Slow walk speed... One word: Annoying.

Chrono Trigger style characters are fine, but you're going to have to do more editing than what's all ready been done. CT uses more animation frames for their walk cycles than RM2K3 does, so they look ridiculous in motion. Two battle systems is kind of weird... If they're well-integrated it's probably fine but I really doubt that. Nothing wrong with the tile sets--only the way you're using them.

So... in the battle-system, do you perform three commands per turn or do the combos apply over three seperate turns? Would be nice to see a video instead of .gif's.

Over three separate turns. I put a video up the same day I uploaded the prologue one. It moves quickly because I'm an impatient button masher so I don't know how much you'll glean from it. The menu shit at the beginning is because of have some debug options turned on to test stuff. Let me grab the URL...


I'm procrastinating on making videos for the battle system tab right now since I'm wrapping up a few new additions. I completed the first chapter so I'm adding battle animations (I saved them for last since they're just flair, not necessary for the game to function).

when will this be released?

Not soon. I'm maybe a week from finishing chapter 1. I'll decide around then whether or not it's substantial enough to make a demo.
