Presidential elections

hmmm... the way I see it, the Republican party will become more openly desperate and radical to win the next few election cycles (2014 and 2018 too). In doing so, they'll alienate the less extreme of their party members, effectively sinking the entire ship.
At that point, a new or revised party could take over basing itself on more moderate principles, or just riding populism if the economy hasn't improved yet.

Alternatively, Obama may screw everything up so badly over the next 4 years that he sets America up for acceptance of an extreme right wing takeover, Hitler-style.

Oh well. Time will tell. I'm just glad America didn't elect a corporate raider to lead them.

I heard something like that in 2004. And in 2008, too. I'd love it to be true, though.
Back then, it was more of disenfranchised people thinking they're rapidly becoming a majority. Individual compartmentalization lending to their belief that if they feel the need for a third party, one will come about.
Now it's about the likelihood of the Democrat or Republican party self-destructing and a void in the ballot being replaced by a well organized, more sane group of people.
I think I might've jumped the gun on my thoughts though. Maybe in 2020 we'll get that new (or face-lifted) party. In 2016, we'll see the last hurrah of the Republican neocon party with all manner of voter suppression, digital vote fraud, october surprise, etc.

(In case somebody didn't know: if it weren't for non-white people in the US, Obama would have never won.)

Yep. The Republican Party is the party of rich, racist white men; a rapidly dwindling demographic.
Meanwhile, the Democrat party is the party of soft touch, sellout diplomacy. They're a little more populist than the Republicans, but big money controls them too.

I think in 2016, we actually may see the beginnings of a genuine third party (or a replacement 2nd party).

[Poll] Fan Art Competition *Voting*

Ephiam's art is to this game is like Yoshitaka Amano's is to Final Fantasy.

For in-game character art, I think Magical_Rune_Knight_200 is the best choice. There are several close seconds. This was a hard call D:

Presidential elections

I was hoping for this outcome.
Congrats to any Americans here on electing the lesser of two evils. No matter how much the ruling class favored Romney, and how much money was poured into his campaign, the average American citizen saw him for the dirt bag he was.

The Republican party's descent into irrelevance continues.

What opens this?

I'm looking for a drawing program that can open this.
*.GEM is an ancient graphics format. This shit predates Windows 3.1. Even Deluxe Paint can't touch it.

Any of you better-equipped artists/spriters able to open this thing?

calunio is one to talk about game censorship >:3

The last volume of Grappler Baki is out. The last. Ever. I never though this day would come.

Wikipedia confirms it. I can't wait to sit down and catch up.

Issue with the Game Submission rules.

Dyad had a gamepage for awhile. Once Erilex expressed his intention to go full-on commercial, he withdrew his profile. Jude did something similiar with Necropolis.
You might be able to host a gamepage during the early development stages for feedback and fanbase building. It wouldn't be unprecedented. Confer with kentona about it.

(after some Googling, there's a different, more-famous indie game called Dyad. Someone should notify erilex)

Lucas is a great... idea man.

Corrected.

Lucas is one of those few creators whose vision struck gold with the mainstream. When it comes to actually being able to write a plausible and enjoyable story, well, we all seem to share the same opinion.
