2) the feeling I would be seen as arrogant or conceited by doing so. The "if my game is really good, it should speak for itself, trying to speak for it would be arrogant" mindset, so to speak.
This echoes my feelings as well. I've tried my best not to beg for votes or shove it in peoples faces. The only Misao I'm actively hoping for is Summoner of Sounds since my game has a fully original soundtrack created by a friend of mine - I'd love to tell him other people loved his work as much as I do!
I've been so lucky this year though, having people like LordBlueRouge and Darken creating topics like this and mentioning the game on Discord. Quite a few people have fought my corner the past few months, and I'm really grateful for it.
It's a lot of effort to create a topic like this, and to keep drumming up interest. There's a lot of good contenders this year. I'd like to say a big thanks to all that have contributed to this topic, and good luck to those eligible. Great work!

So I've now cast about 3/4 of my Misao nominations. Slowly getting there, but struggling to fill it all in now.
It looks like you can't actually vote for I Want to Bring Her Back to Life but I Don't Know Where to Start. That's a shame. It was completed right at the end of last year, so it was completely overlooked - you can however vote for Country of Snow (I assume a spiritual successor) by the same developer.
Right this great injustice and give Country of Snow a download.

Yeah, that's about what I was expecting...
Even though it's not my game, I think I'd like to say a huge thank you and well done halibabica!
You started playing this on the 5th of March, that's over 8 months you spent on this game. The amount of time, effort and dedication you put into this review is staggering! This topic is full of constant updates, constructive criticism, bug fixes and suggestions which in itself could easily be considered a review for the game - let alone the actual formal typed review!
Yes, a 2 star review isn't what anyone wants to have, but I don't want people to just focus on that low score or undermine the huge effort you put in. Brilliant stuff.
What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
I am also playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and when I say "playing" I mean I am displaying unhealthy obsessive behaviour.
I also started Black Eagles, but I feel like Hubert is going to stab me in the back (literally). I made Edelgard my tank which is hilarious to me as you can't even see her face behind her gigantic shield.
Caspar is a Brawler and believe me when I say I have zero regrets.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
Bought Tales of Berseria when it came out, and never really put much time into it so I'm trying again! I can't remember playing a game I both love and hate in equal measure.
The cast of characters is just so good. They're all fun to play in battle too. Rokurou's story is a little too similar to Velvet's, and his impact on the story is almost non-existent so far. Laphicet is at times annoying, but otherwise the cast have great chemistry with each other. It's easy to understand their motivations, and they're a breath of fresh air compared to the last couple of games.
All Tales are a bit bad for backtracking, but holy fuck Berseria actually enjoys wasting your time. If I have to take time out of the plot, go all the way back to Titania, then walk to Velvet's prison cell, watch a ten second cutscene and then walk all the way back again I'm going to give up. The Geoboard is weird and useless in most locations and is not a good enough fix for poor pace.
On the surface, the battle system seems stripped down, but actually it's pretty deep. Knowing when to use your Soul Gauge and Burst Souls is fun. You can setup and perform cool combos really easily, and you're actively encouraged to switch around your party. Party member AI is some of the best I've ever seen in an RPG. I am yet to revive a mage because they position themselves and exploit enemy weaknesses so well.
Absolutely forgettable soundtrack. Constantly reuses the same tracks in each dungeon (which are visually boring). It's barely serviceable. I've just been playing the game for the past 5 hours and I can't even hum the battle theme. Velvet's Theme is decent I guess, but the best song in the game (Zavied's Theme) is recycled from Zestira.
Also, why does Kamoana get so much screen time and dialogue? Her voice actress sounds like she's got a dick in her throat.

I don't know if I can think of a time where that game wasn't Buzzing. People really fucking love that game, don't they?
[RM2K3] I need a plugin (or something) that will stop "shift" from autocompleting the printing of dialogue messages
This only happens during test play in the editor. When someone plays the game directly from the game folder, holding shift doesn’t do a thing to the text. Doesn’t fix the issue, but it is something to bear in mind.

Thanks so much for all these suggestions! Of course I'd love to be featured, but I'm happy to step away from the spotlight. There's loads of games (not just OFF) that have been around far longer. My game has been out less than a month, it doesn't seem fair that I get to cut in the queue.
It's nice to know that I may get my game featured at some point. I'll just wait for whenever that day may be.

[RM2K3] Revive Spell question
I'm in the same boat as Boulon. I had no idea this was possible. I usually clear our the entire database when I start a new project, so I never even looked at how the default skills were set up.
I always assumed the HP box would have to be ticked, otherwise it wouldn't work. Finally, I can have the revive skills I've always wanted! Thanks for this. It's the simple things haha.
