Wow, this sounds really interesting! I've actually had a similar idea for one of my games where you play as a broken robot that can't display colors correctly (it basically starts out with GB graphics).

It really depends on who you're referring to. Elitist game devs and programmers will usually not show much interest in your game(s) unless you've created your own engine from scratch. The average gamer/consumer will most likely not judge your game based on the engine/framework that you used. Who are you making games for? The former or the latter?
