe kill some more slimes to get money for new equipment in the next town. You can't return to Fionna for awhile.




VEEDO

After meeting Peggy, go to the old man's house and talk to him. There is a marble on the shelf. There is another marble in a barrel in the house with the brat with the wet head.

Talk to the barrel outside of the stupid pigtailed girls' house.

Challenge the red headed girl in the pink dress to Rock Paper scissors. She usually wins. You need to beat her about 7 times, then say yes. Go outside and talk to her again.

Find 20 bucks and 6 marbles in the gay dudes' house. Find 100 bucks at the inn.

The woman in the northeast sums it up nicely.

You *can* win at blackjack, but it is not a fast or reliable way to make money. I lost all my monies there.

5  special tonics, 5 energy drinks and something else in the bathing kids' house.

The marbles come into play later when you unlock Jaimie mode. The marble is used to by secrets.




TEMPEST ISLAND

Step on the switches in this order to open the path. 1324

Head right first to get an iron ball from a chest on the plateau.

Put the Iron ball in the BARREL of the cannon, then go around and fire it through the wall. Walk through your new door.

Push all but the top rock then stand on the switch to get the stick on the cliff.

"You know what to do by now." Before that though, kill that bat on the cliff between the treasure chests. She will come to you.

Also kill the other enemies before lighting the stick, because if you fight them after, your stick might go out and you have to light it again. The torch is near the chest the iron ball was in.

In the next area, just avoid the bats. If you get burned a little in the process, it won't kill you.

In the next area, go right to another switch puzzle. Top-left, bottom-right, top-right, middle, bottom-right.

Walk up and kill the bat girl. Oh-oh, she didn't dissapear. You got a dead body on your hands. Calm down, you've been in this situation before. Just shove her in the ditch, like that hooker you ki... er died in Vegas.

Get another stick. Don't light it just yet.

Pull the lever next to the tree on the west side to access the middle path.
Push the rocks into the water to get a pot of flammable liquid(?)
Flip the lever so you can reach the torch. Pour the liquid on the tree and light the stick.
Burn the tree and flip the lever behind it. Flip the first lever to access the middle path. There is now a bridge there. Cross the bridge for some minigames.

Bomb guy. Sneak past the fairies and blow up the green thing.

Quiz Pegandra; 4 slimes; Fionna village; Tempest stones.

Rock Maze Push the rocks to clear a path to the center. You can't push a rock if there is a rock on the other side.

Once you solve all three rooms, the gate opens. Save before you enter.

It's a fairly straightforward battle. Yeah.
This is the last chance to use your bombs though, so don't hold back (Unless you have a stronger attack.)




VEEDO 2

Examine the Boulder if you haven't already. Go to the item shop and talk to the cute mage girl. Talk to the gay dudes to get scuba gear. Stock up on healing items before you enter Blue Cove. 50 of each if possible.

You will lose all of your bombs when entering Blue Cove, so sell them here. You will find 30 or so of each potion in the upcoming dungeon, but you won't have access to a shop for quite some time.




BLUE COVE

I reccommend starting a new save file here in case you find you were woefully unprepared. If you save over your other file and run outta items, you might have to start over. Also, the save points in this first room heal you, so don't skimp on the special attacks. The enemy here drops special tonics too, so save those for later.

See that timer? It ticks during combat and in the menu too. When it runs out, you die. Get to the bubbles before that happens. This principle applies the entire time under water and will not be reiterated.

Your timer starts out at 1:00, but you can hold up to 1:50, so the first thing to do is fill your air at the bubbles, then save just in case.

It is helpful to kill one monster to see how long it takes to kill. Then divide your maximum air by this time to see how many you can kill without drowning, remembering you will need to walk to the air.

Push the 3 pots onto the red holes to open the path to the chest. The airtank now fills up to 2:00.

Open the chest to get rusty clippers. Sharpen rusty clippers on the pile of pearls to the west.

Second room has nine levers which correlate to the nine consecutive seaweeds directly west of the levers. Pull the levers which correlate to the faster moving seaweed. There are three of them.

Pull levers 2, 5 and 9.

Don't forget to push the rock in the northeast into the hole.

Once past the barricade, you climb a ladder to a kind of puzzle/maze. Click a red switch and a bridge appears. You can't just click all of the red things at once. Your goal is to push rocks off the edge onto the red holes. There are 5 rocks to push.

Start off by pushing the right switch to make a bridge to the south. Push the rock into the hole. Go back up and unswitch the current brigde since you can only have one switch "on" per platform.

Hit the other switch switch to create a bridge to the left. Hit the next left switch to make a bridge to the left again. Hit this switch to create a bridge in another area, then go back right and hit the left switch, removing the bridge you just crossed. Hit the other switch to go down. Now hit the right switch to access the rock to the south. Remember this combination, since you need to come back to this spot. When you finish the rest of the puzzle (it's not too hard,) the ladder will appear here.

On the left of the base of the ladder are two pots and three red holes. Push the pots on the two outside holes to make an air chest appear. Current air is now 3:00. The other chest has 10 KO pills. The pot near the end has 10 special tonics and a save point.

The left door is a dead end, but has a save point!, air bubbles and an air chest (4:00.) Also a Powerup.

The right door has a grass puzzle. Pull the right lever after cutting the grass to match the rocks. If you mess up, pull the left lever to regrow the grass. Cut all grass that correlates to a rocks position. In other words, where a rock is, the grass isn't, resulting in a grass silhouette of a face. A bright flash indicates the gate is opened.

Walk up the two ladders and use the save point. A pot has 10 energy drinks. Another pot has 10 Special tonics.

In the lower left, there are six more levers. Pull each twice. The ones that make a different sound the second time should be flipped again. More air again (5:00.)

Save and clear out the monsters, but don't refill your air. You need your air to be below a certain amount to get the exit key on the plateau with the clocks. Click the switch at the base of the ladder, grab the key and find an air hole.

Step on the switches to open the path to the right. (14235)

A pot near the exit has 10 special tonics.

Next room. Another pot with 5 energy potions and a save point.

Another pot with 10 special tonics.

"3 numbers that add up to 14." If you pull more than 3 levers the holes will release monsters and you will be trapped until you solve the puzzle. The far left lever is 1, the next lever is 2 and so on. (Hint: Don't pull lever 1 or 2. Do pull lever 3.)

Lots more puzzles here. First off, look at the switches shaped like an arrow and the rocks with the mirrored shape. Step on the switches mirrored by sunken rocks, then click the red switch above it to open the path to the left. There is another pot with 10 energy drinks.

There is a pile of pearls on the right which glow when you search them. They remove the grass around one of the pushable rocks to the south.

There are four levers on the wall with two boulders sitting above them. Pull the levers below them to remove grass around the other pushable rock. Push the rocks into the holes. 

If you accidentally push the rocks against a wall, push the nearby red switch to get them back to the starting point. (the seaweed is not affected) This will reveal the final air chest on top the the ladder to the north (6:00)

Past the blockade (down) push the rock to the left of the ladder to uncover a hole. Push the rock at the top of the ladder into the hole. Go north to get ten special tonics in a pot and push a rock to reveal a switch. After you flip it, walk south to reveal a bridge.

Follow the path to the save point, then fight your way to the exit.




BATTLE MONSTER ISLAND

15 special tonics in the left barrel. 25 energy drinks in the right barrel.

Get some monster balls. You can only catch Angry Penguins. Weaken them until they throw snowballs at you, but make sure Tinesh 41 or more ep since it will hit the party for 40.

Have Tinesh use a monster ball. Monster balls won't work until the penguin's ep is low enough.

Go back to the house. Now fight batgirls to gain penguin exp. (Fairies are harder and Penguins give no exp.) Weaken the bats before you have Tinesh send out the Penguin or the bat girl might kill it. You have to beat 4 batgirls with the Penguin alive at the end of the battle.

The Penguin reaches level 2 after about 6 battles. You will need to catch 6 penguins or more if one of them is dead at the end of the battle.

Go back to the house and learn magic. Cast the fire spell about 20 times, using the lake to heal sp. When Magic upgrades, go back inside to learn ice. Cast it about 20 times to upgrade it. When the mage moves, go into the room behind her and loot away. Talk to the mage and say yes to move to Uresei Continent. 




URUSEI CONTINENT- PETHAR

You can't do much until you go to the Inn. You might want to catch some butterflies and talk to the people outside. A chest in the Northwest contains 20 energy potions.

A girl says you can have her treasure. Come back for it at night. (Sarcasm? Sorry, kid, never heard of it.)

Inside the Inn, there are 10 marbles.

After you slept at the Inn, talk to the girl up on the balcony, then the Richwoman. Find 5 marbles in the Rich bitch's house, then talk to the cooking lady and her husband (who should tell you to leave him alone.) Find 3 marbles in this house.

Talk to the old couple. If you did it right they won't talk to you anymore.

If you caught a butterfly, then now the red house with the porch should have the door open.

Go inside the red house, pick up the 4 marbles and talk to Luden. As a bonus, you no longer need to catch monsters to use them. Tinesh can summon them. Sell your monster balls if you want an easy 200 bucks. Read my notes on monsters.

Go inside the run down house and turn on the lights.

Before you can move on, you need to build up Javoo's skills a bit. He needs to be a level 3 fighter and a level 5 mage. You can buy the weaker versions of the fire and ice spells, but I don't see why you would.

You can summon the Penguin and butterfly for backup, but the monsters here typically only hit for 20 or 30 if you have the best armor. Besides, you gain job levels based on number of times you use Javoo's attacks, not the number of monsters killed while as a certain job, so just have Javoo use the correct attack and have Tinesh heal or use a Special tonic on Javoo. Just don't run out of SP. Since Tinesh's turn is before the monsters, have her use Loving cure when one of your characters gets between 30-45 EP.

By having Javoo do all of the damage, you waste no time summoning and actually fight fewer battles to get job levels. After you get max levels, you can fight more. 

As a fighter, use your strongest fist technique until you learn scan. Then become a mage.

As a mage, use the ice spell until you learn the water spell. Then use the fire spell until you learn lightning. Scan the monster to learn its weakness. Hint: Use your new SPELLS.

This time I'm in penthar on the main continent.

I can't figure out how to get past that barrier or the fire that cuts off the land.
In Penthar I've done just about everything I can think of. I've talked to everyone, got locked out of the old peoples house. slept at the inn. I can't get into the house next to the rich ladies house and I can't get into the strange guys house as he isn't home.
There is a woman who tells me to explore the village.




PATH OF FIRE

There have been some bugs reported in this dungeon, so start a new save file just in case. Also do not fight monsters on bridges or you cannot cross them.

On the first island there is one movable rock. Leave it alone for now.

Grab the chest with new weapons for your two main characters. Don't forget to equip them.

The path to the right has walking flames that send you backwards if they touch you, so avoid them. Halfway along this path, push the grey rock into the lava to open a bridge to the south and a chest with 20 super tonics. At the end of the path, hit the red switch to open a path to the north.

Walk into the little room and hit the red rock. The bridge appeared, but Oh no, you're locked in. If you hit the rock again the bridge dissapears, so play with the switches to unseal the room, but leave the bridge intact. Leave the middle switch alone.

*Portrait of Pegandra Remeber the rock on the starting island? Push it north across the bridge, making sure you don't push it against a south, west or east wall. Push it across the new bridge and to the northwest section. Don't push the rock all the way north! Place it on the red spot near the Golem Girl and you will form a new bridge on the flame path leading to a treasure chest.

Towards the end of the first room is an easy chest with 3 super tonics.

Answer the blockade's question to remove it. The first answer was in the party.

In the next room, you may want to start yet another save file. Fight the monsters if you want, then get to work on the switches. The rock pattern gives it away, but I won't! You get a hint though. Don't touch the 3rd switch.

Follow the leader. She takes 4 steps at a time.

More avoiding flames. You can either wait for a straight shot and dash through or wait next to a slower flame.

Animal size? Alphabatize!

General Ackbar would know just what to say about that rock south of the switches.

Save that lever for later, just go down the stairs. Here we have a fairly linear maze. Just continue along the unblocked path until you reach the red switch. Backtrack to the lever, pull it and go back downstairs. The blockades and red switch have moved and the monsters are back, but it is no harder than before. After hitting the switch and coming upstairs, a bridge to the south appears.

A new riddle at the door. An emotion that starts with I and ends with U. The answer is _ov_!

The next room starts with seven levers. Pull them in the correct order or you have to start out again. Touch the torch to see the correct order. Remember not to fight on the bridge.

Push rocks onto holes, but some rocks are immovable until you push other rocks. Cross the bridge.

The button releases a boulder. If you position the bumpers...

Push the gray rock to make a bridge to the north to get 30 marbles. SCORE!

The riddle blockade for this asks for the name of the stones. The answer is a seven letter word for "I haven't been paying attention to the backstory."

The following room starts with a simple push rock into hole puzzle. Now answer another question. Use Javoo's Fire Fist Special to hear the phrase that pays (must be a fighter.)

Return of the bomb guy. blow up the wall blocking Javoo from the path.

Find the save point to the left of the screen. Now walk "the path of the snake." From the save point, Walk right until you hit a wall, then walk up and around boulder. Move down the first alley and go right at the bottom, serpentining along the path. If you get in a fight, you don't need to start over unless you deviate from the path. A flash of light and a bridge appear when you finish. Go across the bridge and hit the lever with the fast lava above it. If you blink, just look for the lever you haven't hit yet which has fast lava above it.

Push more rocks into holes and a jug appears. Pick it up, fill it with water. And don't bitch about it.

Pour the water on the unusual lava to make a bridge. Pull this last lever and answer the final question to reach the boss' room. If you don't remember the evil one's name, it's Maidus.

Save point. If you bypass the chest to fight the boss, you can't come back for it. Walk between the rocks and pull the right lever for 20 super tonics.

BOSS FIGHT




PEOKA VILLAGE

Just a normal little village, if you don't count all of the PIRATES AND NINJAS!!! Well, there is only really one ninja, thus far...

At 1000 gp, the shovel is a bargain, dig it? Talk to the ninja before you dig for treasure.

Keep digging until you get the pirate combo.

Leave town and head to the town north of here. Didn't work, did it? Go back to Peoka.

Talk to the man in the park about the forest. The pirate house should now be unlocked.

Inside the pirate house is 1000 gp and 5 marbles. Also, the gem of Tetsu. The combo to the door is 5, 14, 11, 27. If you keep digging, but don't find the combo, the code works without digging up the paper its written on.

"Give" the jewel to the ninja, then follow him into the back room. In the first room, just wait for the eyes to look away, then pull the levers.

In the next room, make sure the eyes are closed before moving and turn away from the statue before they open. Wait until the statues next to each other synch up before moving. On the last statue, move up three spaces when the eyes are closed, then move down one. Then make a dash for the exit. I can't help you with the last room. You just have to have mad twitch skills. When you win, talk to the ninja.

Now use the job selector to become a ninja and go to the empty house with the fence on the north side of town. Search the clock as a ninja to move a chair. Get the scroll and bring it back to the ninja.




FOREST OF ILLUSION

Lots of stuff to do on the first screen, but you can't do it yet. Head right.

Beat up the little forest creatures and steal their treasure. Go right again.

Beat the fox and open the chest to get the green gem. Go back to the start.

Place the green gem on the stump to lower a barricade on the screen above where you found the green gem. But don't go there yet. Go left this time. Then up.

On this screen, there is a river and a water pump thing. Push the rock to the left to open a barricade further ahead. Go back to the start and go right 2 screens, then up until you see a monster guarding a lever. Smack the bitch, Flip the switch! Return to the start.

The rock in the lower right corner has moved. Pull the lever. The gate in front of the compass lowers. Move the compass to the right. Head all the way back to the end to find a treasure chest with a crank. Go back to start. Point the compass up.

Once you turn the crank, the water shuts off and you can go to the right. (If didn't turn the compass, go do it now.) Claim the torch.

If you are a ninja, you can walk to the right again to claim a new scroll.

Go back to start. Go right to the old dry tree. search it to claim the clippers.

Go up to the lever behind the tall grass. mow the lawn and pull the lever. You will need the green gem again. If you grab it now, you will save some time. Go to the other teleporter.

SECTION TWO.

Use the save point if you wish. The signs are not always in the same screen as the puzzles to which they refer. Go up and left. There are five levers and a sleepy lil' fox. The levers don't control anything on this screen. Pull the 4th one and go down.

A lever is fenced in, but if you pulled the right lever in the previous screen, the barricade should be down. Pull that lever. Go left one screen, then down. A barricade to the left should be down now. Go left to a spring and a save point. Grab the chest.

Go back a few screens to the platform with the lever on top (Didja remember to bring the laa~dder?) Climb up and hit the lever. Go down two screens and get the chest. You get pot.

Go back to the sleepy fox and pull the second lever. Pull the other levers up. Go down, left, left. Another switch puzzle. The answer to this one is written on the sign just above the start of Section two. You can figure it out by trial and error though. 531246 You get Revitalizing Tonic. Use it on the stump a few screens away. On this same screen, push a rock into the pond.

Take your pot to the start of Section two and fill it with water from the pond. Now go to the sleeping fox and go up, then right. The way should be open, except for forest fire. Do Smokey proud. (For international audiences, Smokey the Bear is a mascot for preventing forest fires.) Go down.

Another stump. Put the gem on it. If you didn't grab it earlier, do so now.

Go back to the third teleporter and pull the lever to activate it.

Boss Battle.

You are *supposed* to fight as a ninja, but you can cheat and switch jobs right before the fight.




KIOKU VILLAGE

Find 5 marbles in the crossdresser's house. Find 5 marbles at the INN. Find 3 marbles at the old woman's house.

After entering, you can't leave until you accomplish some tasks, so you may as well save. Talk to the man near the save point to learn about the contest. Talk the LocalWoman near the northeast gate. Talk to BeachGuy. Talk to LocalMan about the Tempest stone. Talk to ShorthairedWoman about the Prize.

The locked door in the center of town should be open. Talk to the girl to get a bathing suit and invitation.

Get changed in the changing room. You can change back anytime before the contest. While Tinesh is "dressed," talk to the Beachguy to open the gate. You might want to make a separate save file to rewatch the upcoming cutscene later. Find Javoo and make waves.




THE OPEN SEA

Now that you have a boat, the sky's the limit. You can go anywhere in the world.

Oops, I lied. You do have more freedom of mobility, but your travel destinations are still very limited as yet. You can go to a few places now, but you won't be able to do much yet. Besides, you will have to go there at some point in the future. For now, just go a little to the north to the dock. It's a short trip.



URESEI CONTINENT

There is a dungeon to the north, but you have to master your fighter job before you enter. In the forest you can find a chest with a full SP tonic and a full energy potion.

The monsters you fight here don't dissapear. They just become tame. If you hit the green crystal, it give you the option to make them wild so you can fight them again. Note that the green crystal near Miyuki village doesn't give you a choice if you touch it.




MIYUKI VILLAGE

Find 3 marbles in a house in the center section of town.

Go into the old man's house. Go upstairs and search the old man statue. Go downstairs and the gate to the treasure should be down.

Find a door key in the shelf in the easternmost house on the East side of town. Open the door with the key. Find 100 bucks and 4 marbles on the otherside of the passage.

Steal the old man's prized possession, the Cheetarah portrait (Ya bastard.)

Talk to the redheadgirl walking on the east side of town. Go to the center of town and talk to the man beside the flag. Now talk to the man in the southeast house. Go back east and talk to the dizzy boy. If he talks about the big house in the center of town, it will open. If not talk to everyone else again.

Go inside the big house and stand on the third colored tile (2 steps west of the clock.) Wait until something happens. There are 5 marbles in the toilet, but you might not want em. Grab the gate key in the passageway.


You might want to head outside to make another save file for later viewing.

On the west side of town, find 200 bucks at the Inn. Find 2000 bucks at the fun house. It's in a barrel. Buy a pass and watch the show. Talk to Tomo to ask for his plank. He wants berries. Back to the boat. If you sell the pass to the black guy in the lobby, you can't get another one. You can get the black guy's portrait elsewhere anyway.




WUBBIT VILLAGE

Find 5 marbles in an empty hut.

The only clock in town isn't set. Ask the locals what time it is (how would they know without a working clock?) Set the time and a set of stairs appear. Get Cheetarah portrait.

Talk to the WubbitWoman tending the garden. She wants a flower. Go back to the Catgirl Continent. East of Miyuki Village is the worlds only flower. Trade it for the berries, then go claim your plank.




MIYUKI VILLAGE 2

Go back to the fun house and trade for the plank. Now go north and open the gate. Use the plank to make a bridge and walk along the path. Talk to Jaime to get Jaime mode. You can spend those marbles you've accumulated (I had 123 at this point.) Saving before spending all of your marbles is reccommended. Try to buy a minigame first so you can win more marbles if you run out. Don't go crazy with the games though. You will find many more marbles later on. When you're done trying out Jaime mode, Get on your boat and head all the way east, then south to a small island.




HIMAWARI VILLAGE

Head west and stop in the shop if you want. Buy an ice cream cone for later. Give the ice cream to a little girl to get 4 marbles, 2 full sp tonics and 2 full energy potions.

Talk to the person on the island north of the Ice cream girl's house.

Find 3 marbles in the pirate's house. Talk to the boy upstairs. Beat the redhead girl at Rock, Paper, Scissors to learn about the master fighter.

Talk to the Blackkid. He tells you Garku will only speak to you if you are a (Fighter) If you go inside Garku's house as any other job, he'll kick your ass out!

Inside Garku's house, find 5 marbles and master the fighter job.

Go upstairs in the house with many chairs. Search the pot to open the door. Search the bookcase for a Foxgirl attacks portrait.




SKANKBOT DUNGEON

Put your hand in the barrel until you get a rounded stone. Pull the lever and walk past the barricade. Climb the ladder and drop the stone in the pot. Walk on the switch in the lower left corner. Open the chest to get the wooden plank. Put the plank in front of the ladder. Flip the lever to lower a barricade. It also raises the first barricade, but you can bypass it with the bridge you just made. Push a rock in the water to access the other lever. Pull it to unblock the door.

Remember the signs from this room as they apply later in the dungeon.

"The arrow will only show the way if a protector holds the keyhole."
"Right 10, left 6, throw the switch."
"Be patient in the pillars."
"Tablet 1, down 1."

Pull the lever standing alone east of the rotating sunglasses. Stand in between the six pillars until the screen flashes. Climb the two ladders to the north and pull the lever. It should say there is a sound from the other room. Go back to the first room and pull the left lever. Climb the two ladders again and head across the bridge. Pull the lever and head back to the ground. Inside the little room, walk over the two switches. Make the statues face each other and a switch will appear between them. Step on it, then climb the ladder and step on the switch behind the lowered barricade. Now manuveur the statues so that light shines on the red orb. Pull the lever above the save point. If positioned correctly, a ladder appears above the six pillars.

"The path will open when a patient person stands at the tip."

Find 5 water balloons inside of the barrel. Pull the 1st and 2nd lever to reveal a ladder.
To the left of the ladder is a hidden room. Pull the lever to reveal some stairs. Push a rock to move another rock and access the chest. Get the stone of light and take it back to the hidden room. Receive the keyhole bracelet. Equip it to Tinesh and go stand on the cross looking peninsula until a bridge forms. It will take a while. Get a soda or something.

"The elderly like gardening. The young like birds. A woman like fish." Not just bad poetry, it's a clue. Put the statues in this order; old man, vinegal, little girl, penguin, housewife, mermaind. A ladder appears.

Push the left arrow 6 times, the right 10 times, the pull the lever. Push the rock while you are up here. Before you go to the boss area, there is another hidden room just to the left of the plank bridge. Step left on the dark tile. Get more water balloons and pull the lever. Outside the hidden room, a bridge appears to a chest. Inside is just what you always wanted; a picture of Jerkface.

When you get them all right, it will say that the final door is unlocked. Where is the final door? Right back in the first room. 
 
Save and beat the boss. Since this is the Master Fighter dungeon, being a fighter helps. Bring out the pets for backup and Have Tinesh heal every other round.




CUTSCENE.

When you gain control, talk to everyone. Don't talk to the pirate unless he is asleep. When you go inside the pirate house, search the cabinet for the door key. Now search the west wall of the room that was locked. The other room is now unlocked. Search the cabinet in the left room to unblock the stairs. Go upstairs and search the crib.




URESEI CONTINENT

Javoo automatically masters the mage job at this point. There is no clear indicator in game, but head to Wubbit Village.




WUBBIT VILLAGE 2

There is a hidden switch on the overworld which makes a chest appear on an island to the northwest next to the Flamegal. You can also buy her picture for 40 marbles.

Go back to Wubbit village and assume the mage job. Now you can Talk to Japeelo.




THE WAYBACK MACHINE

When you arrive, you get new party members, which is good since you can't summon the pets. Go to the temple to the west.

The two enemies give you either a full sp or full energy tonic when defeated. You may want to stock up.

Fight 15 or so snake kids to get the chest on the plateau. It's a snake kid's portrait.




FUKAIRU VILLAGE

If you haven't gotten your fill of digging, you can pay to dig some more.

Find 5 marbles in the house with the locked bedroom.

"The treasure can only be found if you use the second stump."

Pull up a chair or two. Well, push is more like it. Move the chairs to the table to open the bedroom door and get 5 marbles and a jar.

Talk to the bratty girl in the business district. She tells you where the key is. Its under a pillow in the inn.

Talk to Ryukai. Take his jewel and give it to the bar skank.

Unlock the bedroom with the key you found in the inn. Search the fireplace.

Talk to the JumpRopeGirl about the blue flame. Talk to housewife about the blueflame. Talk to a man watching the cock fights about the blue flame. Examine the grave in the residential district. Talk to the bar skank to get blue flame.

Walk along the dirt path south and burn the two bushes at the end of it. Examine the middle stump on the left to unlock the chest with the snake slut portrait.

Head east along the dirt path and burn two more bushes to access cobra cave.




COBRA CAVE

Start by pushing the two rocks.

Pull the lever to the north to lower the barricade.

down, right, right, up, left. Input this in the room to the northwest, then hit the button. This will make triangles appear in the first room. Move the triangles to form a square, which makes a bridge. Grab the plank from the chest below.

"The crooked path is as follows: left, up, down, right, left, up, number 2. Take action between the pillars." Put the plank on the gap near this sign.

In the next room are four staircases. You could go in any order, really, but imma do dis clockwise.

"The priestess look towards the young girl. The child does not see her mother crying becuase she watches the ninja and old man talk. Little does the Ninja know that the skank bot is sneaking up on him." More not just bad poetry. On the left, from the top down, make the statues a priestess, a girl facing east and a woman crying. On the right, a skankbot facing south, a ninja facing south, and an old man facing north. Smack da button to make a bridge. Get the golden hair clip from the chest.

Northwest room. They wall wants to play Simon(tm) You can take your time and press the wall one square at a time while rewatching the wall. A staircase appears. Leave for now, but return when you get the golden veil, so you can pass through the eyes and use the golden rod on the spot at the end of the path to reveal a ladder. Take the golden scale from the chest.

Refer to the crooked path sign to solve the maze, but first, check out the barrel to the southeast to lower the barricade. when you finish the maze, a ladder will appear. Get the golden claw.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Get the chest with the veil of destiny. Yep. It's that easy.

Go back to the northwest room. Probably should have done this room last. Get the scale and head downstairs to the pond. Get a necklace from the pond.

Once you get the necklace, go back to the room with the 4 stairs. Approach the snake slut statue from the north and place it on her. Nothing happen? What a rip off. You'd better get your necklace back. Examine the statue to go back. The save point heals you, so you may want to level up a bit. Not too much since Javoo isn't with you. 

Defeat the boss. Tie up loose ends in town, make sure you have the snake slut and snake kid portraits, then go to the temple to return to Wubbit Village. You don't need anything there, so just walk outside.





THE OPEN SEAS

After a cutscene, sail north then west. When you encounter a whirlpool, you can use the stones to destroy it.

MELOKU VILLAGE

Find 5 marbles in the east half of the connected house. Keep talking to Allie and Jan until they make up and give you two muttgirl portraits. Talk to the man outside about the western village. Talk to the girl outside the item shop about the Muttgirl cave. 

Find 5 marbles in the Inn. Talk to the bald guy about the Tempest stone. Find 5 marbles in the Northwest house (Use the back door.)

Find 5 marbles in the Oldman's house. Talk to Oldman about Animal Instincts.

Talk to the brushinggirl about Cats. Talk to the blondegirl by the waterfall.

Talk to the girl in the bathtub. Find 5 marbles in this house. Now talk to the PissingGuy about the whirlpool. The duplex near the entrance with the girl on the balcony should now be open. Talk to the Ninja. Sailor Bitch is giving you the cold shoulder.

EarthSpike is found in the forest of illusion. If you don't have it already, too bad. You don't need it though.

Input all of the codes to master the ninja job. Talk to the Ninja in Meloku to gain the Knight job. Become a knight, get in the boat and destroy the whirlpool. 

TOWN OF ...

Push the rock in the northwest corner. Search the third headstone. Open the chest. Open the blocked door with contents of said chest. Gain your third party member and head over to Mutt's Den. You may want to level up until the third member gains the healing spell. Equip a kitty necklace also.




MUTT'S DEN

Grab the chest for an ice gauntlet.

Push the rock into the hole to lower a barricade to the east.

Go east and south until it shows a cut scene. Mutt What in the Butt?

"The one without a face will only look if your back is to her."
Stand to the north of the faceless statue, facing north and search.

Go into the door in the dorner to a room with levers and water. Pull the first lever(1.) Pull the lever(2) across the bridge you just made. Pull the lever(3) to the south. Pull lever(2.) Pull lever(1.) Pull lever (3) to remove the bridge to the entrance and place a bridge to the middle island. Get the chest.

On the middle island are three more levers, (4,) (5,) and (6.) Pull switch (6) to access switch (7)

To get to upper right chest, the switches (1,) (2,) and (7) must be down. Others must be up. Get the wooden peg.

In the doorway nearest the entrance (the left corridor) is a waterfilled room with a redhole. Use the peg. 

"If the door takes you back, then you are not moving forward."
Refers to the 4 doorways past the barricade. 3,1,4,2,3. This lowers the ladder so you can get the green gem. It is in a chest at the end of the right corridor. Push the rock in the room with the sign, "Anyone who interferes WILL be eaten."

"Blue to the right, Green to the left."

The lever by the pedastals unblocks a chest in the left corridor with a fire gauntlet.

Place the green gem in the main room on the left pedestal. A ladder lowers in the left corridor. Sneak past the mutts and take the pot. Pick up the blood on the way back. There are 4 drops of blood in the same room as the pot. The blood on the island with the cats in cages is just for atmosphere. You can't get to that island and it isn't necessary.

There are two drops of blood in the main room. There are 3 drops in the right corridor. A bridge will let you go south of where you picked up the green gem. Pick up the blue gem in a chest.

Place the blue gem on the pedastal. Go down the right corridor. A new bridge take you to a the room the cutscene took place in. Pick up the blood and take the left door.

Spill the blood on the statue and steop on the switch to reveal a new passage. Take the chest and return to left corridor to retrieve Mutt Key and the fire gauntlet. Go back to the fork and go right. Use the key and pull the lever to make a bridge to the boss.

Talk to the statue. Answer Muttana to get a free Soul Flame Sword.

Beat the boss.




TOWN OF GEBRUS

Find 5 marbles in a barrel in the house with the flamegal. Find 5 marbles in the barrel below the Inn counter. Find 5 marbles in a dresser in the inn. Find 5 marbles in the dresser in the empty house in the northwest.

The littlegirl tells you the old man hid something in the bushes. Find backdoor key in the southeast corner of town, in a bush. Find 10 marbles and a portrait in the old man's house.


Talk to the woman near the entrance to learn about the monster cave. Talk to SnowSkank about Ash. Talk to hatman. Talk to Blondebrat. Talk to the bluehaired dude in the inn. Talk to the girl making a snowman.

Go outside town and search the northernmost stump to the east. Go down the stairs. Find 5 marbles in the passage. Talk to Ash. Now go to Pethar back on the other side of the river of fire.

Dock your boat on the west side of Uresei Continent and walk through a passage south of the Mutt den to the cat side. Walk southeast of the locked gate to the barricade. Examine it and Tinesh will say something. Go talk to Jaime in person.




HIMAWARI VILLAGE 2

Talk to PirateGuy in the house closest to the entrance, not PirateJohn, the town greeter though. Different pirate. Take the magnetic box back to the barrier and search the left post. zap.




PETHAR 2

Talk to Luden. She tells you to go to the island to the west and gives you a "key" to get inside.




HERMIT ISLAND.

Examing the window. Go inside and talk to Zoodis. Get a degree in summoning from our internet correspondence course in only one hour!




GEBRUS 2

You can visit old sour-britches if you want to see some more dialogue, or just go to the dungeon. The entrance is in the main town on the right side, bordered by rows of three bushes.




CAVERN OF ICE

There aren't any monsters here. Only headaches and ice.

On the east side is a path in the snow. Walk along it to lower to ladder to the lever on the north side of the room. Pull the lever to make a bridge on the next screen.

"Only with help from the gods themselves will you be able to get past the guardians of the cave."

The statue south of the entrance will do nothing but heal. Javoo can use Flame summon to damage it. The summon will do slightly more damage than the statue can heal. Just keep using the summon with Javoo and have other characters use sp tonics or heal the party. For some guardian statues your other party members will have to attack as well. Make sure your SP is full before guardian battles. If you start a fight with a guardian, but don't have enough SP or don't know the right summon, you can run away. It just takes a few tries.

Climb the ladder and go down the "fire" pole. Pull the lever to see the sequence of ice blocks. Examine them in that order to open a wooden gate a few screens ahead. 11332541

Walk through the wooden gate and go north. You can't beat that statue yet, so ignore it for now. Go in the cave and down the next "fire" pole to see four rocks. Note their positions.

Walk to the west door and push the rocks into the positions in the previous room. The north rock should be pushed 3 times. The west rock should be pushed twice. The south rock should be pushed once. Go back to the east room with the rocks to collect a black silk hat.

Place the hat on the snowman to remove a wooden gate on the other side of the bridge. Go to the furnace and turn up the heat. Go to the snowman room and follow the path north to a hidden room. Learn the new summon.

Now go back and fight the statue. The nightmare flame summon does about 350 damage. The statue heals about 400. Use the kitty blaster and black hole techniques to compensate for the difference.

Take the left door. Follow the path to the penguin. If you mess up, he runs away. Just leave and he will come back. Talk to him and he asks a riddle. The answer is Bat. The penguin gives you a bomb.

Go back to the furnace room and turn it off again. Then return to the other room and cross the now frozen pond. Get the ice octopus.

"Two colors come together. A hidden door lies behind where the ice and snow gather."

Go back into the room you fought the second stature. Go between the two rooms with the rocks and search the wall. Penguin set us up the bomb. Go through the new door and place the ice octopuss. Go turn on the furnace. Get the ice pick from where you left the ice octopus.

Go back across the bridge and use the ice pick on the ladder. Go down the stairs to a lever puzzle.
1st row pull left. 2nd row pull right. 3rd row, pull mid.

Continue to two switches which control two statues. Pull the left switch twice and the right once to open the right passage. The statues should face each other.

"First you must feel the fire. Once it fills you stand in the second patch until you receive a sign. Then run between the short pillars.

Stand on the red dot until Javoo glows red. Then walk on the puddle next to the wall until Javoo flashes. Then climb the left ladder and stand between the pillars. The gold key appears on top of the right ladder.

Go back to the statues and make them both look north to open the middle path. Follow the path to unlock the door at the end.

"Only the right sense will show you the path."

Set your sound system to stereo if it isn't already. Listen to which speaker the sound is coming from and go to that door.

right, left, left, right left, left, right, in case you have mono. Get a plank.

Back to the statues. Make them face away from each other to open the left path. You can't beat the statue here yet, but on the plus side, you don't have to mess with the switches anymore.

Go back to the room with the snowman. Go north to where you found the hat. In the left room is a keyhole. Use your golden key. Gain the Frostus summon. Go back to the room with the moving statues. Fight the next guardian statue. Use your newest summon, kitty blast and Black hole.

"Time is 6:10"

"The wind blows to the west."

In the room past the statue is a ring of 12 ice blocks and a smaller ring of 4 ice blocks. The big circle is a clock. The smaller one is a  compass. "Set" the big circle to 6:10. Set the compass facing west.

Get new summon, Ashantis the mermaid. Go where you found the penguin. On the right side of the room, use the plank to get across a gap. Fight the statue and go to the next room with the piano. Play the tune from the background music. The piano has one chord (eight keys) you can use. You only need the first three keys. The tune is 7 keys long. The first three keys are the third key.

Save and go into the boss room. Collect Tempest stone and get in the boat. Go near Himawari and destroy the whirlpool to the southwest. Use the savepoint in the water and check out the island.

Fight the octopuss. Avoid the tips of the tentacles. Attack the base of the tentacles. There are eight points to hit. Hit each one 5 times. If you hit it and hear a thwack sound, you found a spot. If you hear a cancel sound, that "point" is dead. Once you hit all eight points 5 times, hit the mouth. If you try to attack the mouth before you hit the tentacles, it will just eat you. If you are eaten, hit the uvulas in the correct order. If you mess up, they all revive. It takes a bit of guesswork and there is a timelimit inside the octopuss.




FIONNA VILLAGE 3

It is hard to navigate in the southern area due to large areas of open sea, impassable shallow waters and stupid clouds. Just go south from the whirlpools until you hit a land mass. Sail around the shore until you hit the pier. That is Fionna village.

Go to your house. Explore if you want. Now go to Kato's house and talk to him. Leave town and get on the boat.




VEEDO 2

Talk to the Oldman about Fionna village. Talk to Jumpropegirl about the two ladies. Talk to another Littlegirl about the ladies. Talk to the little girl named Patty about the two ladies. Patty is in a house on the west side of town. Talk to the Mage girl. Talk to the bathing girl about the youngins fort.

Talk to the Girl in the skirt walking around the entrance to the fort to get the pass. Present pass to enter club. Find ten marbles in a barrel east of the save point in the club. Go north to enter the MINI DUNGEON.




MINI DUNGEON

There is a time limit in here, but you can fudge it a bit. Start walking south as soon as you can and make for the door on the left. If you make it, you get unlimited time until you return to the starting room.

There is an obscured passage on the left of the screen, right above the blocked entrance. Go up and strike the target to kill some vines in the start room.

There are 4 pulsing things. If you punch one and hear a squish, you got the wrong one. If you hear a thud, you hit the right one. Hit them in the correct order until you see a flash. If you mess up the order, you have to start over. 1443332 This opens the path to the left.

Push the blobs out of the way thoughfully. You don't want to touch the vine-ish things. Grab the bone and return to the starting point. If you cheated, the timer starts now. You got 8:00 minutes.

There is a stalagmite in the upper right area. Cut it down to use as a bridge. If the vines are moving, go down one room and punch the nerve.

Keep going until you hit a room with puddles. Push the pink things into the green things. Get the weird thing. There is a hidden door in the north half of the room. Punch the nerve in this room to lower a barricade deeper in the dungeon.

Go back to the starting room and a new path is uncovered. Don't go near your mom while the vines are moving. Instead, go up and stab the two pulsing things 5 times each. Now stab the vines to get your mother. The path ahead should be unblocked.

Just avoid the Octopi and reach the room at the end of the maze. Grab Tempest stone.

After a scene, you will be outside the town. Go back inside the fort to collect a whopping 60 more marbles.




FOREST OF ILLUSION 2

Before entering the forest, make sure Eiko is at a healthy level. If you haven't already, buy her a cat necklace in Meloku Village on the west side of Uresei.

This would be another good place to use a separate save slot to review the cutscene. After watching it, chase the Fox, discreetly. The fox will run around like a maniac. Make sure she doesn't see you. You may want to use the party selector and job selector to make the active character Nin-Javoo. It doesn't give any specific benefit, but it seems more appropriate somehow.

Have plenty of healing items, since once you enter the forest, you can't leave until you either beat the boss or are eaten by the boss. The fountain will heal you. Start a new save file if you want to preserve the file with the cutscene.


Walk north to see a plant attacking a skunk. Beat the plant to have the skunk join your party. Now all of the other plants wake up. Put em back to sleep to unblock the passage to the right. Physical attacks are worthless, so don't run low on SP. The monsters here can hit the party for 50, so don't run low on EP either. Status cure items are also recommended.

Take the right passage and push the rock on the right side. Search the blue bush for 10 marbles.Avoid the moving puddles and go into the door. There are two platforms with ladders. If you climb the left platform, fires appear in a pattern. Repeat the pattern on the right platform (it's mirrored) to get a hookshot.

Go to the starting area and use the hookshot to get your third set of clippers. Go up and cut the grass near the glowing flower. Search the blue bush in the upper left corner for ten marbles. Search the flower to teleport. The right ladder is incomplete, so go left.

Push the rock onto the hole to remove a gate on the left door in next screen.

Go through the left door. There are eight patches of grass arranged brady bunch style. Cut down Greg, Jan and Mr and Mrs. Brady. (The ones with white tile beneath them.)

Go through the right door. Note the statue. Go through the next door. You will come to a block puzzle with 12 blocks arranged in a square. Push 2nd one from the left on the bottom row. Push the adjacent block into the position the the first block occupied. Push the 2nd block from the right on the top row. This time, push the adjacent block away from the other blocks. A flash of light indicates your success. A ladder appears in the room with moving puddles. Climb the ladder in this room to the plateau. Use hookshot to hit the lever over the gap to form a bridge.

In the room over the bridge, there are more blocks to push. But there are also blocks to pull. Use hookshot in the dark corner to drop the hand to allow you to pull. The vertically aligned blocks should be pushed or pulled down. The horizontally aligned blocks should be pushed or pulled away from each other. You get a bomb.

Go to the starting room. Go to the door nearest the save point. Cut the grass and search the blue bush for ten more marbles. Note the crack in the wall. Bombs away!

Ten more marbles in the next room. There is a path in the seizure inducing pond. Tread across it to get the magnet glove.

Go back to where you recued the skunk. Use the magnet glove to pull the pinball into the hole. That isn't a door behind the pinball. Just a hole. Use the teleporter. Go to the left door to where you cut the grass before. Climb the ladder and pull the pinball with the magnet glove. A vine is removed on the previous screen. Go there and use hookshot to pull the lever. The ladder on the right of the teleporter is finally lowered.

Go down the ladder and use hookshot to pull the lever. Cross the new bridge.

Use the save point and go for a swim. Avoid things. Stay where you start until you pass the grass. Go down 2 to avoid the squidgirl. Go all the way up to get the key. Go all the way down to avoid the mine. Go all the way up to avoid the next mine.

When you meet Sarah again, Start at the top. Stay put until Sarah reaches for you with tentacles twice, then go to the bottom to avoid the waterball. Go to the top to avoid the next two tentacles, followed by an unavoidable anticlimactic battle ending.

Grab another ten marbles and pull the lever in this room. Go through the top door.

Pull the lever to drop the ladder. You are back in the room with the save point. Go to the room with the locked door. Gain ghost powers. If you search a weird statue, you can walk through walls temporarily. When time runs out, you return to the statue unless you reach another statue. Go find the statues and step on switches that are blocked by walls. Don't forget to get the plant picture and 10 marbles from the blue bushes.

Go back to the room with the (now un)locked door. Cross the tetris block bridge and climb the ladder. Get another 10 marbles and use the teleporter.

Use the statue to search the blue bush and grab another 10 marbles. It's a shame you can't use Jaime mode in here. Go through the door to the boss room. Heal and save. Fight boss.




RETURN TO BATTLE MONSTER ISLAND

Talk to Lola. Sail west and destroy another whirlpool.




ELROND CITY

There is no dock on Elrond Island, but you can park on the east coast.
Talk to the Pirateman about evil fortress. Go east and talk to the OldMan on the Bench about Pirateman. Talk to the Meditating girl in the house on the west side of town. Find 432 bucks and 10 marbles in this house.

Walking around outside of the Girl's house is a soldier who will fight one of your party members for a pass. Go to the house to the northeast to find 10 marbles.

Now go into the big building in the center of town. Ignore the neat stuff on the first floor for now and go upstairs to the roof. Stop in and buy some stuff if you want.

If you can't afford a shovel, the "clerk" offers some great advice.

"Hey, I know ya want one, but if you don't have enough cash, why don't ya go around to the homes and start looting them. This town is full of money and stuff. Then come back, k?"

Get ready to make a trip to the Skankbank, cause it's payday!

Find 10 marbles in the former Knights house. Find 10 marbles in the silent man's house.

find 743 bucks and 10 marbles in the house with the sleeping girl and magic bathtub.

Find 110 bucks in the house with the old man who gives you excaliber.

find 638 bucks and 10 marbles in the CoatWoman's house. Also a hidden pass in the wall.

Find 564 bucks and 10 marbles in the Penpal's house.

Find 10 marbles in Timmy's old home.

Find 5000 dollars laying in the grass in a narrow alley just east of the high tower.

Now buy a shovel and you can dig up those square brown patches. It's not random like the other digging games, so no worries.

Dig up an SP banana right outside the ground floor entrance to the item shop.

Dig up 25 marbles west of Timmy's former house.

Dig up $2000 northeast of the shovel guy.

Dig up 25 more marbles north of Coatwoman's house.

Dig up $1000 west of the jail.

Dig up an EP banana further west of the jail.

Dig up $5000 west of the item shop.

Dig up 50 marbles near the moat to the high tower.

Dig up $2000 near the asshole guard.

Dig up a wooden figurine west of the asshole guard.

Dig up 25 marbles east of the town entrance.

Dig up a special key west of the town entrance.

Go back to the Shovel seller and navigate counter clockwise to get to the jail. Talk to the Jailer to get the ring. If you give Tony the ring, then he abandons his post. Go in and lower the drawbridge.

Incidentally, if you visit the jail again you will see Tony apologizing to her. Thus the cycle of domestic abuse begins all over again.

Inside the tower you will find a buyer for the wooden figurine. He offers you $1000 dollars initially, but if you refuse, he will offer up to $10,000. If you refuse that offer though, he will not buy it and you are stuck with the thing.

Also on the first floor is a female soldier who lost her bracelet. Dig up the patch inside the moat to get the rusty bracelet. Take the bracelet to the woman with the miracle bathtub in the sleeping girl's house. Take the now shiny bracelet to the soldier. She tells you the password; Pythania.

Before you rush upstairs to the tower, have Javoo raise the knight job to level 4. This will be expensive. Go to the item shop and buy each piece of knight equipment you don't already own. Go outside town and Use the job selector to make Javoo a knight. Have Javoo equip the items, then leave to the overworld screen. Go back into the menu and look at Javoo's techniques to verify he can use the skill. You don't have to actually use the skill in a battle. Repeat the process with all items and Javoo should be level 4. Verify using the job selector. Now talk to the old man in the southeast house to collect a Vglove.

Go back to the ground floor of the building on which the item shop sits. Use the Vglove on the Vshaped plaque near the stairs. Use the stairs to collect the final knight equipment.

Once you master the Knight job, a bluehaired little girl appears in the south part of town to give you a key. Take the key to the locked gate on Uresei Continent near the Mutts den.

Master your final job and gain access to every ability. You don't need the job selector anymore. Now go back to Elrond and save the world!

....Eventually. There are some other side quest type stuff you can still do. Bear in mind that once you enter the final dungeon, you cannot leave, so you may want to utilize another save file.

SkankBank

Initially you can't enter the employees only area. The left teller will accept deposits. The right teller will solicit bribes. The other teller is a lazy good for nothing. If you try to enter the back, you will be asked if you want to apply for a loan. If your credit score is low, don't bother since you will be rejected. Your credit score starts at 0. To raise your credit score, talk to the right teller. Tell her to do Something hot and give her $100 to raise your credit score by 10.

If your credit score is 60-80, you can get a skankloan, but it will cost $1000.

If your credit score is 90-110, you can get a skankloan for $500.

If your credit score is 120 or above, the skankloan is free.

Find 20 marbles in the bank.

A skank in the back room wants a fan. Buy one from the soldier on the tower roof for $100. Give the fan to the skank to get the original Title screen pic.

The skunkgirl has been brainwashed by the corporate machine. There's no saving her, so don't bother.

Deposit $20,000 or more, then check your balance to impress the teller. You end up losing $2100 dollars, but you can withdraw the rest after you get the skank portrait. I suggest doing the skank bank before you buy the equipment to master the knight job. If you buy the knight equipment first and sell it back, you lose half your cash on some very expensive items.

Talk to the girl in the kitchen. She wants candy and suggests stealing from a little girl.

Talk to the little girl in the southeast part of town. Talk to the sleeping girl. Go in the Item shop building on the ground level and talk to the soldier behind the desk. Talk to the sleeping girl again. Get the candy. Give the candy to the skank to get the skank portrait.

Something else to do before progressing is to buy everything in Jaime mode. Check the section below for details.

If you have all of the pictures from the gallery, get in your boat and sail to an island south of here for a special reward.


Time to go to the last dungeon.

Buy whatever you need. This is your last chance to shop.

Find the last 10 marbles and $2966 in a dresser on the second floor tower. The dresser opens the stairs. You need the key you dug up to open a gate.




MAIDUS' CASTLE

Here you are split into two teams exploring two different parts of the castle. Each team must solve puzzles and trade items to help the other progress. Javoo's team will be referred to as team one. Team one's monsters sometimes drop EP bananas. Team two gets SP bananas.

Team one

Start by solving the switch puzzle to create a bridge. From top to bottom, 24513. Go across the bridge into the next room. Push a rock on the left side of the room to lower the ladder to the switch. Pull the switch and go back to the starting room. Search the sign with the arrows to switch teams.

Team two

Walk the zigzag path to the northeast door. Push the rock into the lava. Go back to the start room. Go into the north door. Get the hoovie juice from the chest.

"down left left right up down"

Go to the DDR floormat and enter the code you saw on the sign in Team one's starting room.
This will unbarricade team one's ladder. Switch teams.

Team one

Go up the now unblocked ladder. In the left room, walk along the darkened path on the right
side of the room to lower the ladder. Go to the upper left part of the room. Climb the ladder and get the sledge hammer. Before you cross the bridge, push the red rock.

Go back to the starting room. Still on the raised part of the room in the upper right corner is a hole. Drop the sledge hammer into it.

Team two

Go back to the zigzag room and pick up the hammer. Destroy the barrier blocking the pipe in the starting room. Go to the right door and ride the barrel. Go to the southern door. Go to the far left and destroy the barrier. Pick up the heavy glove and put it in the pipe.

Team one.

Items dropped by team two will appear in the room with the moving puddles at the base of the pipe. Go get the heavy glove, then head back to the starting room.

Go up the ladder and into the right room. Push the big rocks closer to the smaller red rocks. You can only push them one way. A hookshot appears in the middle. Go back to the start room.

Go into the room in the lower right corner. Use your hookshot to hit the lever and make a bridge over the lava. Take the golden key. Go back to the start room.

Go up the ladder and into the left room. Use the hookshot to hit the lever and make a bridge. Grab the shovel. Use the key on the keyhole to the right to open two new doors. Go into the right door. Push the six red rocks until you see a flash. Back to start.

Go into the left door. There are no real hints for this puzzle. Just put the statues in chronological order, mermaid, vinegal, skunkgirl, skankbot. Pick up the green gem and go to start.

Go to the moving puddle room. Put the green gem in the cup. Take your medicine (heh.) Go to start.

Go up the ladder and into the left room. Cross the right bridge and stand in front of the waterfall of lava (lavafall?) Place the pill into the lava to shake things up a bit. Go to start.

Drop the shovel in the hole.

Team two.

Pickup the shovel. Go to start.

Climb the ladder and pickup team two's hookshot. Go to the room with the DDR mat and dig on the brown square tiles. Dig up door key. Go to start.

Go through the right door. Climb into the barrel. Go through the southern door. Use the hookshot to hit the lever. Cross the new bridge and pickup the staff of Pythania. Go to start.

Give the staff to team one.

Team one.

Pick up the staff. Go to start.

Go up the ladder and into the left room.

Go to the right side of the room and head into the right door. Head left and up and climb the ladder. Put the staff into the hole. Go to the east side of the room and pickup the bombs. Go to start.

Go in the right room at the top of ladder. See the cracks in the wall? Blow it sky high! Go in the door and pick up the plank. Go to start.

Go in the left room at the top of the ladder. Go into the far right door. There is a stream of whirlpools in the lava near the ladder on the right. Drop the plank into it.

Team two.

Ride the barrel again. Cross the plank bridge and unlock the gate to the small room. Pull the switch.

Central room.

"Recomended level = 30"

The middle path opens. Once you enter, you cannot go back to previous rooms to level up, so go to the left or right paths to save. You can't use the arrows, but you automatically switch teams when you walk through the left or right path rooms.

If you have any EP or SP bananas, use them on Tinesh, Javoo, Lola or Skailer. If you have trouble with the battle ahead, Scan the enemy and take note of which attacks are effective. Then revert to a previous save file and Level up to 35 or so.

JAIME MODE

You get this automatically, so it isn't really a secret, but much of this is optional. I wanted to keep the main body mostly a how-to-progress guide. You can do a few things here. Change the music, examine monsters you have defeated, Get tips from Jaime, Buy things with marbles, see your stats and look at your pictures.

SYSTEM

MONSTERS
Lists all of the baddies you beat down as well as showing stats for each of them.

STATS
Shows how many times you've been in battle, saved the game, how many marbles you have and how many cheetah girls you've fought. I've beaten 51 cheetahs.

SHOP

You can find over 600 marbles in the game and earn many more through minigames. Spend them here. You can buy minigames, new background music and pictures of monsters.

Extras

You can buy a party switcher and some cutscenes.

Spells

There are some useful spells here, particularly the whole party heal spell. It works like an inn, which lets you heal everyone for the price of one sp tonic. If you have only a few marbles, buy spells first.

There are two ressurection spells, a nonbattle heal spell, an status effect spell and an upgrade for Black Hole.

Color Schemes
Change the dialogue box background color.

Pictures
Purchase full sized monster pictures for the gallery.

Minigames
Try to win each minigame at least once. Try to win Pacman several times because when you chomp 40 ghosts, you get 50 marbles and access to more purchasables.

Battle music
Buy more music to hear during battle.




ADVICE

After you meet Jaime, you can use Jaime mode to get useful advice... sometimes. When you get one of the messages below, unless it is obvious, I have provided further guidance as to what to do next.

"Ok you guys got a new look. Now you might be able to get into an area you hadn't before."
Go To Himawari village.

"Well it seems you need to become a master fighter in order to get into that dungeon. Talk to people. Some will help." Talk to the boy upstairs in the pirate house.

"Seems like you need to find this Garku character. Yup, I would bet on it."
Play Rock Paper Scissors with the red haired girl in Himawari.

"Hey, now that you're a master fighter, I bet you can get into that stone dungeon East of Miyuki village."

"This dungeon has some tough puzzles. Make sure to either remember or write down stuff you read on signs. and when they mean patient, boy you'd better be patient. Follow the clues and you'll do fine."

"Hey, now that you're a master black mage, I bet there is someone you can speak with now that you couldn't before. On to the next Stone." Go to Wubbit village.

"Looks like you made some friends. Go explore and see what you can find." Just walk outside the forest.

"That temple might have your next clue. Go there." Go inside the temple and talk to Japeelo.

"Ok, try exploring. Maybe there's a town nearby that might have some info on the stone's location." Go to Fukairu. Learn about and acquire the blue flame.

"Hey, now that you got the blue flame, you can get into that dungeon to the east. Go there. Hurry!" Search certain trees on the path to burn them.

"This dungeon should have some different puzzles. Just make sure to read the signs and think them out."

"Now that you got the stone you can return to your own time. You may wanna make sure you got everything in this place before you go home." Make sure you have the snake kid and snake slut portraits and maybe reexplore the town. Then go to the temple.

"Alright. Now with the power of two tempest stones I'm sure you can venture on where you couldn't before." Get on the ship and you can destroy some whirlpools. Others will require more stones.

"It seems that only animals can get into Mutts Den. I bet someone in town will have usefull Info."

"If the catgirl is still in the town to the west, I bet you could get her to help you."

"Wow, what a cute kid. I bet she'll be helpful getting into the Mutt's den. Don't get eaten."

"You can put that plug in some sort of hole, I bet."

"Fill that pot up with stuff you find laying on the ground. That's bound to come in handy." Fill pot with blood.

"Hey, you got another Tempest Stone. I bet you can get past another of those annoying whirlpools to the south."

"Hmm, it appears theres access to a cave in that snowy town, better ask around some more."

"Ash must be the town's leader. Wonder if he knows something about the cave?"

"Well it looks like only a summoner can get in. Maybe if you can find a way into Pethar, you can continue." Examine the barrier near the stream of fire.

"You can get to Pethar if you can find someone who can get rid of that barrier. Guess you'll have to go town to town until you find someone. I'm betting that person is a very reliable kid, er person." Talk to the girly little narcissist in person.

"Go to Himawari. I bet you can find that pirate guy there."

"yeah, with that magnetic Box you should be able to short out the barrier device. Fun.

"You should be able to get in the ice cave now. Head there."

"With more tempest stones you should be able to explore even further on the map. Just be careful, ok?"

"It's time to return to your hometown. You should be able to go south from Eiko's village to get there."

"What a terrible fate. Head East. Maybe theres more to learn."

"There may be some shady doings back in the forest of illusion. Better go check it out."

"Hey it's time to track down the evil one. I bet you know an old friend who could help."

"Elrond is a big town. I'm sure it has some connection with Maidus and his evil forces. Better get exploring."
