I think I might have gotten a glitch where the enemies just kept coming at me without letting me move? I went up to the door, walked back down the hallway then when I tried to go left at the intersection I just got one encounter after another without them letting me move. I think I got like 12 of them.

how i get mint's cloak?
I don't remember the specifics but it's something like this.
When you first get to Silver Spring, there's a period where Mint rests at the doctor's house while you're alone with Ivy and Cyril. You need to get Mint a really good gift. There's a teddy bear just like the one she has at home sitting at a vendor on the west side of the city. He will tell you he will give it to you if you get him a better spot to sell. There's a vendor by the westmost entrance to Silver Spring who is in the spot you need to get. They will complain their employer made them setup here and they'd be happy to move. Their employer is in the accessory shop in the top right of the same map. The employer will tell you that the problem is some public policy. From there you have to go to the town and get the policy changed. You need to show the guy in charge of the greenery for the city something that will inspire him. That thing is a ball you get from a girl in the Low Town of Silver Spring after giving her a little bit of money. He'll then be happy to take a decrease in budget and then you can get the policy changed, then the employer will let their vendor move and then the original vendor will give you the bear. Go back to where Mint is resting, give her the bear, and you get the cloak.

The environments are beautiful and the game is just long enough for ppl who just want to get through it, with enough extra content and challenges you can self impose there's always a new way to enjoy it after a playthrough.

So I'm gonna write it down before I forget (expect edits):
Paradise Blue is the closest anyone has gotten to making a great Final Fantasy Fan game, without actually being Final Fantasy. I've been on rpgmaker.net since 2007 and I haven't seen anything come close. If you're planning on making a Final Fantasy game in rpgmaker - this is the first game you should play.
It's like FF1/FF3/FF5. You create a party. You go on quests. You fight monsters. You earn classes, skills and abilities. Those classes unlock better classes, skills and abilities, the more experience you gain - However, what separates Paradise Blue from other games, is not only the gorgeous and original pixel art that permeates throughout the game, that makes it look like long lost NES JRPG, but the new and unique classes you earn like "Chocolatier" and "Assassin", along side series staples like "DarkKnight", "Summoner" and "Paladin".
Paradise Blue, shows that there is so much more than can be done with Final Fantasy, than what Final Fantasy is doing itself. Paradise Blue is like if someone took a Final Fantasy 1 cartridge and painted this gorgeous mural in acrylic paint on the outside, but also, somehow, on inside of the game itself, while adding new quests, skills and abilities to it - it's like when you hook up your favorite game to a sound system for the first time and start hearing the intricacies of the music or when you hook that favorite game up to a new TV and begin noticing and appreciating the art that went into it.However, this is probably overselling it.
Paradise Blue, was made for rpgmaker2003 - It's the Arts and Crafts of Final Fantasy. There really hasn't been anything else like it, when there really should be. It scratches the surface of what rpgmaker and Final Fantasy, together, could be.
This is a must play for anyone even remotely interested in creating a Final Fantasy fan game; you need to play this game first.
I have played it for years and never gotten tired of it.
