Resurrect the Dying

I've been here for a decade and somehow this is the first gammak event I've actually participated in.

John Carmack forgive me for my sins...

I still love RMN

Change is scary

I think at least part of the appeal for small forums like these (at least for me) is also that it's owned and operated (at least software-side, if not the hardware) by average users, not some giant corporation. The same reason why people tend to be more sympathetic towards small companies.

"This above all; to thine own game be true." ~William Shakespeare

Gammak should not be a journey to the release with the intention of your game arriving safely in a pretty and well presented upload, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of drama, thoroughly used up, totally resentful, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Mess!"

I still love RMN

Agreed. I kinda miss when forums were big in general. RMN and the Spherical forums were my two main ones.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

I finally got around to trying Disco Elysium. I'm definitely enjoying it so far, though I feel like I have to change the way I play these kinds of decision tree games.
Normally when I play a game where you're given multiple different choices on how to go about solving a problem or simply doing something, I go with the decisions I'd make if I was in that position IRL, but the situation is so bizarre, that that mode of thinking doesn't really work here.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

The main game I've been consistently playing for the past while has been Space Station 13, on /tg/station.
It's like multiplayer Dwarf Fortress in space, but with a less steep learning curve, and you play as one of the dwarves in the worst space station in the universe.

robotfindskitten Review

I'm surprised to see such an in-depth review and LP of this a decade after its original release, and I appreciate the input.

I feel like I should have made it clearer in the game, but while I did write rfk for Sphere and the remake for neoSphere (which I never got around to releasing on RMN), I'm not the creator of the original robotfindskitten, this is just a port. My goal (possibly to the game's detriment) was to keep it as close to the original as possible, albeit with some added found-item strings.
