Overacheiving to the MAX! 4 parties of 99
Wow, the things I used to do almost a decade ago....
I'm almost glad the link doesn't work anymore, haha. I remember making some of these videos while I was trying to figure out my life in grad school, and they were all god-awful. Not that they weren't fun; I'm just not well equipped to do that sort of thing.
Anyway, I wonder if the commercial release would be doable... doubtful with a full time job and a 1-year-old, but who knows!

Oh man, neat! A new LP. Just wondering, though - did you use the old or new version? The newest version has had quite a few changes added when it comes to the start and ending. ^.^
BTW - Your voice is awesome~
If you haven't finished recording, I highly recommend downloading the newest version and copying your save file over as there's been some fixes to the end (no longer is it completely random and there's more clues scattered about stuff).
So far, pretty awesome though! I do so love seeing people jump in fear while playing the game~ ^.^
Thanks a ton for the compliments! I am actually very self conscious of how I sound in recordings, so hearing you say that relieves a lot of that tension! :D
I have finished recording (they are posted on YT, and I'm pretty sure I submitted the media page, but if it doesn't show up soon, I'll resubmit it), and I am fairly certain it's the newest version. I downloaded this on a new(ish) computer only a couple of weeks ago, specifically for the purpose of recording. Hopefully it is the newest version...

My bad, I didn't understand that to be the implication.

What areas did you go to train to get level 99?
Yea, I think it is Death Valley. The only other place that would be feasible is the ocean, but from what I remember the EXP spread is much wider.

I am pretty sure you are the only one.
To help put this into perspective, when I designed the game, I anticipated that the typical endgame party would be around level 42, with a variance roughly between 39-47 depending on how quickly you played through the game. I beat the game in my testing around level 36~39, but I knew all the ins-and-outs (naturally). I think I leveled up some testing parties up to level 41 (which, iirc, is the last level any of the classes get new skills), but never much beyond that!
When I heard about another player having characters in the level 60s I thought they were insane. When I heard about parties in the 90s, I KNEW they were insane. When I watch and read this... it transcends insane?

Man! I don't know why these Let's Play videos capture my attention! I've been watching these all Memorial weekend! I like how you're the more "mellow type" narrator after listening to some people that are just plain nuts (I mean that in a good way)!

I'm glad my suffering got you to laugh, haha! Yea, a checkpoint might have been nice, but no worries. I'm glad you did finish this version; I had a lot of fun playing through it! I will write a review, when I have an hour or so to sit down and pound one out.
I'm really glad that at least SOMEONE finds these entertaining! The fact that anyone watches this stuff and enjoys it makes it all the more fun for me to do. I have a couple projects in the works, and should really finish the one before moving onto the new one I just started. Either way, they;'ll both get down!
