Damn it, I am NOT a useless pile of trash! I make games! Even if only a handful of a handful of people know about them, or play them, so long as I bring at least a little happiness into this world.

If your game so happens to be a sleeper hit, God knows that TvTropes is behind it.
If someone said that to you, just know that they are completely wrong. If you're thinking that of yourself, just know that that thought is completely wrong too. You have a bunch of games you've made and a lot of great ideas you want to make. Keep at it, even if you never see big stardom, you've probably touched someone with your stories in a positive way. I'm sure of it!
Did someone call you that!? That's not cool at all!
You've made tons of fun games and have been a major part of the community for years. You are not trash, far from it.

You're doing just fine, Marrend. Don't let any naysayer take you down. If you're proud of what you've accomplished and enjoy what you do, then nothing, NOTHING, can touch you.

The best thing to do in these kinds of situations is to just ignore the troll and move on. Fictional nonsense like that should not get to you.

Chances are, whoever said this to you is secretly jealous of the things you can do or accomplish. Because they haven't.
Yeah, thinking oneself is useless is not a happy thought to have.

I've seen your posts of 'I'm useless'. I've been on that road, and it sometimes leads to 'Nothing I do matters', and maybe-eventually, 'I don't matter'. It's not a happy road to be on, and it just HURTS. I don't know what you're capable of, and maybe you don't know either. How CAN you know, unless you at least try first?

Criticism is, for some reason, way easier to latch onto than praise. A creator can get a hundred positive comments, but a single comment saying that they suck seems to stick out just as prominently in their mind. At the end of the day, your willingness and love of your craft is what will keep you going, because no one but you can deliver the Marrend brand of games. Whether people like them or not is subjective, but the call of you being "a useless pile of trash" isn't theirs to make, and anyone who claims otherwise isn't worth listening to.
Just... don't form an opinion of yourself based solely on what others think. If people did that, I can say with 99.99% certainty that there would not be a single happy person left on this entire earth.

It's amazing how cruel we can let ourselves be to, uh, ourselves. Like, if someone else talked to me like I talk to myself sometimes I'd be getting in a fight. >.<
NO! You make awesome games! You made Myriad Cypher!
"That's extraordinary! You know, in over 900 years of space and time, I've never met someone that wasn't important."

Everyone said it, but I love adding to the pile and having something nice to repeat so~
You are a wonderful, creative and productive person.
You are enough, and you are worth it.
There. That's the thought your brain actually would like to be repeating. And if there's something else, then it's my thoughts I am giving you~
Count me in on the hugs, alright?

Screenshot/bookmark, mang. And/or print that shit and put it on the wall to look at next time your brain is being an asshole.
Please refrain from stealing my line thanks.
I want hug from Marrend the incredibly productive person who churns out a game faster than most people and has a cute personality and I personally worked with and thus know has a good work ethic plus more importantly is generally kind and considerate and lovable person.
It's great that you have made cool games for other people to enjoy, but you are worth so much more than just the fun factor of your projects. You're a unique person with their own thoughs, ideas and feelings. The fact that you exist alone is incredibly important to lots of people close to you. And you always try to be helpful and open towards anyone you encounter here.
Don't feel like you have to define your own value as a human through your game creations alone. You are important, and in many, many different ways.
In short:
P.S.: Sooz, can I have your autograph, please?

You're a good man, Marrend. One of the coolest people I've met on here and plus you love Heroes and Might & Magic probably more than me!
