PROFESSOR_Q'S PROFILE

I've been a fan and follower of RPG Maker games of all sorts since 2012. My all-time favourite has to be "Love and War: Act I", closely followed by "The Way" and "Romancing Walker". (Yes, I'm weird that way!)

I'm not particularly good at game design, though I can write plot-lines reasonably well. While waiting for the rest of Love and War to come out, I've also written three full-length stories set in the Love and War universe, which you can read over at the Love and War forums. (I go by Professor Q over there, surprise, surprise!)

I also enjoy reviewing games, though I tend to write about games I enjoyed playing. If a review of mine sounds critical, it's meant to spur the developer to do better.

I'm also experimenting with RPG Makers XP and VX, so watch this space.

[RMVX] Faceset resources for an RPG Maker VX game

author=Marrend
Fox Richards' FaceMaker, found here. While it has a number of options that kinda feel like it was built for TsuK/TsuK3, it might still be something for you to look into.

Full disclosure: I used it exclusively for this project.

Thank you very much! ^_^

[RMVX] Faceset resources for an RPG Maker VX game

Completely noob question here, so please forgive me if it's been asked already.

Do you know of any sites / locations (either free or commercial; I don't mind paying if the resources are good) where I can find RPG Maker VX facesets with varying facial expressions / emotions for my characters? (i.e. not just the single face provided with the software itself) I've always enjoyed that feature in earlier RPG Maker games, but lack the skill to draw my own stuff =(

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

edit: there we go!

but yes, Professor you need to take advice from this thread as those maps are horrendous.

edit3: I mean, I don't want to be unhelpful and rude but I would just start over with all those maps and rethink your design because I wouldn't even know where to start with those maps.

^_^ No offence. They were meant to be horrendous, but I think the "It's deliberate" gambit is a pretty poor one to pull. Working on making them more coherent! =)

New Developer Mapping Help Thread

Hey, this looks like the place for me!

I'm working on a game project called The Third World. As the game opens, the player finds himself in a fractured landscape, as shown below. The idea is to show that reality itself has been warped (there's more to it, but that's all the player is told at this point ^_^):

Later on, they move into more conventional caves / fields / fortresses and the like, but all is still not as it seems.

As it stands, the project's been denied because the images are sub-standard. Any suggestions / feedback / input are welcome... ^_^

Thanks in advance!
