My introduction

My Background:
Hi everyone, my name's Joe, I'm a french-speaking Québécois from the province of Québec and I'm 19 years old. I've been a fan of video games for mostly all my life and have always been the kind to make my own stories. So, after years of writing my ''fantasy novels'', I stumbled across RPG Maker '95 when I was about 5 years old. ''Awesome'' would be the word I'd choose to describe what I felt that day. Seeing all those screenshots from the maker, all the possibilities from the fights to the cut-scenes, it was a dream come true.

Unfortunately, as I said, I'm a french-speaking person and when you're 5, you don't speak much english in your day at school here. Like I said, it was awesome to have a software in which you could have Link fight along Mario and King Edgar in a fight to the death against the evil Ganon and king K.Rool. But when it came to use the engine, in english, let's say I was overwhelmed. Thus, from that day, I would work hard on learning english. In a way, it was my quest.

To make it short, I would work on RPG Maker 2000, RPG Maker 2003 and RPG Maker 3 (PS2). Sadly, in all those years, I would only make one game. ''Legends of Heroes'' on RPG Maker 3. While a short game, I was proud of making something for the first and only time. Since then, I worked on RPG Maker VX for 4 years and finally, RPG Maker VX Ace.

My passions:
As I'm from Québec, I am a huge hockey fan. I've been watching hockey ever since I was around 3. The love I have for my Montreal Canadiens is something special. Whoever wants to have a good hockey discussion, talk to me ;). As I said earlier, I love video games. Really do. RPG's, side-scrollers, puzzle games, action-adventure, etc. Although I like many genres, FPS are a no-no for me. If there's something else I wanna add, it's my passion for everything that's old-school. The NES/SNES/N64 era is where it's at.

Final input:
By joining this community, I wish to meet developers, learn to improve my skills and be part of a community that shares my passion for game-making. My personal goal is to finally release a game, something I've never pulled before.

Looking foward to work with y'all.
