It's quite a good game, and they've recently improved (lessened) the endgame grind. So, if fear of the endgame worried you, worry less!

It's not perfect but it's overall very engaging and enjoyable, especially if you're into gothic or Lovecraftian horror and appreciate watching your characters die of stress.
