It's not just the sewer though, the beach area in the subway(?) also has serious lag. Not AS bad, but still pretty too much for me to press on.

How far along along is the third demo?

Demo 02 is about an hour long fill of gameplay... and ends around 55% /100% of the total game.

None of the maps have very many parallal process events running...except for the Zoomer Canyon. (which you havn't nearly gotten to yet)... The only other reason, would be the use of the overlaid Minimap... but it COULD just be that your PC can't handle the huge maps... I'm not entirely sure...

The game just run's slow on some PC's... I reccomend getting into windowed or mini-windowed mode to try and help it out.

>> Demo 03 is currently 30$ / 100$ and will add about another half hour to an hour of gameplay... it will not be the last demo either...

[DEMO] Klonoa FanRPG

First of all, I hope you at least enjoyed what WAS playable... And mabey if you can get past the lag and other issues, it will show some Potential...

Okay! lets jump right in...

Since your post is a Copy-pasta of 3 or 4 or five others like it in previous months... I already have the answers for you. How lucky is ya now hm? ;D

1) Jak 2 Similarities

A - I'll be honest, at the time I was constructing alot of the missions... I had allready set my game up and was looking for ideas... Jak 2 was a big fun game for me at the time... And sure enough, It holds many similarities...
a- I wont mention, because it has to do with the ending...
b- is the locations: I had initally mapped out the first major area outside the City and 1 other mission identical to Jak 2... from there...I think it just grew on me... Although I'd say it influenced my take on the environment, instead of just making me want to rip it off...which I hope I'm NOT doing...

2) The Lag in the Sewers

A - Every PC that I have tried this game on, I never experienced trouble... BUT LOTS of people complained about this...
The problem doesn't lie with parallel process events, theres not many on the map... HUGE map btw...
no, The lag comes from the display of the 'Spotlight' Image... It wasn't done correctly, and has been fixed since... My Apologies.

3) The Mini Map, wtf is it for again?

A - Again, I addressed that this was another huge complaint... The Circle tells you the location you need to travel to... and it's mentioned in game.
The Mini Map has been completely redone... it's alot easier to understand now, I promise you...
...However, you'll have to wait for Demo 03 to see the changes... ^_^

Klonoa is a fantastic series and I recommend you give it a go if you like platformers and can stomach cutesy graphics.

I don't normally bother with RM fan-games, but I will probably check this game out eventually when I'm not so swamped.
Thanks alot. Given, I started on this project a WHILE ago and have gotten better and learned alot since then... but I realy think it's a decent game sofar.

What Is Klonoa?
- (Taken from Wikipedia)

Klonoa (????, Kuronoa), sometimes referred to as Klonoa of the Wind (??????, Kaze no Kuronoa) is an anthropomorphic video game character created by Namco and Klonoa Works, and has starred in several games bearing his name since 1997.

About My Game.

The Great War has come and gone; now what remains is a lone city surrounded by walls on all sides that is slowly dying â€" Ka'delra City. Reuniting once again, they become rouges for hire. But after failing a mission for the current Lord Huepow, Lolo is arrested, and Klonoa forced to flee for his life into the city, vowing to rescue her.

Info On Current Release:

Before you decide to play the Demo, which is about an Hour or so of playtime given you understand what it is your doing. (Unlike a small percentage of individuals) You may want to take a look at some of the most common complaints - and the changes and additions that are scheduled for DEMO 03.

The Most Common Complaints

1) Lag in the sewers due to an overlaying 'Spotlight' Image
(Only on slower machines) Can be improved by forcing the game to Windowed Or Mini-Windowed Mode.

2) Gets somewhat repetitive near the middle of demo
(See Below)

3) 'Mini-Map' (Map of current Location) Is to hard to understand. (Despite Color Coding)
(See Below)

What to Expect in DEMO 03?

1) The Lag and Image itself have been fixed up in the Sewers.

2) Side Missions
have been added to let the player explore more of the world, and give them something to break up the time. Completing Side Missions will also help them complete their Main Objectives.

3) Updated 'Mini-Map' now has a fully detailed, scaled down view of the entire map so you can better spot locations from where you are.

4) Mission Log - which will be accessible from the menu, will display each Mission the player has been given up until that point, finished & un-finished - As Well as help remind the player what their next Main Objective is if they happen to become sidetracked or want to come back to the game at a later time.

I hope you Enjoy!
Please comment and review and tell me what you think - It's because of responses I am able to help fix and make this game even better.

Make a Racetrack!

I apologize that the names of the switches and variables I was reffering to in this tut are now not shown... They were inside " " and were removed when uploaded...

Hopefully you can understand it on your own... I'm told their working on removing it so I can re-upload this tut with the fix's

And you are...? (THE INTRODUCTION THREAD)

Hi all!

Name's Huepow00.
I'm 20yrs. old.

I delve often into making music, either in MP3 or midi formats... or whatever else I need to convert to. lol.
I also draw (though my scanner's broke, so I'm stuck with digital art as of late)
I've been using RM2K exclusively for about 4 or so years it seems like... I've only recently jumped into RM2K3 because 1 of the games I was making involved alot of things that were quickfix's in 2K3, so it made the jump.
I'm also learning Game Maker7.0pro for another new project of mine, a scrolling shooter. Unfortunatly, all that exists of the game thusfar are mockup screenshots and lots of 3D modeles and resources I've created. (I use Farbrausch's demotool, the werkkzeug1 for 3D stuff and texture Generation...tho thats more of the wz3TE.)

I'm currently working on 3 games (4 if you count the Scrolling shooter) - They are each 40% - 60% complete.
So I'll be leaning into those here when I can...

I'll try and upload some of my music when I get the chance as well.

It's good to be here!

EDIT: Oh, about my games! ^_^

Klonoa FanRPG - Fangame based on the Klonoa of the Wind franchise. It's set in the future and isn't as childlike as the actual games.

Avalon R..E..M..A..K..E - The original game, released in 1998 and winner of the ZDNet Shareware Award in 2000 was a huge inspiration to me. With the creators overwhelming agreement, I had started this fanremake to re-create the ole' DOS game in RM2k. newer credits of course to those supplying new graphics.

Kirby: The Dreamland Effect
- One of my most challenging projects to-date. this RM2K3 rpg/puzzle game has working Copy Abilities outside of battles that are used to solve puzzles and pass each stage.

Einhander: die Mondkrieg
- Still under development (I'm actually waiting on my lead programmer, ProjectShadowBlaze) This will be my biggest jump yet, right to GameMaker. It's a Scrolling Shooter fangame to honor the classic 'Einhander' by Squaresoft.

RPGS... you've beaten

Most RPG games I'm actually not very good at...
Unless their fairly easy...
I've beaten a few pokemon games, if you can call those RPG's...

Avalon was a fun freeware PC game that I'm very very fond of...
& I beat both of the Golden Sun games...
I'm still working on a few FF games right now - and Mushai - Samurai Legend... if you wanna call THAT an RPG...

Chrono Cross I need to pick up again, and Chrono Trigger left me rushed through Magnus's castle under-leveled and stuck with barely any items and low health...

Top Ten Topic: Top 10 N64 games

Not surprisingly, after my SEGA, I hopped onto the PLAYSTATION train... so my N64 days were short, and were mostly over at my friends house's... Though, Emulation has let me experience some more...

Here's my top 10.
(1-fav/10-least fav)

1. Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon
2. Conker's Bad Fur Day
