You mean like they have been continuously for the past year? ;p

I'll get on that VA thing tonight.

Well it hasn't been that active in that front for a couple of months! But if you take a look at our first music events there were a lot more people from our common user base. D:

And yeah thanks! I think I'm being a pain in the ass.
I think it might be because there's been a feeling of 'professional work' from the SoS things instead of 'dink around in some music making stuff and make shitty songs for the sake of fun and silly times'. Most people here are game makers. Some know how to make music a little, some are a bit more versed and then there's the bunch that are like super good at it but not really in the community or not active in the community.

Also, possibly an over-burn of music. There's a reason we have breaks between the game make events and have other events between them - so that people don't burn out and can work on their own games. That way they don't feel like there's a continuous stream of event, event, event coming at them all the time.

There have been a lot of events, but I've been loving it. It's just that Summoner of Sounds kind of got put on the backburner for me, both because I got really busy, and because I became slightly less interested in making music. Sorry, Hap. *hugs*
I got the distinct sense that my Mario Paint Composer entries wouldn't be welcome.
Aw, we can have an even just for Mario Composer! It can count as another Mario event since we never have enough of those.

What I am mostly saddened about sometimes is that it feels like that even if the actual creators and the audience share the same web space they aren't meeting one another as well as they could. This is something I'm looking into improving with the event mechanics, but even with raffles and such it seems people rather go for another round of review drama and watch a poor guy get banned.

Though when there is so much material to work with I understand it can seem a little intimidating. I've thought that a good way to counter this a bit would be trying to do some more easily approachable, smaller recaps, like audio reels and such.

Those are on the way though, and I hope they'll help out.
