ITCH.IO SCANDAL :: CHECK YOUR NAMES AND GAMES!

I don't think it was bots. I noticed there was some custom text for the short description, which seemed to indicate a human understanding of the game's content.

Befuddle Quest VII: Advent Children

Cool! Where do I sign up for th... OHHH geez! I'm so sorry...

3ROGUES

The premise of the gameplay was a pretty interesting idea, but the beginning is already way too difficult when there's no HP recovery between levels and you have to restart the entire world.

Also, the collision detection is a little buggy:
-after a collision with an enemy, possibly when one happens quickly after another, their movement route sometimes gets thrown out of whack
-sometimes it doesn't correctly detect a back collision. One example maybe is if the enemy walks a set square path, and I follow behind him on the same path, and collide at a corner spot

Ruby Script? Notice me Senpai! HELP!!

If you find a script you want to use, this is how you add it to your game:

In rmvx ace, at the top bar, there's an icon called Script Editor. It's next to the Sound Test button. Click on that and scroll down to the part between Materials and Main, and then right click that spot and choose Insert to make a new line. Type something for where it says Name, and then copy and paste the actual script onto the blank white space on the right side. Then make sure to read and follow any instructions written in the script itself too. Remember to save your project when you're done. Repeat for other scripts you want to add.

Yes, I think you should try to make a small game for yourself first. Maybe just try to make something really short, with just a few maps, with less than an hour of playtime, just to get familiar with the basics first.

I disagree with that. That would just encourage people to put up a separate new Download for every little change/update. Highly Rated near the top also means some games will never get a chance to be there.

I like Buzzing Games where it is now. Even though I don't like that some games always end up back there, it's still the only category that gives a legitimate opportunity for every game to be there sometimes, without direct interference from the creator.

Wasn't Whole Foods accused of "mislabeling" the weight of their packages and overcharging?

So no, not lie, just... mislabel.

The Featured Game Thread

Right now that billboard thing on the front page is advertising 3 events that are already long over. I really think that needs to be updated more often, because it creates a bad impression to newcomers that this isn't an active community. The active users at the bottom of the forums look thin as it is already, compared to say rpgmakerweb, so I really think even a little thing like this will have an impact in the long run.

If there are no events or anything to put up, might I be so bold as to suggest featuring more than 1 game per month? It may seem less special to get the spot, but I think it would actually serve to help more people and promote more games overall.

Legion Saga Arcade

I didn't hear any music or a single sound from the title screen up to after the first battle. Is that... normal?

I opened another MV game just to check, and sound is working fine for me from every other source.

Greetings! Advice on engine selection . . .

One more thing to consider though, is that there are fewer people using rm2k/3 now, so it'll be harder to get help or answers if you get stuck with something. It's easy to use, but it's not always THAT easy or intuitive...

If it were me, I'd say the most objective choice is to go with MV, even though I haven't used it myself. Since it's the newest engine, it will give you the most support and options to easily create your game. However, it would also mean you need to do a lot of manual work to find and edit the type of graphics you wanted.

I bought my fourth winrar license.

I nominate this for Status of the Year award.
