Hello all, my real name is Jeromy. I'm a video game fan in general, but the way that RPG's make you feel sucked in to an alternate world easily make it my favorite genre (given that the story don't suck.) Aside from that I'm a father and a husband and I work my butt of to take care of my family. I love gaming, but family will always come before anything.
My favorite game... wow, that's a tough one. I'll just list a handful that I really enjoyed in no particular order. Only a handful though, there isn't enough space to list them all.

I'm looking for a specific type of weapon proficiency plugin for MV.
Is there a weapon proficiency plugin for RPG Maker MV that will make certain weapon types stronger or weaker when equipped with classes? For example.
In my new game, all characters can equip all weapons, but I want to make it where if say a white mage equips a sword. The stats for the sword will decrease by a certain percentage.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be most appreciated.

Ha, yeah, had this happen to me recently because I was too stubborn to do backups since I never experienced any data loss in 20 years of using RPG Maker. RIP Blackmoon Prophecy III.

You're right, he can be a dick. I guess the silver lining to this is, I've had an idea for a backup project for like a year now. Guess nothing stopping me from starting it now.

Sorry took me so long to reply. I tried restoring to a previous version of windows but no luck. I tried every trick to recovery recycling bin but it wasn't there. I thought it might have been Uploaded to my OneDrive but no.
I literally tried everything and I am just completely baffled. I do have some backups but a lot of them are really old. So yes I am kicking myself for not being more vigilant with the backups.
My brother said to me what's the big deal it's just a game. That kind of made me mad because I put a lot of time over the years into it.
If I ever find myself able to get back to RPG maker I learned the hard lesson about backing up more often.
I literally tried everything and I am just completely baffled. I do have some backups but a lot of them are really old. So yes I am kicking myself for not being more vigilant with the backups.

If you look in img/system folder, you'll find three graphics, "weapon1", etc.
You can edit these to replace the weapon types you're not using in your game with more variations of the weapons you are.
Then in your database, create a "wooden sword" weapon *type*
Assign it the side view image for "whip", or whatever you replaced (and make sure the motion is correct: swing is usual for swords)
And make sure every class / actor that uses swords has both the "wooden sword" and "sword" equippable.
Set your wooden sword weapon to be the wooden sword type.
Repeat for each unique image - you get 32 types out of the box, which should be enough for most games. You'd need a plugin to go beyond that.

Is there a way to make it so that each individual weapon has its OWN visual graphic, rather then one for all weapons. Example, I have a wooden sword equipped, but it shows the default short sword icon in battle when attacking.
