Sad/Worrying Moments in Video Games

Mother 3 all the way. I was totally caught off guard when Hinawa died and I think the last fight was one of the saddest and most powerful things I've ever experienced in a video game.

Games that nobody remember?

This was a game that my elementary school had. I think it was a tie in with the math books we used. It's an obscure Mac Puzzle/logic game called Zoombinis. Just watching this is giving me crazy nostalgia chills.

This game came in some kind of software bundle my parents bought. I think this might have been my first FPS and I think it predates Quake by a month or so. I had no idea it was a Bethesda game until recently.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

I'm working on a 2.5d first person dungeon crawler that takes place in Post Apocalyptic South Dakota that's so long after the apocalypse that no one really remembers how the world used to be. Also Iowa is now an evil fascist state that has annexed South Dakota.

It's going to be AWESOME.

RMVX Animations problem.

I'm trying to just make enemy animations in the default battle system of RMVX. However, I don't know how to make it so the animation shows targeted on the enemy but the actual attack hits the player. This is super easy in every other RPG maker but the game I'm making is pretty heavily relying on a VX only script. Is there an easy way to do this?

Dumbest Video Game Twists?{Spoilers}

I played the shit out of that game. I loved the atmosphere and quests and stuff, but the story was kind of eh.

Dumbest Video Game Twists?{Spoilers}

Arcanum did a kind of shitty job using plot twists as a way to deconstruct RPG tropes. For instance for about 90 percent of the game you're led to believe that you're the reincarnation of an old savior, but really he's still alive. It was actually kind of a cool twist but you just kind of found the guy and he anticlimactically told you who he was. The next 10 percent of the game tells you that the rest of what you were led to believe was false in a similar fashion.

And if we're counting unsurprising twists as bad twist, the identity of the masked man in Mother 3. I figured it out as soon as they mistook Lucas for the masked man... which I believe is the first time he's mentioned.

RPGS... you've beaten

Fallout 2
Fallout 3
Fallout: New Vegas
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Mother 3
Final Fantasy I
Final Fantasy VI
Pokemon Blue
Pokemon Silver and Gold
Ocarina of Time
Dragon Quest IV
Shining Force
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

For the amount of RPG's I've played, I really haven't beaten that many.
