Using faces in RPG Maker.

I was wondering your thoughts about using facesets for characters in RPG Maker. I'm trying to figure out if I should use them in a game I want to make. I'm going to be using RPG Maker 2003 because it's the one I'm most used to, and there are graphics available for it that I like to use.

The problem is, my idea for the game involves a lot of characters and a lot of foreshadowing. Meaning, that nameless character you see in the beginning who seems to not be very important, might appear later with a huge role in the story. Paths cross and collide and things like that. In other words, I can't go with the method of using faces for just the important characters. Because then the player would know who will be important and who won't be.

I could not use faces for anyone, so nobody knows how important a character is. However, it seems like it would be harder to give characters a personality. It's much easier to handle when characters have different facial expressions in scenes. And I'm not exactly the best writer, so it would really help me out if I could rely on faces.

I could use faces for every character in the game no matter who it is, but that would be almost impossible finding a face for every character and NPC you talk to the entire game.

Or, I could go in-between. Maybe only give faces to the characters who are known to be important to the player. And once a new character becomes important, give them a face all of a sudden. Would that be a good idea?

Looking for a good Rpg Maker game to play.

I'm looking for a good Rpg Maker game to play. I'm looking for something with a deep, epic, dark, and serious "oh shit" storyline. Something along the lines of: Taking on a government, taking on the world, taking on the universe, taking on some threat that you have no idea how the characters can possibly win, something like that.

I'd prefer if it was either modern or futuristic/sci-fi themed. It doesn't have to be, though. I've listed some examples:

***For those who have seen the anime Gurren Lagann: The prologue/first scene of the series showed the characters really far into the story chronologically. They were in deep space with millions of stars everywhere. They mentioned how "all the lights in the heavens were there enemy." Tons of shit was going down, and they had to take it all on. (Then the rest of the series went years back in time.)

***A Blurred Line, how the whole Agency, plus the ridiculous/mysterious "Kersh" guy, all after Talan. As well as the prologue showing that something terrible happens to the world. And tons of weird plot twists along the way.

***The anime/manga One Piece, although not futuristic, the main characters eventually decide to take on the entire World Government. Wanted posters are everywhere, with incredibly high bounties on their head. Basically, the world becomes their enemy.

Yeah... Are there any good Rpg Maker games like this?

A Blurred Line: Line's End

What happened to the page for that? It seems it was deleted or something. I would visit there occasionally to see if there were any signs of progress (Lys posted there last year saying he still plans to finish it.) So yeah, why was it deleted?

Also, if anyone feels like discussing the series, feel free to post theories or something.

Rpg Maker game - A Blurred Line

Has anyone ever heard of or played this game? It used to be a very popular Rpg Maker 2000 game and I'm sure there are some people out there who still like it.

If you have played it, then you probably know that the sequel never came out. Because of that, several mysteries and plot points were never revealed. I've always wanted to discuss theories and things with other ABL fans and this might be my chance.

So, you guys wanna discuss it?

What did you guys think was inside of the "package"? Why do you think Kersh wanted it? Who "is" Kersh? He seems to have been around for a long time, without aging. Is he immortal? Is he a robot? I want to hear people's thoughts.
