Zero Suit Samus

I doubt that finger pointing at 'Men sexualize women all the time' and 'OMG women sexualize guys too' would solve anything.

I just really wonder if it's possible for a character to be scantily clad and not be considered a sex object.

Or will all characters be covered in layers and layers of clothing, not showing a single bit of skin, as feminism and sexual equality rage on, because everyone's focused on the finger pointing.

Or is equality keeping everybody equally scantily clad like Final Fantasy XIV lol

Bayonetta's a sexy character, dressed sexy, loses clothes during attacks, but I can't seem to see her as a sex object. I thought this would be the ideal path for anyone wanting to design a sexy character, by making her other traits stand out so much that she's 'sexy', not 'sex object'. I could be wrong?

Zero Suit Samus

How DO you have a sexy character without oversexualizing them or treating them like a sex object?

When we have people in real life who dress sexy, we respect their dress sense. Objectifying people is an asshole move.

But when it comes to video game characters? They aren't as diverse as people. Is it wrong for a character to dress sexy? Does the wrong really lie with the designers or the people who objectify the character? Are video game characters technically objects to begin with?

When certain female characters exist in a game just for them to fulfil a helpless damsel heroine and have humongous jubblies that jiggle with impossible breast physics, I get that that's obviously sexual objectification.
But with a character like Bayonetta and Samus, who kick ass alongside their attractive physique?
But where is the line drawn?

[Poll] Your favorite RPG Setting

I like fantasy genres, but I hate it when it's too traditional.
When some modern elements get mixed in, or when a modern setting plays out kind of fantasy-like, I find it a lot more fascinating.

I really just don't like dealing with piles of lore and city names with apostrophes in them.

Indie Game Making Competition Results are in!

It was a real shock when we found out we won anything at all, we were kind of resolved that it's been 2 months, probably not gonna win anything. We kept making jokes about Antagonist being the only thing in our portfolio and how probably we'd boast about it at any job opening XDD

It's still kind of unbelievable to see our game up there at 1st place. I've been RPG Making for awhile, but for the others, it was their first time making a complete game, and I'm glad it was this great an experience for them, cos' I'd really want to continue working with them for a long time.

Thanks for giving them this experience, guys, and thanks for all the support we got on the RMN page as well.
(kept checking the page every few hours and got pumped at every 10 more views or downloads or comment we got lol)

[RMVX ACE] ATB Battle System Scripts?

I've plenty of ideas that rely on a Active Turn Battle script, but with the basic RPG Maker battle view, the first-person one, instead of sideview battlers.

I used Fomar's ATB script back when I made Antagonist, but a lot of problems cropped up when paired with other scripts, such as Yanfly's Skill Counterattacks and Yami's Charge Skill because the concept of number of turns became blurred.

Are there any other ATB scripts I can try out?

HEYY SO I CAME BACK FROM MY TOKYO GAME SHOW SCHOOL TRIP

But I only could go for the first day before I had to fly off the next day.
I just got back home XDD

Tokyo Game Show is huge! Being one of the first few to enter, there was like plenty of empty space, I thought I'd have no trouble visiting all the booths. But 30 minutes later and I had to wade through tons of people.

Highlights:
Saw the new Phoenix Wright being announced
Monster Hunter
Dead or Alive 5 Last Stage
Guilty Gear... XX?
Resident Evil Revelations 2
Resident Evil 2 remake I think?
Lots of God Eater 2
A lot of Bloodborne
A lot of Tales of Zestiria
A lot of Final Fantasy Type 0
EVOLVE
Sunset Overdrive
Some Gundam MMORPG
Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain
Some Indie Games are good (Check out Assault Android Cactus on Steam it's REALLY fun)
Japanese Game Universities surprisingly mostly EXTREMELY bad despite their ability to concept art and 2D really well
And merchandise queue was much too long to try to queue up for

I didn't get to see Persona 5 or Final Fantasy XV (they were just looping the TGS trailer on a big screen but there wasn't like a super big extra exclusive reveal)
And RAAAAAGH I'm psyched to make some games now!!
I only did get to test out one game, an iPhone game, because every other queue was bloody long. They had like one hour waiting times despite so many booths of the same game were around.
If I could read Japanese fluently I would've enjoyed it twice as much maybe XD

[Poll] Nintendo Vs. Nintendo? (which system rules them all!)

I like the N64 controller.

Good "Science Focused" Sci-Fi Movies?

lol Lucy

*gets beaker of acid-ded*
jk I haven't watched that either but I know scientists getting all riled up over how dumb it is.

[Poll] Link's best Companion

MIDNA

(I should really play the DS Zeldas lol I'm sure I would dig Zelda)
