Hey SMBX-ers check out this cool thing I found.

I'm surprised engines like this still get used, never mind how crazy it is that someone just created a new one. I mean, Mario Maker 2 is coming out in a month. And if you don't like Mario Maker because the gameplay doesn't feel authentic, or because it costs money, then you would make a romhack - the romhacking tools for Mario 3 and Mario World are awesome.
Yeah but most romhacking tools aren't as particularly user-friendly or as flexible as custom-made engines. Like, especially for contests the differences in overall turnout really show in favor of custom, user-friendly engines versus romhack ones.

So people on Mario Fangames Galaxy are hosting an SMB3-styled level design contest, and it uses a custom-made engine made to emulate SMB3 physics:

Hello Dyhalto,
I am creating a game series with SRPG maker 95, I tried my best, but I can't understand how to import my own images in my projects.
I know about the size restriction, my problem is that when I import my images, their color changes, it becomes ugly...
Despite this problem, SRPG maker 95 is the best software i can use for my project.
Could you please tell me how you've been able to import images in your games ?
Thank you, and congratulations for your hard work, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one using SRPG maker 95 by now.
It needs to have the same palette as used by the System graphic, as noted in the engine page
