I also wasn't so much sure that Gourd or Demon would turn on me, but more that I thought it more likely that an endgame of just Gourd, Demon, and me would make me a much more likely suspect since all three of us were on the Eggbert train.

Edit: reading scum chat and realizing your tactic for a hot second was to kill ppl with the most votes cast makes TOTAL sense. It would look like targeting active ppl, bc in a way you are but is more about roles than activity. Very interesting! Also think it's funny you thought me or demon might flip on you. I was more convinced that you were town than I was of demon being town!
I felt good about my instincts at the beginning of the game, but after lynching eggbert I just kinda waltzed into trouble. Even if I hadn't been accidentally killed by cap, I do not think the game would have been ended differently. I very much would have gone for shinan and tale on the last day before I went for emily.
edit2: oh! also, while i enjoy playing with a role more, I didn't think it was fair to scum so I didn't take it. I assumed everybody else thought the same since nobody even mentioned it. it pretty much never entered my mind again after that.

It's kind of a mixed bag I think. Confirmed town is a target for scum but it does make us less likely to mess up during the day. Skipping a lynch I think is worse with information like that, though. Then scum can just kill the confirmed and town gets no new info. It depends on how close you are to the end though.
I feel pretty confident about the innocence of say Emily and Demon but nobody is CONFIRMED.

I figure there probably are only two because three would be a lot. It's an interesting thought, although not very likely in my opinion.
Think I'll put down my tale vote tentatively since that was my first instinct. Ozzy hasn't exactly made me feel better, and being afk during pivotal moments to avoid doing something that hurts seems like something scum ozzy would do. If tale isn't evil I wouldn't mind looking further into psy and/or ozzy tomorrow.

How about this? I'll ramble some thoughts for each person then throw that in a spoiler tag, give a short summary and conclusion on that person, and I'll rank everyone from most innocent to evil scourge of the land.
The List(tm):
Emily is town afaic. She was on eggbert early and he would not have been lynched otherwise.
Demonlord seems to be town also. He was the first to vote for eggbert, and basically led town to kill him. He's done great scumhunting so far!
Psy seems like a townie to me, but day 1 was kind of messy for him. He wanted to kill someone other than the scum we eventually landed on. In the end, he hammered when he didn't have to do so. I trust him, currently.

I, like, don't love the idea of going after somebody who is quiet because that gives us very little information and is a good way to lead town toward a mislynch as mafia. Could be scum? But, I can understand the logic behind that with emily as a townie as well. Besides, the people I'm most suspicous of also happen to be quiet, even if it's a coincidence in my case. Not really interested in pursuing her as scum today. She helped lynched eggbert early when she didn't have to do so. Today she is actively scumhunting.

I feel like I never have a good read on him when I play with him. He is very helpful and active, when he's evil it's always a surprised. That;s meta though, in this game he;s been great. I do like that he's putting out theories and clearly taking time to actively scumhunt. There is a part of me that bristles at the suggestion of looking at the people who killed eggbert day 1, but since demon was in that list I'm sure it's probably not scum trying to kill townies who did well day 1. Very helpful member of the game it seems, so not really interested in pursuing him.

I don't think psy is suspicious at the moment even though he's arguably the least innocent looking of the people who voted for eggbert. The desire to kill shinan first is pretty messy lmao. emily makes a good point that pretending to be afk was very much an option - and in my opinion the better option for psy if they were scum. Losing your scumbuddy (of which I'd assume there is two - max three) day 1 is a pretty big disadvantage and loss of time. I guess it's possible eggbert told psy to do him in because he got busy with irl things he mentioned day 1. In which case, it might have been the play that leaves psy in the best position while not being rude to the other players by keeping a player around who doesn't have much time. That assumes a lot though. I'm not super interested in pursuing psy today, at the very least.

My gut feeling immediately had me on both tale and eggbert at the same time for similar reasons. It's true tale looked better bc they were only the second vote on shinan, but the multiple people stacking up on shinan in the first place is what initially alarmed me. Eggbert may have felt safe following a scumbuddy on the train.
