Why tumblr, specifically?
I'm unable to edit my password ATM. I'm pretty sure it was just a technical error on RMN's part and/or Nemera playing tricks with me.

My Tumblr account got hacked. I didn't realize it for two years because I don't use it. I went on and saw someone was using my Tumblr account to upload his photos of women modeling wedding dresses. No shit. He never changed my account recovery settings, though, so I just said I forgot my password and now I have all of his shit that he put on Tumblr.
EDIT: Seriously, what the hell do I file that under, anyway? Smart enough to hack the most inconsequential site imaginable, but too dumb to secure it.

That is... not the usual stuff I associate with hackjobs on tumblr.

I think it's less dumb and more effort vs payoff; my impression is that these hacks are high-volume, so it's much easier to just grab and go.
