Part of me wants to jump at this and work on sprites and tiles.. the issue is me and my crap that's wrong with me.
Hard to keep motivated with my bipolar depression.
I'm bad about jumping at something full swing.. only to slowly fall apart over time until I can't get myself to work on stuff anymore..

Your thoughts?

You're not joking are you?
I still want an emulated enhanced version as you started making.
I been using RPG Maker MV, and my games are pixelated.
It's a huge pain in the butt to get that look.
I would love an enhanced version of RPG Maker 2003.
Something that allows us more freedom with graphics.
Higher color count.
More control over menus.
I could go on and on.
I have a huge interest in an enhanced version.

Your thoughts?

I always loved 2003 but i always found the limit in colors you can use in a single image to be annoying.
I found lack of customization very annoying as well.
But i do prefer the 16x16 tiles and more..
If anyone had made a new version 2003, i would like seeing little things like that changed.. well not really little.. but.. those things specifically.
I hate how new RPG Makers force you to use a higher image resolution and a tile size of like 48x48 in MV for example, it makes creating custom graphics VERY time consuming, when really all i want is that old school pixel art charm..

Battle Next

Ah okay, makes sense.

Battle Next

What if i don't want it to be active time?
What if i want it to be turn based?
Can it be easily edited to just make turn based?

EXP Table

What bugs me about the RPG Maker series is that you can not specifically tell each level to require a specific amount of EXP.
It's always done with some sort of "table" and a Slider.

This Insane World We All Live In

When it comes to Linux, a lot would switch over if it had everything one would need.
In fact, the lack of a proper RPG Maker for Linux is the only thing holding me back from using Linux 24/7.
Linux has improved a LOT as of late, and is on par with today's Windows OS's, but unlike the latest Windows and all this touch screen what not..the GUI and DeskTop pretty much works like WinXP, of course that's easy to change as Linux Distros can have any sort of desktop environment you could want.
The one thing that's held back Linux for so long is support.. pure and simple.
People shrug it off a lot.
My local bank switched from Windows to Linux recently because the support for WinXP on their systems could no longer be continued.
A lot of people just rather not leave WinXP.. and there are quite a few Linux Distros that can easily replace it.

Script Editor

It's the same issues i was telling you about before i lost internet and went missing.
Doing the SAME things.. why go into details again when it's the SAME things it was doing last time i told you?
Do i gotta take a screen shot and show you again?
Ugh.. i give up man.. i just did an update to everything on my computer.
Windows.. drivers.. you name it.. and it's still doing that same crap.
Anyhow.. i don't care anymore.. i WAS looking forward to this.. but there is no point in looking forward to something that won't run on my computer.
I will stick with enterbrain's software i suppose.
That.. or suck it up and learn to program..
And sorry for.. exploding..
I'm just at my wits end.
I test a game... it crashes.

Script Editor

RPG Maker 2003 did not have a scripting system in place, it had an eventing system in place.
And you mentioned never putting a scripting system in your engine.
So which is this, an eventing system or a scripting system?
Now that i look at it closer, it looks more like an eventing system of sorts..
BTW, tried the latest version.
Remember how it would crash on me the last time i tested it?
It's still crashing on me, still giving me the same errors.
Maybe it's windows 7...*shrugs*

Script Editor

Nice to see you still working on this.
And i never thought you would add any kind of scripting.
I been without net, that's why i vanished..
Can't wait to see more.
