Working on a RM2k3 project where you play with an half-blooded orc/human, and your mission is to kill the good guys and rule the world with blood and caos. Actually it's more like a dungeon crawler, and you play with a group of guys who are completely crazy:

like I said, a half-blooded orc, whose name is Balbino; a guy named Romeo Royal who is suppose to be learning evil stuff because he is the prince of darkness, but rathers spend his time uploading photos on facebook and chating online... it's a reference to this generation; a crazy cowboy named Lucky Fandango who thinks is stuck in a video game and was trapped by his archy enemy The Illusionist, and finally, you still have this crazy old dude who used to be a hero, but was forgotten and became a travesti named Sweet Jane;

So far, so good. I've never enjoyed making a game like this one. Hope you can hear from it soon.
wow that sounds pretty awesome
Thank you, I hope that you will hear about the project here soon!

RPGMaker 2003, A Beginner's Guide, Part One: Starting a Project!

Thumbs up on this tutorial. I wish I had had this opportunities to learn the basics years ago when I started messing around with Rm2003. Good work. :)

The Screenshot Topic Returns

Liberty, nice effects, the tints are pretty good, and the map is very well drawn as well.

Tau, I think it looks fantastic, but you should put some light outside the cave, coming from the sky to create a contrast with the darkness of the cave. It remembers me the beaches of Portugal. Very good =)

The Screenshot Topic Returns

@Lotus: I really liked the way you draw the first map. Those mountains are neat, pretty realistic, and that may be a problem because it contrasts with the animations that look draws in 2d. The HUD has a good shape too but if you put some texture on it instead of a gradient, it would look much much better. The second screen is very good, I've never seen such a good underwater effect.

@UPRC: I think you should continue drawing your own tiles. They are amazing and very charming. They deliever the nostalgic feeling of retro gaming. And I think that was your goal.

Only one thing about the map drawing. Some trees are too close together, it makes the map look too symmetrical, which is not very good. Try disperse them a bit.

@Itaju: I just loved the way you did those boxes, like pieces of a puzzle. Very fancy, and the system looks very awesome as well. Keep your good work.

@Craze: Man, that windowskins is just beautiful. I'm not a big fan of the first person battle style, but all the elements fit just fine. The battlers, the battleback, the faces and the window. I like it all, very much. :)

Good screenshots, good work everybody.

Thank you, Your Highness of Camelot!

Epic Elf 2

I'm a huge fan of Epic Elf, so I'm obviously playing Plunge of the Knight. I'm missing some personality in this new character, I understand these are only the first demos released and there is a lot to work on. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll just sit back, pull on my fantastic joystick and play the new 1.2 demo.

Thank you for the good reception...

About Morrowind, yes, I've discover the series only now with the released of Skyrim, but I felt like I had to tried at least another game of the series, so I gave a chance to Oblivion wich did not disappointed me. But I never played Morrowind, I would rather start the series from the first game, Arena.

My only fear is a fan game of Skyrim in RPG Maker. Jeez...

Hiya, grandma! Welcome to RMN.
I've never played Skyrim before unforunately. Maybe I can rectify that soon.
Greetings. That game should be free. That's the way I feel about it. But be warned, once you start playing it, it will take all of your life. That's the price of such awesomeness :)

Tacos are great, thanks!
