I enjoy playing and creating games (mostly RPGs) and have a love of story and characterisation above graphics. I've been into RM* since '96 and have used all makers - started on the PSX makers, found and used a patched version of the SNES RM, then moved to RM95. When I found RM2K I finally decided to join some forums and I've been a part of the community ever since.

Secret Santa 2016

It's that time of year again, folks! Time to get your share on~

What is this?
Why, it's Secret Santa, of course!

It's a simple thing, really. Throw your name in the hat and get one in return. You are that person's Secret Santa and must keep the name secret from anyone! Then, before the due date below, you get them a present. On Christmas Eve, you will receive a gift from your own Secret Santa and happy fun times are had by all~

What counts as a present?
We usually like to keep it site-centric so stuff like reviews/media for games, short games that cater to that person's tastes, something for their game (resources/scripts/etc), something you think they'd like... that kind of thing. If you have a hard time coming up with ideas, you can ask me as intermediary to ask them what they'd like.

If you have another idea for a gift, PM me and I'll let you know if it's fine.

So, how do you get in on this action?
Easy! Just give a holler in a comment below before the cut-off date. Simple, eh?

Rules are as follows:
- First rule of Secret Santa club. Don't talk about Secret Santa club.
- Second rule of Secret Santa club. See rule #1.
- Sign up below by leaving a comment that lets me know you're joining in.
- The cut-off date for joining is the 8th of December.
- You will have until the 24th of December to send me via PM the gift for your Secret Santa.
- Do not tell anyone who you got until at least the 26th of December.
- If you suddenly need to drop out, PM me ASAP and I'll do some rearrangements. It would be preferable that you don't drop out, though.
- You do not require a game to join! It can be something small, cute, and personal, just for that person. Or, you know, related to their games too. ;p
- Names will be released on the 26th of who gave what to whom.
- Please make sure your gift is of a decent quality. Put some thought and/or effort into the gift.
- Please do not include illegal or pirated items in your gift. Especially pirated games. I didn't think it needed to be said, but apparently it does.

How to submit
- For video submissions, use a free-hosting video site like VideoBam, flikr, Break, GorillaVid, Veoh and DailyMotion.
- Send me the link via PM before the due date.
- For reviews and artsy stuffs, send me the text/etc of the reviews/etc via PM before the due date.
- Do not add your reviews, arts or videos to the site until at least the 26th.

Game 'Publisher' PM Spam

Many of you probably received some kind of PM last night/yesterday about a deal with a studio.

The person in question is a known spammer and was warned for doing the same last time they were on the site. They have been banned for this again (their ban expired) and had their duplicate account banned as well.

Whether you decide that their offer is for you or not is up to you, just keep in mind that they chose to spam a great amount of people the same offer and thus it is not your particular game that they care about - they just want money.

There are many ways out there to publish your own games. Just think on if you want your game tied up with the name of a company who does these kinds of practices and have a wholesale strategy for every game, not taking into consideration the personal aspects of the game itself:
- They do not check for rips or non-commercial material before offering you a publishing deal (apparently they assure me that they do check after they do the spam for interest trick but who knows? Just keep in mind that this can be dangerous for you.)
- They do not take into consideration whether a game is finished or not
- They do not take into consideration the length of your game
- They do not take into consideration whether your game is all custom assets or a mix of RTP/free resources

(I have since been told they customise afterwards based on details but frankly the first offer is pretty terrible representation-wise. That and they have some contractual details that are not great for people who want to maintain and continue work on their projects. Basically, if you like your game and want control over it when it comes to choosing where it's published, they probably aren't the right fit for you.)

They do not care about your game personally, instead sending out a bunch of PMs in order to catch a quick hook. Fly fishing, basically. Quick spammy casts to catch the attention of unwary 'fish'.

Think long and hard before deciding whether you want to trust a 'company' that works that way. Take care of yourselves when it comes to business practices - usually the easy and fast deal has a lot of issues that will make you regret.
Very few things in this world are simple or easy.

Also, if you do decide to take up with them get someone who is on your side legally to take a look at the contract to make sure it fits your desires when it comes to what you want from your game. Don't get caught out by a pretty by-line or the lure of fast, easy cash.

I'm looking forward to my "we're gonna sue you and your site for this thread" letter. (Already got it - that was fast. XD)

Your Newly Added Staff and Moderator Team!

After kentona and GRS left us, the rest of us sat down and twaddled out thumbs for a while before doing role-call. What came up was a bit disheartening - we'd members who hadn't been around for ages, members who didn't do anything and members who weren't being put to good use.

So we figured, hey, time to reconfigure a little and do something about it. Time to restock the shelf, so to speak.

Without further ado, here are the new staffers/mods and their roles.

StarSkipp (Will be helping out with events)
Illy (In charge of our Youtube)
Eplipswich (Also in charge of our Youtube)

Archeia_Nessiah (Front Page helper and Social Media (Twitter/Facebook))
Zeigfried_McBacon (Events and Engine Pages)

A few other roles are either being confirmed and initialised or still a little up in the air/need double-checking, but this is what we currently have.

Please give everyone here your congratulations as well as your support!

Please keep in mind that more names may be added later as necessity dictates, and that we appreciate all the people who put their names forward to help out. It really made us happy to see so much enthusiasm and general desire to help within the site. And remember - just because you offered to help and are not on this list does not mean that there's no chance you'll ever be on here. If we need more help in certain areas we'll be looking at those who offered to help out to, well, help out!

[RMVX ACE] Menu Paragraphing

I'm having some trouble with a few scripts that I've got set up for my horror menu system. I've been looking for a way to fix it for the past few days but cannot find the right piece of script I need to change, so I figured I'd ask here.

Basically the problem is this:

As you can see the text in the bottom window is cut off by some sort of padding or something, and then begins to go weird. I'd like for there to be only the same padding as on the left, and for the letters not to start going strange like that.

Currently I'm using a few scripts to get the menu to look and work this way.

1 Person Menu by Doctor Todd:
SEE Item Menu Ace by Crazyninjaguy:
Snippet edit of SEE Item Menu:

Other scripts I'm using (but I'm sure isn't making an issue):
- Fix to Map by Modern Algebra
- Receipt Window by Modern Algebra
- Hover Alerts by Modern Algebra
- Better Autoshadow Kill by Neonblack
- Item Amount Remove by Soulpour777
- Font Changer by Mobychan

And an edited version of Window Save File default script by myself.

Help please? >.<;

Acts of Random Kindness Day [GO!]

The site hasn't burned itself down quite yet, but there are bad feelings all around. Let's do something to clear the air a bit.

September 1 is the International Acst of Random Kindness day and we're going to have a small event where everyone who wants to be involved can do small acts of kindness towards each other on the site.

This can involve something as simple as finding a video someone might like and sharing it with them, to making media or writing a review or even just leaving some feedback or comments on their game pages (if they have some).

Try to give to people you don't really interact with much or might not know that well. Feel free to check out some of their older posts to see what they like. Ask the people who are their friends. Pay attention to them over the next few days.

Something kind, something simple, something random.

You may give to as many or as few people as you like. The more the merrier, though.

Post in this thread to commit to doing a kind deed/s on the first.

[One Piece Mafia [Sign-ups]

Welcome to One Piece mafia, where we use the world of One Piece to play.

For those of you who know nothing about One Piece, you can find the manga of it here, though it is very long it's worth reading if you've the time and inclination.

But for those who have neither, a short run down.

The world is made up of five oceans - North Blue, East Blue, West Blue, South Blue and the Grand Line. The Grand Line runs all the way around the world in a dividing line, separating the Blues. There's a first half and a second half to the Grand Line - the first half is called Heaven and the second is called the New World. The Marines keep peace in the Blues and try to keep peace in the first half, but the New World is ran by four Warlords of the Sea (Yonkou), pirates whose power has made them equal with each other and who claim many islands as their own.

In the Grand Line are a lot of islands, all with their own localised weather systems and magnetic pulls. At the end of the Grand Line is Raftel, the hidden island where the now-dead Pirate King, Gold Roger, stored all of his treasure.

Those who seek the treasure, those who seek power, those who seek adventure - these men and women become pirates and set sail for the Grand Line, hoping to find the clues that will lead them to the island of Raftel, where they can claim the title of Pirate King.

Against these pirates are the World Government and the Marines. The World Government is ruled by the Gorosei, a 5-man group who head the political chain in the world. Below them are the Celestial Dragons (the World Nobles) who are a group of racist pathetic inbred fuckers (no really, bar two that we've seen the rest are complete assholes). These jerks are basically spoiled little shits who get their way in everything and indulge in such wonderful past times as slavery, killing men to marry their wives/fiances, killing just because they feel like it, treating everyone who isn't one of them like complete trash, acting like utter fuckers and stealing candy from small children (probably.)

The Marines are headed by the Fleet Admiral Sakazuki (former Admiral Akainu, user of the Magma Magma Devil Fruit), and have some extremely strong and capable fighters. Among the force that can be called on by the Marines is the Shichibukai, seven pirates (and their crews) whose bounty was removed and are given a carte-blanc on all their actions as long as they do as told. These are made up of some extremely strong and capable pirates.

In addition to them are the Revolutionaries, a group of freedom fighters who are engaging in a hidden war against the World Government, headed by the most powerful man in the world.

Into all of this steps Monkey D Luffy, a young man from East Blue, who forms a crew of pirates in order to become the Pirate King. They are not heroes but they are not villains, merely a family of friends who have their own goals but are tied together by bonds of acceptance, friendship and determination. One Piece is their story.

The world of One Piece is vast, detailed and there's a lot of lore. We'll be using that world and lore as the setting for our Mafia campaign this time around.

There are a few races in One Piece that you can pick to be.

Human is the basic and most populous race. It's pretty straight forward. Human is human, though in One Piece they are a lot more resistant to damage than real life humans and some have lived quite long lives (150+). They are found in almost all parts of the world and have many different civilisations.

Humans can breed with merfolk to produce a human-merfolk child. However, further interbreeding with humans appears to remove all apparent merfolk features. After just two generations, the only merfolk trait is a fast swimming ability, with all other physical traits being human. Humans can also breed with fishmen to produce a wotan. Humans, fishmen, and merfolk also share the same blood types, and can have transfusions provided the blood type matches.

Fishman/woman are bipedal fish-people who live in the Grand Line, though sometimes they can be found in other oceans (often as part of pirate crews). They usually live on or around Fishman Island, which is a passing point for pirates headed to the New World. They can live and breathe in water or on land and are 10x as strong, physically, as a normal human. Their natural skills are dictated by what species of fishman they are (for example, octopus-based fishmen will likely have ink-based abilities whilst a blowfish fishman will probably have poison and spike abilities).

Their biological make-up reaches back many generations so someone whose great-great-great grandfather was a hammerhead fishman could have a child who is also hammerhead fishman. This allows for a large diversity of fishman/women types.

Fishmen are a rarity and often in high demand for slavery. There are some who have escaped from slavery and joined the Sun Pirates, bearing the tattoo that covers their slave marks.

Merfolk also live in Fishman island (in fact, they rarely leave the areas around it) and are extremely fast swimmers. Much like Fishmen, they draw from their ancestral genetics when born to dictate what type of Merfolk they are when born, though the main difference between the two is that fishmen have legs and merfolk have fins. Indeed, it's not uncommon for Merfolk and Fishmen to interbreed. Merfolk have the ability to breathe underwater, talk to fish and swim faster than anything on the ocean. When they are older adults their tails split into legs to enable them to walk on land without hindrance.

They are highly prized as slaves, mainly for the sake of vanity and rareness of their species, especially young females. The fact that they are so fast and can call on fish to help them makes them very hard to catch. Usually those caught are found on land, where their swimming speed cannot help them, or by trickery as they do not have much interaction with humans and thus can be rather naive.

Giants are a species that are basically like much, much bigger humans. Their biggest point is that they're huge and that most of them come from a Viking-like society on the island of Elbaf. Their abilities are pretty much using their bodies (or super-sized tools) to destroy and crush. They are also a lot more resistant to damage than other species and live three times as long as humans.

Giants are a scattered and rare race, some of them found working for the World Government (and thus the Marines) whilst others have joined pirate crews.

As Giants are considered a human race, they can also breed with fishmen and this gives rise to giant Wotans, who retain their fishman-based biology and powers, but with the addition of a giants' resistance and a much larger (but not quite comparable) size.

Dwarves are an extremely small sentient race. In comparison to an average sized human, their difference in height is approximately the same as that between a normal-sized human and an average-sized giant. They are mostly human in shape, apart from having a thick fluffy tail and often have pointed noses.

Dwarves, despite their size, are very strong and nimble. They are capable of destroying a building quite easily and can move faster than the eye can see, often making them hard to find by normal means. They also are very good at growing plants, with a natural affinity for it. They are, however, very gullible and easily tricked as they are quite trusting which can be a problem as they are prized as slaves for their novelty.

The Longarm and Longleg tribes are human-like peoples who have longer arms and legs than other humans. The Longarms have an extra joint in their arms, allowing for extra movement. This gives them a greater versatility when it comes to attack and reach.

The Longlegs have much longer legs, making them taller than normal humans. Their legs have greater reach and are stronger than normal, so they can move quite fast and their kicks are devastating.

Also prized as slaves (at this point, who isn't? Goddamn World Nobles).

The Mink tribe are a people who live on the back of a giant elephant named Zou, who walks the world as a moving island. The Minks are quite isolated due to this, though they have close ties to the ruling family of Wano Country and are very welcoming to guests, despite a belief that they are isolationist.

Minks are humanoids with animal features and each takes after a specific mammalian animal. They possess humanoid hands and feet, but those based on animals with paws will also possess paw pads on their palms.

The species that individual minks take after are not hereditary but how mink reproduction works and how each member gains their physical traits has yet to be fully elaborated upon.

Abilities seem to be based apon the type of animal they are. For example, a rabbit-type would have enhanced speed and jumping ability, whilst a lion-type would have more power and range. They are also very good at stealth and identifying others, and have the ability to create a shock-like attack called Electro which some can channel through weapons.

Every Mink is a warrior and capable of protecting themselves. They are trained to use their skills to fight and continue to do so into old age. They also have an enhanced rate of recovering from injuries.

Minks are very honest with their desires and naturally pursue things that their animal traits stereotypically like (for example, bananas for primate minks, fluttery cloth for bull minks or bones for canine minks). They tend to show affection to others in the form of "minkship", which includes cuddling, nibbling, licking or exchanging clothes and most of them are fond of humans, some even confessing attraction to them. Whether that means interbreeding is capable is not known, however they do believe that humans are furless minks themselves.

Devil Fruits are the basic 'mystic powers' in the world of One Piece. They are a special, one-of-a-kind, bad-tasting fruit that bestow a power on being eaten. One bite is enough to give that power, though there are drawbacks to having a Devil Fruit power:
- You can not swim. Instead you sink like a rock in deep water.
- You grow weaker the more submerged you are in water, meaning the being fully submerged will make you unable to move.
- Your power is nullified when in water of a certain depth (gonna say about up to your knees as a general rule of thumb).
- Keirosaki, a special type of metal, is imbued with the power of the ocean. This metal nullifies a Devil Fruit Users' powers, and are used usually as hand-cuffs or jail cell material by the Marines.

There are three kinds of Devil Fruit.

The most common of the three classes, Paramecia class Devil Fruits offer their users superhuman physical abilities or traits, such as shock wave generation and locking onto targets. Other Devil Fruits can alter features of the body such as a rubber physique or a body of blades, or the people, objects, and environment around the user, like levitating objects or turning people into toys. Finally, there are some users that can manipulate and generate some kinds of substances, such as wax and poison.

The users of Zoan class Devil Fruits gain the ability to transform into an animal (and acquire every trait affiliated with said animal). The user can also transform into a human-animal hybrid form or a twin-beast hybrid. Zoan Fruits can also be transferred into weapons, such as guns or swords. There are Zoan Devil Fruits based not only on common animals, but also on prehistoric animals like dinosaurs and mythological creatures as well (ancient and mythological are rarer than the typical Zoan Fruit, with mythological said to be even rarer than Logia Devil Fruits).

The rarest of the three Devil Fruit classes, Logia class Devil Fruits offer their users the ability to transform themselves into an element, whether it be solid elements like ice or sand, liquids like mud or syrup, gases like smoke and poison gas, forms of plasma (in some cases, energies) like fire and lightning, or into a materialization of abstract concepts such as darkness.

This can effectively make them intangible, making physical attacks harmlessly go through them, or allow them to be able to absorb the attack completely. They also gain every ability related to that element (such as in the case of sand where moisture can be absorbed or lightning where the user can travel through objects like electricity does) and gain the skill to disperse, control, and rejoin any part of their bodies while conscious and in control of their powers (including explosions, bullet wounds or cuts). Logia users can move every part of their transformed bodies while in element form.

In General
There is no real power ranking between Devil Fruits, bar similar 'elemental powers' such as Fire vs Lava or nullifications such as Rubber vs Lightning. Otherwise it is all on the User of the power to make up their own skills and abilities based on the Fruit in question. Someone you may think is stronger could be defeated by another 'weaker' fruit user who has out-thought them. Imagination is key when it comes to who is stronger and whether one power would beat another in a fight, so there is no 'mine is better than yours'.

For the purpose of this game, you cannot use an already-existing Devil Fruit.
There is the list of currently existing ones.

How to play

First things first, we're going to be making a crew of characters. You must make one character each. Characters will fill a role on the crew and each will have a Devil Fruit.

What I'll need from you:
- Character name
- Character race
- Name of Devil Fruit
- A few possible NAMED abilities that you'd use it for as a fighter. Imagine you're a shounen fighter~ (For example if you were a giant that had a fish-fish fruit, BUBBLE BUBBLE BLOW (a skill that would blow giant bubbles to distract and trap an enemy) or TAILFIN FLOP (grow a huge tail fin and slam it down on the enemy). That kind of thing.)
- Any special types of skills you have (swordsman that uses katana, able to glide with wings, map making, cooking, etc)

If you want to draw your or someone else's character, feel free. If you want to expand on your character a bit, feel free.

This will be an RP game of mafia where you will stay in character if possible. That said, the goal will be to find the mafia.

Streaming or Dreaming. [Liberty's Streaming and LP thread]

Yeah, so people have been telling me to make this thread. I'm sick atm and feel hung over (not because I am, but that's how my cold/fever/whatever this is is making me feel like) so I figured, why not now? Best time for it! :DDD

For those who don't know, I stream games fairly often and do LPs of games. This initial post will be me keeping a track of the current list of games I'm playing, how (on or off stream) and when.

If you want to suggest a game at some point, ask and I'll be happy to consider it. Do note that I don't do as many RM-based games as I used to, though I still do some streams and the like on them.

Livestream link:

Current Streams
Sundays :: 12am AEST :: 12pm GMT :: 9am CST :: Rune Factory 3/Stardew Valley
(Usually a few days of Rune Factory 3, then 5 days of Stardew Valley, though can go up to double that if the mood hits me. Usually a shorter stream at about 3-4 hours.)

Wednesdays :: 12am AEST :: 12pm GMT :: 9am CST :: Little Lily Princess/Pub Encounter
(Can go for anywhere between 3-6 hours. Sometimes I'll sub Pub Encounter out for some other random game instead.)

Fridays :: 10pm AEST :: 10am GMT :: 7am CST :: 50 Hour Challenge Game Make Stream
(Make a game in 50 hours, whilst on stream. Just over half way through. Runs for 5 hours.)

Saturdays :: 10pm AEST :: 10am GMT :: 7am CST :: This is the Police
(I want to get this over and done with since it's a longer game than I first thought.
Longer stream that can go from 4-7 hours. Mostly for games that are likely to be shorter in scope than my other games, or one-offs. The survival games can be changed with other games instead.)

Current Let's Plays (in order of preference)
- Enderal
- Fake Happy End
- RMN Plays Darkest Dungeon
- Anarcute
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
- Slime Rancher
- Cat's Chance in Rust
- Fallout 4
- Keymailer One-offs (series of one-off plays of games gotten through Keymailer)

Future Games
- Alice Mere
- Demetrios (K)
- various Steam freebie games
- random RMN games that catch my fancy
- This is the Police

If you're wanting to catch the streams, I usually give a heads-up on statuses here or on my twitter (@silversatyr).

Even if you miss the streams, you can find them on my youtube channel a day or so after they're done. (If they take longer it's usually due to copyright stuff having to be sorted out.)

Currently I'm off sick from streams, but I anticipate I'll be back this Wednesday.

To the edge of the galaxy: RimWorld

Hey, I know it's an older game but it's just come out on Steam and had an update so let's talk about it!

Dwarf Fortress crossed with Prison Architect, RimWorld is a game where you control a group of people (or just one) and brave the Worlds at the Rim of the galaxy. Maybe your group is a tribe that is building itself back from the ashes of destruction, maybe it consists of three crashlanded space dwellers, perhaps you're a rich explorer - either way you must build a base whilst dealing with random events and the various interactions between your characters.

It's a high-variable kind of base building game where you'll be raided, have mental breaks, find love form and dissolve between your group and gain and lose allies. Live or die? That's up to what you do and how random chance decides to fuck you over.

An example of what you might run into:

My tribe of five ran away from the ashes of their old home, deciding to build a new life on a small island. There they found ample food, good soil and a fair amount of resources and begun to build. The tribe leader, Val, soon struck up a close friendship with Frog, the hunter, and the two started sharing a bedroom (though not a bed) quite often, despite Frog's preference for being alone.

One night Frog went out to hunt and didn't come back, killed by the creature he was hunting (a squirrel gone made with bloodlust, ffs). Val dragged his body back to the base, dug a grave by himself and buried his friend, then went mad with grief and started to burn the whole village down.

Everyone was too busy trying to fight the fires to stop him and he continued to set fires until all bar one of the animals and other members of the tribe had burned to death. The last time we saw Val he was standing in the middle of a ring of fire, himself in flames.

The sole survivor, Moose, is currently badly wounded and resigned to dying, her mind in a daze and unable to do anything after having her home burn down three times in her life (she was initially a child from a destroyed village who found a new home in the previous village and now has lost her village a third time).

So, how about sharing your experiences with this crazy but awesome game?

Resource Downloads

So someone brought to my attention something that never twigged to me when I uploaded resources to the site, but is pretty important.

Adding a download to a resource is only available after it's already been submitted - you have to edit the resource in order to add a download file to it and that's a little weird considering some resources you definitely want to have uploaded (music or large packs of graphics, for example).

There's no option to add a download from the offset. Now I do realise that it says that you can add more files to the resource after submitting, but it seems a little silly to force you to submit before doing so, right?

I mean, unless it's something we can't actually add to the default page for some reason - in which case, maybe if we made that line in the description a bit bigger or added just before the submit button or something so it can be seen easier, it might alleviate the issue, but I think there's a fair few people out there who only added links to the body of their resources because they missed the line about uploading completely.

Anything we can do about that?

Delve into the Dungeon: RMN Plays!

Darkest Dungeon is an interesting little game that can be frustrating, painful but a lot of fun to play. You make your heroes and then go dungeon diving, hoping against hope that they don't develop bad habits and keep alive.

Just the kind of game where RMNers would make a good crew to jump in.

The Story:
The year is 2007. WIP has revisited the site, with the desire to rebuild it to be more functional only to find that the site code has been overrun by errors and bugs.

WIP and ankylo join forces to delve into the darkness, trying to salvage what they can of the old site in order to create it anew. They quickly realise that they'll need more than just the two of them to beat back the horrors and make the site usable once more.

Enter you lot.

How this will play:
- Pick one of the hero classes to represent yourself.
- Try to choose from the currently available pool of heroes, but if there's a particular one you're gunning for, let me know and I'll put it aside for you.
- It'll be first come, first served, so whoever calls x or y first will get their choice before someone else. Don't worry, there's going to be more than just one of each class available.
- If your hero dies, you can choose another, but you'll be given secondary choice only after first-time pickers choose.

To choose a hero, tell me the default name shown and class. Then let me know what you want it renamed to and if you want a particular kind of colour scheme for them (it's limited but I'll try. If you say something like "Dark and edgy" I'll pick the scheme that fits that best.)

First Episode:
Note that I added Marrend and LockeZ. Feel free to ask for someone else guys. Your names were the first to pop into my head at the time.
If someone wants to take over those characters (assuming Marrend and LockeZ don't want them), let me know.

The Abomination is a powerful and versatile shapeshifting fighter. He can cause blight and stun (while also dealing non-negligible damage) from the second or third ranks and heal his own stress and health in human form. But what makes this hero class very special is that he can also transform into beast form to deal a good amount of damage from the front ranks.

The Antiquarian is by no means a fighter, possessing with the worst base stats in the game. Despite the lack of damage, she is not a particularly powerful support either. She's a bit of an odd duck, really, but she has some tricks up her sleeve.

The Arbalest carries a heavy crossbow with which she is able to snipe high priority targets from afar. As a downside, she is only really effective from the 3rd and 4th ranks. The Arbalest is an exceptionally effective hero for dealing high damage from the back ranks.

Bounty Hunter
The Bounty Hunter can be your crowd control guy or damage dealer. His job is to wreak havoc on your enemies' formation and is able to deal a good amount of single-target damage under proper conditions. He is a great support character who can serve on all fronts, due to the versatility of his skills that he can use no matter where he is placed in the party formation. As he wears only light armor, he isn't a class meant for tanking. He also lacks any area-of-effect skills, which is unusual for high-damage classes.

One of the first characters you get in-game, the crusader is one of the game's tank classes. Designed for the basic task of both taking hits and dealing high damage to the enemy. He is a front line combatant with minor support skills that can come in handy, but not be relied on. While he may lack range, he more than makes up for it with his sturdiness, utility, and accurate, strong strikes.

Grave Robber
Grave Robbers have an odd niche in the available class roster due to her versatility. Her mix of melee and range skills enable her to be a part of any line-up, and ensure that she has at least one available skill no matter where she is placed position-wise. While she doesn't deal as much damage as others, she makes up for it by being independent with access to a variety of self-buffs and high precision strikes. She can toss daggers and poison darts into the back-line, increasing her accuracy to ensure successive hits to evasive enemies.

The Hellion is a front-line class with a good balance of damage and durability with a versatile set of abilities for maiming enemies wherever they are positioned and for sustaining herself, although they are not without costs. Her versatility is only matched by her ferocity. Her skills do give debuffs after use, though they are quite strong.

The Highwayman is an offensive class that can dish out damage from any position. Wherever the foe might force him to move or however many there are, he can cause them misery, and often in exactly the flavor you happen to need.

Hound Master
the Hound Master brings forth a variety of skills that can be used to support allies and wound enemies. His two main attacks, Hound's Rush and Hound's Harry, both inflict bleed. The Hound Master also has a variety of support abilities.

The Jester is a mix of support abilities and damage abilities. He can be difficult to use, having a variety of strict positional requirements for his abilities. But he also has the most self-moving skills, allowing him to change what abilities are available. When properly used, he can be both a devastating damage dealer and a powerful support character.

An incredibly heavy damage taker and giver, the Leper is an initially awkward but potentially game-winning character. The Leper is capable of delivering a brutal amount of damage while withstanding whatever is thrown at him, but is held back by his low accuracy and is only effective on and against the front two ranks. He has both the highest base damage and the highest base health of any hero.

Man at Arms
The Man-at-Arms is a front-line defensive class with a focus on survivability. He can attack with a good range and moderate damage, but really shines with his support skills. The Man-at-Arms is also flexible in terms of position and can perform well anywhere.

The Occultist is a support class who specializes in using powerful debuff spells on the enemy while healing allies. He has low health, deals low damage, and occasionally his powers may backfire, but when his Eldritch curses work, they work well. Worth noting is that although the Occultist has a low attack and most of his attacks have damage penalties on top, they do all have a high critical chance.

Plague Doctor
The Plague Doctor is a powerful support class specialized in blight damage and dealing with the enemy's own damage over time effects. She has a lot of decent spells at her disposal, and some healing and buffs which can prove very effective at keeping your party alive in the dungeons.

The most effective healing class, the Vestal is a versatile and initially crucial support character. She is not helpless if dragged to the front, but her specialty is hanging back and aiding her team with heals and spells. Although her utility may seem to fall off in the more difficult dungeons, she nevertheless is the most effective healer available.
