Super Street Fighter 4 gets a 3rd Strike

I know, it's awesome.

Dudley, Makoto, and Ibuki are coming to Super Street Fighter 4. Did anyone just jizz their pants? lol
Anyway, even though I don't have a 360 to play it on, I'm going to try and see if my friend will let me hang and play it at his place.

What are your thoughts on this revelation?

Who else here thinks Dark Ambient music is awesome?

You know, like some of the music in "The Longing Ribbon?"
Seriously. Here's some examples...
This music is powerful to me, I immediately think of things like death and survival horror games (like, the second song, "Frozen", reminds me of some Resident Evil and Fallout 1 and 2 music).

Anyway, does anyone else find this stuff powerful?

EDIT: I didn't listen to the third one all the way before I posted it...it creeps me out at about 2:30. O_O;

EDIT AGAIN: Also, if you want, post some more dark ambient music you guys/gals have found.

Mega Man 10: All 8 Robot Masters Revealed!

Here are all 8 robot masters.
Discuss...

Blade Man

Solar Man

Sheep Man

Chill Man

Commando Man

Nitro Man

Strike Man

Pump Man

In my opinion...
PUMP MAN LOOKS PRETTY RETARDED WITH THAT STUPID PUMP ON HIS HEAD...
...CHILL MAN IS...meh...
...BLADE MAN'S HEAD IS TOO THIN...
...AND NITRO MAN LOOKS JUST PLAIN RETARDED AS WELL.

So, in my opinion, Sheep Man, Commando Man, Solar Man, and Strike Man look the best.

sigh...I'm most disappointed by Blade Man. Cool concept, bad design. -_-"

MP3ify.com: now this is pretty nifty!

I found this website that can turn music from things like Youtube videos into actual MP3s that you can download. That's pretty badass if you ask me.

Check this out for sure.

NES version of "Left 4 Dead"

This guy on Youtube is singlehandedly (that's right, all by his lonesome) making an NES version of Valve's "Left 4 Dead."

I'm not sure how well-known this is to everyone, so I thought I'd share some gameplay videos with you that I found...

1 Player...

2 Player...

...So, yeah. He's making it with the idea in mind that this is how the game would have looked, sounded, and played if it were to be released during the golden days of the Nintendo Entertainment System. I'm pleased with what I've seen. =) He's also said that all five special zombies will be in the game...and, yeah, the witch is still one tough bitch. =P

I've also read somewhere that it's going to be finished and availaable for (free) download sometime in January.

Sonic: OMFG FINALLY SEGA GROWS A BRAIN!!!!

I need to say nothing else...

Another Writing Topic: Character Assumptions

I have another question...

Is it okay (or rather, is it a bad idea) to have a character openly assume (as in say something out loud or think it) something about another character, or just in general, and whole-heartedly believe it, even if it turns out later that they assumed incorrectly?

For example: one of my characters assumes that another has gone to a costume party, and continues to say things like, "it's weird that he'd bring that to a costume party." In actuality, he doesn't know if he'd really gone to said party or not...he's just assuming. Also, it turns out later that the 2nd character did not actually go to a costume party, and so the 1st character's assumption (and probably the reader's) is incorrect.

I pondered this because I thought it may mislead the reader, and I wasn't sure if that was okay or not.

Critique Request: ...Do I write good Fight Scenes?

Based on this excerpt from one of my stories, in your opinion, do I write good fight scenes?

The characters will be referred to as Character "A" and Character "B"; you can refer to them as such if you choose to address them.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"A" dashed forward, ready to strike. His entire body stiffened as he closed in on his fiendish opponent; this was it, the supposed final confrontation...

"B" tightened his grip on his weapon and slashed diagonally once "A" was in range. He was dangerously fast, so much so the he matched "A's" agility. Fortunately, "A" performed a somersault and evaded, countering with his kusarigama. "B" blocked "A's" strike; a deadlock occurred. It was as if reality was lagging. Both combatants seemed to see one another's actions in slow-motion, giving him the necessary time to deliberate his attacks. Of course, this was an illusion; "A's" training and "B's" demonic power assisted in their quick reaction time.

Both warriors strained and attempted to break the other's fortitude. Only a few more seconds elapsed, "A" retracted his blade and jumped into the air. On his descent, he slashed downward. "B" was able to guard against his attack. Before "A" had even made contact with the ground, "B" shoved him with his sword. "A" soared through the air and slide to a halt once gracing the wooden floor. "B" stylishly brandished his sword and clasped the handle with both hands in a diagonal position. Focusing his power once more, "B" formed a violet shade around his nodachi's blade. Lifting the sword into the sky, he swung down forcefully and a violet wave shot from it.

"A's" eyes bulged--what an astonishing attack! Though "A" was bewildered by "B's" outstanding display of strength, he didn't allow his concentration to falter. He rolled to the side and avoided the massive wave, which tore apart the wall behind him. "A" gave a fleet glance back to view the damage and then looked back at the evil tyrant. The heat of the flames below could be felt on the floor. Soon "B's" chamber would be enveloped in a raging inferno. Not only this, but "A" was sure that their brawl was greatly damaging the castle as well; mostly from "A's" energy-based attacks leaving ugly gashes on the walls. "A's" patience was now dying; he felt it was time to finish his mission if he were to escape with his life. He rushed ahead. A conceited scowl formed on "B's" face, one that signaled "A's" chivalrous attempts were futile. "A" leaped into the air once again, but this time, he was thrown backwards by an invisible kinetic blast from "B's" outstretched hand. "A" crashed onto the floor, dust bolted from beneath him. The stinging pain he felt in his back would surely produce struggle.

“I have grown bored of this, 'A'.” 'B' proclaimed, “I've had enough of your moronic attempts at claiming my life. You will never succeed, plain and simple..."

This is, obviously, an attempt at improving my writing, so constructive critiques are welcomed. =D

What is your all time favorite video game character

Video games are awesome, no doubt. For some, there are particular characters in games we like...maybe even a little too much...? >_>

For some, our favorite video games characters may be someone we can relate to, someone we find intriguing, or someone that we just have this unexplainable liking towards.

So I ask you guys...
...What is your all-time, hands down, favorite video game character and why?

I can answer this forthwith: my all-time favorite video game character (and there really is no contest in my case) is Koei's representation of "Mitsuhide Akechi".

Who didn't see that coming...really now? Anyway, I feel spiritually connected with this character: we both have this strong sense of justice and I even see a bit of my personality in him. Not to mention he's samurai-tastic (I love samurai-tastic characters...or should I say, I like the classic samurai-style characters...you know, the ones who ride into battle with nothing but a single katana).

So, how about you guys...?
