JPARKER1984'S PROFILE

Hello all, my real name is Jeromy. I'm a video game fan in general, but the way that RPG's make you feel sucked in to an alternate world easily make it my favorite genre (given that the story don't suck.) Aside from that I'm a father and a husband and I work my butt of to take care of my family. I love gaming, but family will always come before anything.

My favorite game... wow, that's a tough one. I'll just list a handful that I really enjoyed in no particular order. Only a handful though, there isn't enough space to list them all.

Disgaea 3 (PS3)
Final Fantasy 5 (SNES, PSX & GBA)
Final Fantasy 7 (PSX)
Dual Orb (SNES)
Breath of Fire 3 (PS & PSP)
Bahamut Lagoon (SNES)
Magic Knight Ray Earth (SNES & SATURN)
Everlong (RM2K3)
Enchanted Arms (PS3 & XBOX 360)
Jade Cocoon (PSX)

I understand this is your first game, but you should try touching up your mapping some. I don't usually care to much about peoples mapping skills, but there are lots of people that will harp a lot about bad mapping (not someones first game though.) I do like some of the concepts you got going on, the agility things is neat. Keep up the work and I hope you finish it. Not many people finish their first attempt at a game.

Yeah, they are very vibrant and colorful. with that old school flare.

id like to offer a suggestion, instead of using the Mac Tiles (which are great, they are just over used.) Why not use the Dragon Warrior chipsets from the SNES era? I think it would still give it the old school feel while at the same time breaking away from the nes style stuff.

EDIT:
Also, if you use RM2K3 i will be willing to design your battle character sets.

What are you thinking about right now?

Lets see, what am I thinking. Ah ha, I got it.

"Man, I want to watch porn. Should I watch porn, hmm. The wife is sleeping in the other room. It would be pretty embarrassing if she happened to wake up and walk out here."

Simply beautiful man, I this dose not end up falling under the same category as many awesome looking games. The, "It looks to damn good, there is no way the creator will finish it" group.

strange issue with battle weapon in RM2K3 (in battle)

yeah, i think your right. its just annoying though. I am just going to deal with it, thanks guys.

strange issue with battle weapon in RM2K3 (in battle)

well, i guess its just a weird issue with RM2K3. I was referring to the character from the "BattleCharSet" folder that has a weapon from the "BattleWeapon" folder.

strange issue with battle weapon in RM2K3 (in battle)

yea......like for example. Enemy Great Evil and enemy Slime.

No matter what battle weapon, attached to any character. For enemy Great Evil, when the character runs up to attack, the character and the battle weapon will go behind the enemy.

But, with enemy Slime. It works fine, the SAME character will run up with the SAME weapon and it will be in front of Slime.

Here are the monster sprites I was just referring to, perhaps that can help out.
