[ RGSS3] [ACE] Galv's CFX; Player light source

I just need some guidance from someone that knows a decent amount of coding knowledge and can answer me since I mostly work alone with no coders and also since google has failed me for the last three hours. It's about the shadow/light source part of Galv’s Character Effects V.2.1 http://galvs-scripts.com/galvs-character-effects/.

Can anyone with a modest knowledge of RGSS3 let me know if the light source part of the script can be applied to the Player/actor/character as well as/instead of the events? So that it is the player/actor/character that casts shadows?

I apologize if this isnt the right place for this thread. I felt this was more support for an existing script than a request for a new one.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Answer:

Use a parallel process that contains a script call:

 $game_map.light_source[0] =
[$game_player.real_x, $game_player.real_y]]

Hello.

Real names rarely matter in the internet, but if you want to know it then just google me up. I go by methera, Makorami, HTML, and Kijuki. I am a 23 y/o graphic artist/designer with a passion for game development. I been at it since 2003, mostly helping with people with resources based on the rpg maker platforms. I started off by making a team of video game sprite/audio rippers, common artists and midi composers in Charas-Project back in '03. After that I have mostly been in the resources background making things from random characters sprite sets, character designs, titles, logos, and game over screens. Although I've had planned various games occurring that time, I never finished one. Now adays I am currently developing two serious projects; one being currently worked on, and the other still on planning stages but basically on hold til the first one is finished. I am still doing random resources, my latest ones being Final Fantasy 13 related sets (despite me hating the FF entries after the sixth iteration), which I've already seen in a few projects here and there.

But anyway, I am into other stuff as well. Anime, video games, internet, comedy, designing, reviewing is all part of my likes. I am an easy to get along person, but I can get edgy around other edgy people. I enjoy some good game talks be it development or just gaming in general. I do network on social sites, but never been much of a blogger. I've always been more of a forum person.

So yeah, hi. I hate introducing myself cause I never get what to say.
