GAMINGMITCHELL03232013'S PROFILE

I am a newbie to this site and RPGMaker. Currently I am working on an untitled game in RPG Maker 2000. (It seems to be really easy to use, even with it's limitations) I will post a demo when I see the game is "demo worthy".

Ooh! Godot makes a return!

I'm glad you kept his design intact from the first game, however he kinda looks like a certain vampire in a certain Francis Ford Coppola movie.

It's been some months since I've worked on my game (Pokémon X/Y stole my life), but I've been getting back to gamemaking again recently. Feeling like doing some graphics work, so I've been updating some existing monster animations and creating some completely new monsters as well.
Short video showcasing some of the new and improved animations on my 2 basic monsters.

That looks really spiffy! How long did it take you to implement the animated monsters and the enemy HP bars?

Help

I honestly don't get the point of Oalston being the only one who can learn Ultima, given that he learns it at Level 80 regardless.

Just asking, does Oalston learn Ultima at all for anyone else? He does in my copy, but I can't remember if I edited that or if it was always like that. (I honestly wouldn't know because the only other time I went into the database was to increase the stats of some of the super-bosses and the final boss as they were too easy for me)

1. Hold SHIFT when placing Grass tiles.
2. Put some lampposts and cars on your map.
3. Have some people walking around.
4. Maybe have some man-holes on the streets? (Don't just sporadically place them, I normally put them every 4-6 tiles)

I'm assuming they're both Ice-Types because their names are Miceberg and Volice and they arguably look like rodents from the Ice Age?

1. Job system - You have four characters: Fighter, Thief, Black Mage, White Mage (Not their real names or class names). They'll each have their own slew of jobs to pick from (I'm shooting for 6 jobs per person) as you progress in the story. The classes might consist of things like a Magic Knight for Fighter or an Alchemist for White Mage.
2. Custom graphics. No, I'm not creating original resources for this game, but I'm compiling what I think I'd like to use. I'm doing this because I don't want to make an RTP based game. *cough cough Charas Project...*

I'm trying to take my time with this project, as this is the first time I've done something with RM2K3 since VXA's American release. I have deadlines for specific things I'd like to have done, or else they won't get done due to my lazyness, but I'll see how things work out.

Final Fantasy 6 Remake!

Eh, whatever. I'll just stick to the GBA version, arguably the definitive version anyways.

I just find FFVI to be overrated as a whole.

It's not as grind heavy as FFII and FFVII was, but it's nearly there. There's no balance at all IMO, once you've had one character master everything, the game is pretty much beat like in the said games. However you're not required to master every Esper as you don't have to master every Materia in FFVII, but just the fact that you still can is a downside to me IMO.

I'm probably going to just get it to see how it stacks up with the other iOS games and it's original, but I probably won't pick it up again given that FFVI is #7 on my favorite of the first 9 classic FF games.

Brace yourselves, the RMN Storefront is coming

I really don't know how to feel about this.

One one hand, it's great that RMN is going to be used for a site to buy commercial RPG Maker games on, but on the other, RMN has hosted freeware games for so long, that this change also feels unsettling to me.

I think I'd feel better about this if the quality of the game determined whether or not it could be commercial. We don't want messes on level with Future Helper being sold for money.

Just my opinions though.

If you haven't finished selecting all of the super bosses, I'd like to give an idea as to include Yiazmat as a Super Boss. Just an idea though.

I really like how how you're using RM2K3's Monsters. Not only are they practically big enough to be an opponent, but it also gives some attention to them.
