Ok, I admit: this menu design is totally lame, but it's functional.
Character development of my main character Laura will realized by a big puzzle board.
It's a mix of Final Fantasy X Sphere Grid and Final Fantasy XII License Board
For every Level Up you get one of three different colored puzzle pieces. Yellow for the beginning, green for advanced progression and red for the end game. The four directions of the board represent the stats Attack, Defense, Magic and Speed. Occasionally you will discover a hidden blue field below a usual field where you can fill a blue puzzle piece and learn a new tech.

If you have any suggestions how to improve my design, especially in conjunction with the overall Puzzle theme, let me know!

i'd be honored if you try out my old RPG Maker Game Three Monkeys I created for a contest of games that do not contain any kind of text (so it can be enjoyed by anyone not depending on their native language).

It's a demo that I declared to be an full version. Gameplay is about 30-45 minutes, so you can do it quickly in 2 or 3 parts.

It can be easily considered as being a horror game with great shooting ABS. Most of the graphics are original.

Thank you for the little Puzzle sprite. Maybe I will find some use for it!

Yeah, the colors and saturation is something I am definitely working on, but a quick Palette swift can always be done.

The graphics of the HUD will be redone as soon as everything is in it's place and working, of course. Right now, functionality has high priority for this HUD.

The CBS is an Action CBS. Three Players (two of them can be controlled by up to two players) vs. five monsters. The puzzle pieces are used to determine your next action, adding some randomness flavor. I will introduce you to my system once this project is developed enough to start an own page on this site. Pixie can be controlled by Player 2. :)

No plans currently to changing that face sprites. When you start playing you will only see your health bar + face of the very first character. So one you've seen those two items you know what the face is about. There won't be any big swapping of characters so you never need to know which one out of 10 or so are your active characters (like in FF series).
