My Home Town Made National News!.. unfortunately.

Solar Panel Roads

This is quite possibly one of the best outlandish ideas that has come around in a long time. Just as the title describes, it's implementing solar panels as a replacement for asphalt roads.

•Provides enough Electricity to power the nation three times over if used to replace all asphalt roads. (approx 10 billion 12' x 12' panels at $6,900 each but if heavily invested in, roads would pay for itself)
•Ability to generate heat to melt ice and snow off the roads.
•Uses LED lights and pressure systems to alert drivers of obstructions further down the road such as deer, people in dark clothing, etc. Also used to make easily visible lines.
• Envisioned to use trash from land fills as a means of making the solar panels air-tight and well structured.

•Designing a glass cover that has the traction of asphalt, durability to hold a fully loaded 18 wheeler, able to let sunlight in without causing a glare on the drivers.
•Major cost
•Daunting task of removing the asphalt and replace them with solar panels.

This is in no way going to be implemented soon, but I think this idea is absolutely brilliant and well on it's way to having the nation behind this idea. Thoughts, comments?

I'm Building A Computer!

So, I think I have officially looked over all of the parts and I believe it will all work with each other. So if any of you more advanced tech savvy people could possibly check to see if I didn't miss anything vital that will keep my build from working? The reason I ask is because this is way more pricey than what I normally go for, so I would like a double checking.

Also to GRS: I looked for an i7 processor at your advice that was $200 and better than the AMD Phenom, but I did not find such a thing. Even the i5's were more expensive.

Also also, a topic for discussing your own towers!

The motherboard seems iffy to me, but unfortunately AMD and NVIDIA are apparently no longer friends. And with the RAM, would it be recommended for just going with the 1333 for the $100 less?

I wanna be the guy!

Possibly the hardest game I've ever played in my entire life. A platformer that will shatter your hopes, and even when you get past that one little part that was annoying the crap out of you, you will more than likely die right afterwards. It's so frustrating, but it's so addicting as well. It's always full of things you won't expect to kill you.

Note: Not for the easily frustrated!

Seriously, this is gettin' kinda crazy. All the sudden it's like we have bots flippin' everywhere. Is it possible that a bot is creating multiple users to write random crap? Possibly block the IP of the bot? How would this problem be fixed other than Karsuman using his trigger happy locking function?

Awesome list provided by Liberty

Monsters with Charasets?

Anybody have any monster graphics WITH a charset? Also, this is for RPG2k3.

Things YOU buy the most?

Well, I saw pantsman's topic about things people buy in general, but I want to know what you guys yourselves buy the most.

Mine would include
1) Gas
2) Mountain Dew
3) Videogames

My list would be a lot longer, but I live with my parents since I'm still 16, so I don't have to provide much for myself. :D

Anyways.. GO!
