Crimson Sky Review

Whoa, what!? A review of Crimson Sky!? Wow, I did not expect that. lol

Thank you for the review! I doubt I'll ever pull this game back from the trenches, but your kind (and constructive) words are appreciated and certainly give good insight on how I can do better!

Yes, Tross was going to be a party member later on down the line. The story wasn't completely fleshed out, but something was going to happen to cause him to leave the Zervan empire (being framed as a traitor, or something like that) and join Haos' crew. Also, Bernard, Haos' subordinate who "joins" you in the intro sequence, is just an NPC along for the ride, which is why he never fights with you. He was eventually going to be a recurring character, which is why he was given a little more attention than other NPC's, but alas...

Anyway, thanks again for the review! I never expected anyone to play this, let alone write a review, 15 years later!

Resident Evil RPG: The Beginning of the End Review

Thanks for taking the time to submit a review! I feel it was very fair and I appreciate the effort.

And, yes, this was my very first ever completed RPG Maker game. It took a few months or so make, and it only takes the player about 45 minutes to complete if they know where to go without interruption.

Thanks again! =D

Short and concise should be the norm. =x

This I actually agree with. I'd say go look at my review as an example, but you'd probably assume I was some sort of uneducated dimwit considering I gave it 5 stars...

I don't use mathematical averages, so that's why I didn't use mathematical averages. This is how I review: based solely on my experience, how much fun I found the game, and how successful each aspect felt to me. It's all mental.

The bottom line: the simplistic, repetitive gameplay and the pretty easy difficulty mixed with a 45 minute length felt pretty damn perfect. Something that short doesn't need to be really deep. This game knows exactly what it's trying to accomplish.

Air RPG Review

Wow, you and I obviously had polar opposite opinions.

I guess the only reason I can see for that is possibly you expectations were much higher? I don't know. But I really didn't go in thinking of too many possibilities. Or maybe because it was an "experiment," the author was just trying out new things. Maybe the overall gameplay, items, and upgrades would be more fleshed out in a non-experimental version of this.

I found the overall short playtime mixed with the simple design of practically everything a perfect combination.

hint: I WAS BEING SARCASTIC.

Fuck It Review

I'm currently playing through the game. While I don't find it horrendous, I can understand why F-G gave it the score he did.

I personally am finding the dialogue, and just about anything Crost says, pretty funny.

Word! I'd say the dude who gave me such a sore score was on his period.

That is a terrible attitude to have. Every review, as long as it is constructive and not just saying "THIS GAME SUX IT IS HORRIBLE!!!1", is valid and deserves consideration. Sure, the game may be hit-or-miss with certain people, but it is possible to just make a bad game overall.

I'm downloading it now. Perhaps I'll write a review once I see this game for myself.

Kinetic Cipher (Again) Review

Having just recently gone back and played KC(A) yet again, this necropost is valid...

When I am avoiding every single battle because I can't stand the combat, something is wrong. As for what that "something" is, I am certainly open to discussion.

Isn't it possible that you were just more interested in exploring the current area rather than stopping to fight? I don't have a problem with the battles at all; like WIP said, the battle in KC(A) are MUCH better and MUCH more balanced than most other RM games, but every now and then I find myself avoiding enemies not because the battles are unbearable, but because I was just tired of battling--which isn't a problem stemming from the game, but from myself.

Carlsev Saga: Episode I Review

I'm a bit surprised the storyline score is so low...
