Could you not get a regular sprite that works fine.

Then use your image in the zone where the image would appear above the text.

Then cut everything below it for transparency.

=requires no coding, but knowledge if Gimp.
Your essentially tricking the engine into thinking its a regular image.

[Ren'Py] Different Character Sprites

Well, I'm a complete Ren'Py newbie and wanted to give characters a different image style (example) but I noticed the bottom of the image is automatically aligned with the bottom of the window making the image be hidden behind the text. Does anyone have any suggestions how I could move that image up? Thanks in advance.

Hello! If anyone needs a Roaming Warrior for the currently ongoing Squall event my friend code is 9xEN; I have Rinoa Lv. 46 with Valkyrie (VIII) equipped and Angel Wing Bolt assigned (239 Magic without Realm Synergy so it's quite decent damage, especially against enemies weak to lightning-elemental damage).

I just checked Live a Live's tiles and I must say they're FFV-esque and very pretty.

FFV and FFVI sprite style is similar, so I see no problem with that. I am unfamiliar with the graphic style of Live a Live and the original mobile release of Final Fantasy Dimensions. And the standard field sprite dimensions per frame are 16×24px? Not those 16×16px? Because IIRC at one point there were FFV-styled field sprites in Essence.

With making tilesets I will admit that I don't exactly know how I feel about it: never tried it since they seem to be more hassle that sprites and I'm a little lazy shit. OTL

I haven't played the demo yet, Is the music original?
Not all, but some of the score is original and great.

Also, have you tried making any of the three music stages you thought? Or is more of "planning and trying" thing?

I'd actually love to see some Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II there. Well, the game isn't complete yet, but there's already quite a lot content; the music is great, the characters are great (I'd like to see Zephyr and Jasmine there), lotsa things there are great. I wonder if UPRC would be fine with it...

[RM2k3] David Patch + RM2K3++

I'm wondering if it's possible to somehow get the David Patch and RM2K3++ to work together. What I need is David Patch with its large database windows to work with those insanely large value limit breaks from Seena's patch, mainly the one thing that allows all attribute effect ratings to go from -32767% to 32767%, so I can scale my game's skills better. I can't get the two to work at the same time since it's coded in RM2003.exe file as far as I am aware and from what I can tell the best solution would be to update the David Patch, but I'm quite certain it's not going to happen any time soon.

So just yesterday I acquired LMMS and Final Fantasy VI soundfont and decided to give it a try by doing some experimental battle theme. I think I failed miserably. ;P
