You know, you shouldn't be dragging Christianity or the concept of 'Sin' into this.
Challenging people's morals based on their spirituality is an unfair generalisation. The teachings of Jesus Christ were all about Peace, Sharing and Foregiveness, while the Vatican was all about War, Power, and Punishment. People individually pick the characteristics they like and apply those to spiritual self-empowerment. A broad statement like "You're a Christian, so you hate gays" is as grossly unfair as "You're black, so you steal things."
My personal belief in such a situation is that anybody willing to force me to make a binary choice between things I love, I will always pick the alternative. So I might be biased when I say you made the absolutely correct choice.

author=SorceressKyrstyIt's more pandering than propaganda. US politicians always throw a bone to the bible belt. It's a big, simple minded demographic. Notice how many of their speeches end with "...and God Bless America"?
However, this is less 'opinions' and more propaganda, which we SHOULD have a say in. It's about spreading hateful, prejudiced thoughts into others through mass media rather than an 'opinion'. He's not blogging, he's running for goddamn President.

Anyway, Despain said it. Rick Perry might be able to fight for a little longer but he doesn't have what it takes to become President. I'm still estimating either a second term for the illegal alien or David Petraeus.

Topics like this are why I don't call myself an atheist. Most atheists have the same level of intolerance as any other organised religion, except they express their disdain with derogatory comments and slander.
For me, it's all about The Big Electron.

To my knowledge, it's the US/NATO powers that are assembling a missile "defense" system along Russia's borders, as well as creating instability in the regions China gets it's oil supplies from.

I still oppose anyone of these candidates, that none of them has the spine to shut down the movements of China or Russia, especially now we need to do that more then ever.
