Of course, some game makers may not like what you have to say

Strange...
That has less to do with me and more to do with those whom choose to be offended.

Mystery Falls - Director's Cut

I really want to play your game but I keep getting the "dderr unsupported" error :P

AGORAPHOBIA

*rolls around violently*
I wanna play this soo bad!
Please finish it soon! T.T

Lasting Dreams

Good for you!
You have a great outlook.
get the project out there, collect feedback and work with it on a new project.
Its a good idea to not get too hung up on making edits for the game that already exists but to continue moving forward with future projects!
I played a little bit of your Demon Dreams and I can see a vast improvement between games.
Keep moving forward, you're going to amazing places fast!

Demon Dreams

After playing Lasting Dreams, I totally want to check this out! n.n

Lasting Dreams Review

Overly Harsh Review.
I give this a 4.5/5 since I see a lot of potential for this developer. Mistakes are just opportunities to grow. That and "GAMES" are being made here. Games should be fun and I had a LOT of fun with this one.

I think there is a terrible disconnect that is occurring with the community right now, that everything that comes out has the expectation by everyone to be gold or else it's unworthy of positive support.
We're not the AAA industry with budgets and teams, most of the time we're just singular people just trying to create a dream for others to enjoy.

It's terribly hard at times to be met with reviews like this. People have become salty and bitter towards other games because their games too have been harshly judged and put down. This only hurts the community and thus we are seeing less and less games being made on this site as time progresses.

If we ever want the community to flourish then we need to be more supportive of our peers. Yes, it's ok to tell them what didn't work, but also bring a solution to a table and also tell them what DID work and why it did. This is the most effective method of leaving feedback

Lasting Dreams

I finished playing and I decided to give you a review filled with thoughts and ideas!
You're doing a remarkable job, I can't wait to see what future works await you!

-Edit-

I think RMN rejected my review because I lack a BA in "Reviewing" (according to their rules and regulations *Grumble Grumble*)
So here's my review / notes for you:

This is a great little game that deserves some love from the community as well as some refined touches, but overall this is a project that 'd love to see taken to the next level.

It's not often we get a game of this style and was relatively fun all the way through, what it lacks for in polish, it makes up for in opportunity.

The story follows a pirate who haphazardly falls into the mix of an ancient lore. He is then charged with the responsibility of saving the world.
The story was ok for what it was, We knew that out hero was somewhat of a silent protagonist who ended up saving the world due to it having an effect on him as well. That was fine. The villain had exposition and goals, he was shown that he had power and he wasn't afraid to use it to reach his goals.
The only thing I would comment on would be your side characters.

It almost would have been worth while to write out the girl with the pink hair and replace her with Dalla entirely. You rescue her in the woods but she's not captured by the villain, but you return to the dungeon later in the game to retrieve her stolen artifact which warps you to the art gallery.
Be careful of adding characters that aren't fully necessary, it only serves to make the plot more convoluted.

As I said, there are great opportunities for this game to grow. Here are some things I'd like to point out:

1) Over world Map: I love the concept you have for this and with some fine tweaking it could be amazing. The ship should not move on it's own, I appreciate what you were trying to do but it made it more difficult when trying to maneuver around the enemies and more so when trying to kill them. Speaking of the enemies... there needs to be a lot less. I assume this was to make flying more difficult but it came off as irritating since dying has no real consequence and there's no way to regain health for the ship without dying anyways. In turning down the enemy numbers, you could have one large boss enemy that roams the map. This would give you a good reason to grind the ship's level up.

You stuck coordinates on the bottom of the map, you should totally take advantage of that! make some islands invisible until you are given the coordinates of an island (and secrets) and it appears once you go to that very spot!

2) Levels: Overall I really liked each level as they were all different and had you use a variety of tools to get past a challenge, much like Zelda. It's in this statement that I would recommend that this strays from the leveling up system and adopts a metroid approach for item expansions. There were many times I would reach a boss, but I was soo over powered that it became to easy; with the amount of work that you put into this game, I really wanted to enjoy it's difficulty as well. This would be a great idea of you were to use bombs like in zelda, blowing up secret walls and getting power ups... Pirates love treasure after all ;)

3) Enemies: I enjoyed the enemies but what may serve you best is have more of a variety that are weak to certain weapons. for example: if slimes were weakest to knives, then those items would never become stale and I'd rotate them into my use. The dojo was a good idea, but again, variety is the spice of life. I did however really like that the arena's with the guards had different layers to them, so do more of that!

4) Extras: I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for something special when I acquired 11 crystals out of the prophesied 10. The secret to keeping completionist gamers like myself happy: the more extras you have, the more of a reward you have to have at the end. Most of the time it can be an alternate ending, but what we really really love is a super secret final boss and alternate ending! perhaps that's a tall order for you, but he same rule applies to AAA games as well.

Overall I really liked your product, it needs some tweaking yes, but I'd love to see this project grow into something bigger / better or even new. You're on the right path!
KEEP GOING AND DON'T GIVE UP!
4.5/5

Lasting Dreams

lol no need to feel bad,
you made up for it by making a really great game ;)
I actually think it's kind of funny that I spent so long and din't find the grail...
I would be quite a laugh to say that you should have the game with no grail at all XD
but that's just my warped sense of humor :P
