[RMVX ACE] Damage Numbers and visible HP?!

Hey guys, I'm still learning the ins and outs of Ruby, and as such I'm still working on a battle system that utilizes events on the side. One major headache that I always have trouble with using this method is damage numbers and hp/mp/whatev bars.

What do I mean by this exactly? Well, in Ruby Radiance I literally uploaded pictures of numbers 1 through 30 and cycled through the graphics depending on in game variables. (Did 6 damage, took 4, etc.) With my latest project in mind, numbers will probably reach in four digits. I'd rather not make thousands of pictures of each individual number ranging from 1 to 9999. Is there an easier way to do this without resorting to using a custom battle script that I would be restricted on due to my lack of Ruby knowledge? Be it some fancy method of recording variables or even a Ruby script so simple as to be able to trigger variable numbers on an event, or listing whatever someones HP will be on the screen? Thanks.

[SFX] How to find NES/SNES Sound Effects?

I've torn the web apart looking and tried every resource in Zophar's Domain, and I just cannot find SFX of classic NES and SNES titles. Specifically Final Fantasy 1 and Final Fantasy 4. Any suggestions?

And by SFX I mean the literal sound effects, not music.

[RMVX ACE] Locked out of game!

Hey guys... I just recently had my computer wiped and restored. Unfortunately I was unable to upload my title Ruby Radiance to the cloud before this, and as it would seem I have the option to edit the game (when downloaded from RMN) locked out. How do I get my game back to where I can work on it?

[RMVX ACE] In need of Wild West Graphics!

Hey guys! I was all of a sudden struck with the urge to begin a Wild West rpg and am missing a lot of key necessities. Does anyone know where I can get a load of weternly themed graphics to use? I need Monsters, Battlebacks, Sprites and Face graphics.

[RMVX Ace] [Script Request] Some Basic Attacks Cost MP

Ok! So here's my predicament. Basic attacks costing MP I've got down by modifying Skill #1, my question is this. I want to have two weapon categories, one of which costs MP to use weapons, and one category that does not. (IE one is a firearms category, one is a melee weapon category. MP is replaced with Ammo.) Not only this, a lot of the characters dual wield - so dual wielding a firearm and a melee weapon should only have the MP cost of the one weapon - and double if they have two firearms equipped. Lastly, I was hoping it would be possible that if you can't use a firearm due to zero MP, you'd instead perform a weak physical attack. Is this all possible?

[RMVX ACE] Blue screen of wipe my game from history

Hey guys! Just writing here because I've hit a brick wall. When I was working on my entry for the Indie Game Maker Contest, about a week into the work my computer decided to blue screen during a save in the program. Turns out this corrupted the entire file and I had to start the whole game from scratch. The only way I could make it work was by borrowing a friends laptop so I could finish my submission for the contest. Well, that time has come and gone, and I've only had RPGMaker VX Ace for that month and I'm really wanting to get back into the program and work. The problem lies therein with my personal computer.

At first I just planned on getting a new computer, but finances have not been kind to me lately so I have to think of something else. This blue screening problem of mine comes and goes with the passing of time, at any given month it may be so bad as to blue screen memory dump once every hour or so, (especially moreso if I have heavy memory programs running that aren't full screen) yet for some reason full screen games (like Terraria, for example) run fine without blue screening. (League of Legends is the exception... It would blue screen five minutes into any game.) And then, some months it will run without blue screening whatsoever. Everyone I speak with says that its a memory problem with my motherboard, and the only fix would be a new computer altogether. Now granted my computer is a decade+ old alienware, I just cant afford to make the upgrade right now. Are there any suggestions on what I should do to avoid losing weeks, if not months of progress in a game by it blue screening during a test save?
