Gamer Dreams

Not exactly a game, but I did have a nightmare about being in Sword Art Online last night. All my party members got inflicted with confuse and I had to fend them off trying to survive. After their confused rampage they came back to their senses a distance away from me, but suddenly that area was blocked off with rubble.

As we were gathering plans to reunite, suddenly there was a rumble, and the section of the dungeon they were collapsed, and I saw their party windows disappear in a blink. I was left alone in a dangerous dungeon with a broken weapon and enemies much stronger than me.

Later after some stealth I did try to kill a Gargoyle guard who spotted me, but my rapier did no damage, and beating him with my fists had no avail. He called for backup, I freaked out and woke up.

It's scary to be in a dream where nothing you do works.

[Poll] PS2 Vs. XBox Vs. GameCube

I definitely have to say the PS2.

You see, when I was a kid with one, the game piracy scene was really big over here...
So... I got to try... a lot of games... >_>

What makes a good MMORPG?

Rather than grinding long to achieve a large reward result, I'd much rather have the feeling of constantly improving bit by bit.

Rather, when I know I have to spend time on a task over and over again just to get one meagre reward, I get intimidated. Sure, I'll get it in the end. Celebrate for awhile, then it becomes the norm. Then the next time I have to grind, I'll just eventually learn that it isn't worth the long investment just for the small happiness. Then I'll just get bored as the grind gets bigger. Then I'll just drop the MMO.

I suppose it's an advantage that some shooters, like S4 League, have over MMORPGs. They give you the opportunity to feel your own improvement, and that in itself is rewarding, compared some material good like a bribe.

Subterranean Starfield

Woah! This looks AND sounds super cool!

Gonna try it out!

M.O.G. Graphics

I was planning on drawing some characters! What an awesome coincidence!

What makes a good MMORPG?

Hahaha, I'm the same! I'm always PVE, if I wanted to play PVP I'd pick up a shooter XD

It may be weird, but if players were to be rewarded in some way for communicating and befriending strangers, would it be absurd, or...?
It's nice to play with friends, but I'm thinking it should be easier to meet and befriend other players. Back in Ragnarok Online people would just come up and talk to you, but now people just run around and do their things on their own (maybe it can be attributed to the existence of quests too, but...)

I may be influenced by MMO animes such as .hack and Sword Art Online (terrible characters but such an amazing, amazing game world), but the reason I'd like for players is to be customizeable is because for the possibility to able to gain fame in the community through their unique mastery over certain aspects of the game.

I'd like to see a skill-based MMORPG instead of a min-max race. Shooters, for example, they have set weapons, but how good you are is based off your own skill instead of how much you grind.

I'd like to feel good at playing the game not because I spent years of my life playing it, but because with practice and my own style of play.

But then again, that might take out the essence of RPG...
Maybe something like... Monster Hunter...?

The next RPG Maker

Change of window size, maybe fullscreen capability.

Being able to put whatever size face sprite I want because sometimes I want the face to be longer than it is wide.
