Isn't Beginner's Intimidation a hurdle for everything in life that we do? First day of school, new job, sex, art, marriage, retirement, etc...
What's so magically different about RMing that we should gradually ease newbies into it? If entering the RM community is a daunting task for you, then show some guts or GTFO. It's no different from any other community.
