Super wish there was a way to do color cycling in RPG Maker. What a shame!
If it's XP onwards, I feel like it could be accomplished satisfactorily via scripting.
This took about a minute and used the change hue method which is a terrible way to do it (but quick to code!), you could get a better result using colour blending on the sprite.
If you want to go into more detail I'm happy to have a go at coding it properly.

I have all the fruit now, I finally got a non-native fruit island and I traded with Old Pat who had the two I was missing.
Still no bamboo though. Also interested in tracking down roses.
