Just in case you're curious! We know the shell thing is due to lack of a tutorial, the reason is we have a video tutorial that will go in game since the system is complex!
I would recommend teaching the game as you go along. Making the player do it instead of showing a video. The last game that I played that used a video tutorial for their mechanics wasn't that successful at teaching it. However, that's just my recommendation. I'm a huge fan of the learning-by-doing approach.

Our system is quite complex, so maybe it would still be best, but at least some dialogue saying the SP from battles is used to go to "Shell Growth" and learn skills.

You never realized that you could go into the menu, go to "Anamnesis" where you equipped shells and go to "Shell Growth" each Shell has its whole unique skill tree!~
It's how you grow stats.

Also you missed two hidden voiced scenes, one is done by examining the clock on the wall outside twice, another is in the second floor of a building!

EDIT: The Shells (addons) actually are skill learning mechanisms, and stats too, they have whoooole unique skill webs, go to the equip screen for them, then pick the second option "Shell Growth" ~

But of course, all your story questions, of course are answered in the whole 700+ page script, we explain that the perspectives of the game jump through time in the synopsis, a lot of the stuff is explained further in the "Encycle-pedia" which is on purpose by the way, but not for what you suggested (it'll be known in the next demos)

But of course, this demo was just a prologue of three total, nothing more than a tease! Lots of initial feedback is being sucked up from it, you being a big help in that!

Guun, intro is so tedious and light-hearted what even annoying with it's tension, because you are waiting fro something to happen, but daily stuff is still going.
But voice overs are badass, they smooths that long intro.

Yes, the prologue Episode lacks all the features!
The first full episode is finished, we're looking into distribution methods now.

As Liberty said, our discussion ends Lato.
But to clear something up for the public, we let our members know when they're let go, very clearly. We have let many members go and directly communicate that to them.
We run new members through test tasks to make sure they are able to fit our needs, which we also say right away!

Just to make a statement about how we operate since it was questioned.

What we have for download is the Prologue Episode, the main episodes are around 5-6 hours in length and have a lot more content and features.

Lato, you were let go. Your spriting ability could not come close to doing what we needed. You can't warn someone on being let go, you didn't do close to enough to warrant pay, you minorily edited a few sprites.

Since you wanted to post openly, I will as well. I highly suggest no one hires Lato for sprite work, he lacks good ability to follow directions and does not have good team attitude.

Being the director, in every way besides for graphics I vowed to make a game matching and exceeding the standards these days, and if you believe you can do something, and accept the steps needed, then take them, you will do anything you put your mind to.

I wrote the first draft to this script 6 years ago, I never gave up and I'm glad I didn't. The fact that the engine automates some of the processes there was no reason for me to not go all out and create a content heavy game with thought put into it.

Divided Infinity is inspired off of the Xeno series, Wild Arms, and the EASS was envisioned from Grandia's Egg System.

Just for any curious cats out there.

I played through the demo. It's interesting, and I love the art, but there were a lot of bugs. I'll put my comments under a hide-tag here.

>Click here for screenshot< You may want to consider switching the button that skips text. Right now, it's the same as the Dash button. I missed the message that displays here the first time, (the one, ironically, about Dashing and jumping) because I was holding down the dash button.

>Click here for screenshot< When I tried to look at the Story section of the encyclopedia, the game crashed with this error message.

>Click here for screenshot< In battle, when I tried to use the submachinegun skill, the game crashed. Oddly, on a second playthrough, it didn't crash.

Bugs aside, it wasn't too bad, and I really liked the ending scene, which was very well put together. It may have been a little too mysterious for its own good, though, as since I know so little about what's going on, I'm not quite hooked on the plot.

Sadly we're too busy going forward in creation not a lot of time to play test yet, which is why this is good!


Prologue II is more about something happening rather than you understanding anything. (It actually is the end of a certain Shell Story, upon doing that shell story, you replay Prologue II with more understanding) Since the story is so vast, we gave it three Prologues to introduce each era/more info. I will consider making putting more information into Prologue II. Just make sure you saw those three miss-able scenes in the city!

Well, it all looks great, and it's good to hear you're editing things out, because there are plenty of people who don't, and pacing suffers greatly as a result. One could end up like Song of Ice and Fire, or even worse, like Tears to Tiara II.
Yes, you need to be able to limit you're imagination.
Even if something happens in a story, like an event -- does it need to be played out?
or only mentioned? That's the key to a good flowing story. If the events don't flow naturally without much forced thinking, then something is wrong.

Ohhh, how I wish I could share more of the story, but for now, you guys just get that Demo.
