Some update on the character editor I have been working on. The face is animated (with several magic laters, I might show you later how it looks).

Colors can be changed at any time. The colors on the back don't match the ones on the front due to being a bit remiss on this case.

@Erave:
I so dig your Tile Sets, but your Charsets don't seem to match that style. Their size reminds me of the old NES RPGs, but the environemnt seems too look much more like SNES stuff. I'd love to see if you could merge tile sets and char sets a bit more. :)

Well if the development of your game is already full in mution there might be no possibility to change that much in general graphic style :)

As a popular feedback I picked neck 3 and changed the chin line/left side of the face. What do you think?

Screenshot Survival 20XX

I reworked the neck and shoulder section of my face set as many people concerned the shades casted by the chin would be too dark. I also added some more details and slightly changed the perspective of the neckline.

I highly appreciate your opinions and suggestions. Does the new version look better? Does the perspective of the shoulders/arms look correct? How can I improve it further?

Edit:
I made a third and fourth version. This looks a bit less sinewy and the latter even less dithered. Which is your favourite?

"This is why we're here."

Congratulations, now you're an artist. :)

Those are 2 tiles, 32x32 pixels each. I put them on the map in a

AB
BA

pattern, but you could also use
AA
AA

BB
BB

or
AA
AB

or whatever you want.

I created the pattern so there would be long and short planks once combined. The length also depends on if you use a certain tile consecutively (which might let some planks seem to look extraordinary long).

Ok, I did my ABC's tonight, I hope you like it:

Just 4 colors on the floor tiles btw. (5 if you take the dark shades into account)

I tried to port some of my tiles to a higher resolution (32x32 tiles). What do you think? How would you rate it in comparison to general XP or Ace tiles? Would you like to create a game with it, providing there would be enough different tiles for your needs (like full interior and exterior fantasy settings).
Be honest, I might be working on them to release them, but only if it matches requested quality standards.

I SO want to play that thing once it comes out. This game deserves the ramake you are creating.
