LITTLE WING GUY'S PROFILE

I may have little wings, but I have a big dick heart.

Hey there. I've been into game making since about 2008, but it wasn't until 2014 I was able to complete my first ever game! The game was started and finished in a single week for a contest. In one week I was able to do what I struggled with for 6 years. 6 WHOLE YEARS. HILARIOUS ISN'T IT.

help pls. In spite of trying all the combinations cannot solve Lahan forest puzzle.

I put traveler to the north cicikian to the east warrior to the south and druid to the south

thanks

The correct order is as follows:

Traveller is north
Civilian is east
Warrior is west
Druid is south

You've got them all right apart from the Warrior.

Remember, there are four statues right at the start of the forest. You literally copy them exactly. As a helpful hint, If any of those four statues at the start are translucent, that's the game telling you they are not correct yet. The ones that look solid, are correct and you don't need to turn them any further.

If you get stuck, go back to the beginning and keep turning the translucent ones. Once all look solid - continue on in the forest.

Country of Snow

It's disgusting how overlooked this game is (and I can't really talk as I've only just heard of it).

My easiest Misao nomination so far. I will be spreading the word, and letting you know what I think (once I'm longer than 10 minutes in).

No, thank you for playing! It means the world to me.

One last thing: I loved the Chrono Trigger-esque side quest, wished there was a little more... explained about the Lore? Though I get that you've kept it vague since that's not really the focus, and I liked it anyway

I have a deep dark confession to make - I have never played Chrono Trigger! I know, shame on me. Any likeness is entirely coincidental, I promise you.

That whole sidequest was the very last thing I put into the game, and originally in the planning stage didn't exist at all. I'd say it's a good mix of deliberate vagueness and also just wanting to release the game haha. I knew I wanted to have an optional dungeon but I didn't want it to be entirely disconnected from the story either.

Although...

I nearly did a quest where you put Kassie's spirit to rest instead, but decided that Zach already had enough character development, and I sort of liked that fact that his previous actions had a consequence he couldn't fix.

I like how the dialogue flowed very well. And the characters had nice interactions, and had good character development. Emilia could have used some more focus in that, but what was given was nice. Art and gameplay was good, too.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. In some ways, making Emilia a mute was the best decision I made because otherwise my cut scenes would have gone on for even longer (if you can even believe that's possible). It did make character development for her tricky, especially as she joins in the latter portion of the game, but what can you do!

Also...

I'm afraid this is no answer to your question. To me, the fact that we never find out her name solidifies her tragic circumstances. Besides, Lukas and his family are entitled to some final peace and privacy!

Finding the 9th (Last) treasure in Casanero is driving me crazy. I feel like I've looked everywhere...

Hey there, thanks so much for playing my game!

I'd say the hardest chest to find is the one in the Item Store:

If it's not that one, and you're still struggling let me know and we can go through them all. As a handy tip, every building in Casanero has a treasure chest (apart from the Church) and there's also one on the beach too.

Not even Final Fantasy VII Remake took this much to make, what happened with this project?!

Exactly. How the fuck can a team of paid dedicated game developers with years of experience be more productive than a single person with a hobby? Impossible. Makes me physically sick to my stomach. GIVE UP YOU FRAUD.

I finally beat the game! It's unpolished but a game full of heart and work put into it. I had a delightful time with it.

Thanks very much! I must admit, I am curious what parts you thought were unpolished? I know I can't eliminate everything, but I did my best to make it as polished as I could. Were there any bugs/spelling issues? I only ask so I can address anything specific for future releases.

I do have a bit of a gripe with the gameplay though. I understand that you were going for a more simplistic experience and that doesn't bother me but the overflow mechanic was almost entirely unused during my entire playthrough. Most of the overflow abilities are pretty situational and there is nothing there that items can't do. Honestly you could get rid of the mechanic entirely and nothing would be lost.

What a lovely comment, thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to reach out to me. I have to agree, Overflow did not reach it's full potential. I wanted to try and do a spin on Limit Breaks I hadn't seen before, but I also didn't want a "annihilate all enemies" button. Since Overflow only builds when the player uses abilities, it's supposed to promote the use of them instead spamming attack - but it didn't work in practice like I wanted.

I still think it has it's place in the game (at least enough for me to not go back and remove it) as Lukas and Reyson have pretty useful Overflows, but the rest of the cast ... Not so much haha. It won't be an idea I'll use again, so thanks for the honest feedback!

How does overflow work? I can't seem to use the overflow abilities...

Hey, thanks for giving the game a try. There’s two requirements before you can use an Overflow ability. Firstly you need to actually equip the chosen characters Overflow ability on the Ablity Board (each one costs 5AP). Secondly you need to fill up the meter in battle by casting any four spells.

Once you’ve met those requirements, scroll down on the actual command menu past “Items” and so on, Overflow is its own menu choice - Overflow abilities are not in the regular skill menu.

I should mention that you need to wait until it’s unlocked as part of the story as well (towards the end of the second dungeon).

Maxed out in the second dungeon!

The best part about this is that the second dungeon has only a few human enemies that don't ever respawn. It's more likely he maxed out in the first dungeon!

https://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/785/stumbled on this, good ol times

16 year old Little Wing Guy is pure cringe. It's kind of cool to look back at this to see all the remnants of the old game and what remained versus what didn't. Names have changed, and some unnecessarily stupid plot points (A GIANT METEOR LIKE SPLIT VILLNOIRE CONVENIENTLY IN TWO OKAY) have been removed but the core concept and focus on characters is actually the same.

For anyone interested, here's a (hopefully) complete list of treasures that can be found in the game.

This is kind of amazing, thank you so much! I can only admire such a huge dedication to my game (should be expected from someone who level capped in practically the first dungeon). I never thought anyone would be interested in writing a guide or delving so deep into the game. With your permission I will probably add this as a tab on the game page for any completionists out there. I have no problem with things like this being spoiled, it's more story stuff I want to keep under wraps.

Looks like someone should write a Walkthrough, like how Firefly84 did one for Lakria Legends :D

I would never ever put anyone off writing a proper walkthrough (in fact I would love it) however I do have to agree with KyleLascar. The game is fairly linear and the objectives that pop up mostly act as the games internal walkthrough. I'd say that dungeons in Villnoire all have gimmicks rather than actual puzzles. It's something to keep the A to B feeling fresh. You could argue that the final dungeon does have a full blown puzzle, but I don't think it's anything too taxing.

That being said, I am now on my fifth PM (and counting) of someone completely stuck in Lahan Forest and needing help. Who knew that statue turning was going to be this games peak of difficulty!

Villnoire

I'm currently playing and enjoying the game, but the level 20 cap is a crackpot idea. Yeah, I know, balancing reasons etc., but it's still way too low considering my playstyle.

Villnoire is somewhat of a more casual RPG experience, it's very streamlined and the difficulty is certainly low. It's probably a bit easier than I intended it to be, but I did struggle to find a good balance. I suppose I'd rather it be too easy, than too hard!

If I'm honest, I never ever in my wildest dreams anticipated a player reaching the level cap that early. At level 20, you will utterly obliterate every enemy that even dares look in your direction for probably the rest of the game. I can only apologise that it doesn't deliver what you wanted. I hope you still manage to find some enjoyment. I'll be the first person to admit I made some missteps in the game play department. If I ever make another game, I have a clearer idea of what people expect from me now.

Thanks for giving the game a go!
