[Poll] Your favorite RPG Setting

My favorite is a bit of a mix between Fantasy and Modern Day. I'm not talking Urban Fantasy, I think, but more on the Call of Ctulhu-y side of things, or maybe some of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure parts.
That probably didn't make much sense.

"I'm a douche who created multiple alt accounts to hype my shitty games"

Are there any other beautiful banstories from earlier? Because I'm actually kind of curious if there's more hilarious stories like these. I love the way you guys react to people making fools of themselves.

What exactly IS a dungeon?

Absolutely, that's exactly how I see it! I didn't include them purely because hadn't thought about them, to be honest.

Art, art, everywhere... A massive art dump [Updated Dec 6, 2014]

Why oh why is your pixel art so wonderful? Keep up the amazing work!

What exactly IS a dungeon?

For me personally, I like to make this distinction:
- An area, be it a cave, forest, desert, tunnel, whatever, where you encounter enemies and chests and such, but serves as a way to go from Point A to Point B is a Passage.
- An area, be it a cave, forest, desert, tunnel, wahtever, where you encounter enemies and chests and such, but has a goal at the end of it, a boss, an item, or something, and then you leave back through the way you came is a Dungeon.

So it's all about the goal: are you trying to travel through this area, or gain something at the end of it.

For example, the Golden Sun games are rife with Passages: caves, forests and such that you travel through to reach new areas. Meanwhile, the Lighthouses that you're trying to reach are Dungeons: you try to reach the summit and then you leave the same way you came in.

Reading this all back is so entertaining so please, even if it's just for archive's sake, don't remove those beautiful beautiful game pages.

How are things going for the MOG events?

I did join the music event but to be honest I'm in the same boat as others... Though I'd still love to do it so who knows!

Global Bullshit of Video Games

Whoa gee, sorry for inciting all out war, that was definitely not my intention :"D
It might just have been the way I played, but I experienced Skyrim much more like Locke did than the other POV. I leveled stats, but hardly felt more powerful while the enemies kept getting more trickier, so then I started wondering, why would I keep going?

But yeah I can see the use of it in more open-world style rpgs, but I just really don't like the idea of it because there's just, in my opinions, so much ways level scaling can go wrong, in contrast to the little ways it can go right. But that's just my opinion as a guy who hasn't released a single game.

Global Bullshit of Video Games

I usually have a pretty high bullshit tolerance. However there's one thing that I'm just not a fan of at all.
LEVEL-SCALING-ENEMIES.
I cannot fathom the thought of it. If I'm playing a game where enemies get stronger as I get stronger as well, what's the point of getting stronger in the first place?

Good PS3 J-RPGs?

I've got to mention NieR! It's a bit of an oddball though.
