I really, really don't want to be "that guy", but while I see what you're going for here, it really does not work so great. I strongly suggest finding some tileset rips from FF1-3, tripling the size, and using those. They won't look great blown up that much but they'll look a lot better than what you've done here, which looks like shrinking the RTP tiles and then blowing them up again.

Alternately, you could use the grid size plugin and work with the tiles at 16x16 and then use a smaller screen resolution and upscale that. This would probably produce the best look but it's more work.

Like I said I don't mean to belittle your project and I think a dungeon crawler featuring various FF characters is an interesting idea, but you gotta do something about the graphics if you don't want people lambasting you. :/

Haha, guess you couldn't get away with changing this line!

Nice! This tileset is a real pain to work with, haha.

Unrelated but if you're going to be using Fomar's ATB, I can give you the fixes I made for UPRC. Fomar's ATB is pretty buggy and needed several things fixed, and Fomar himself seems to have long abandoned public scripting.

Do Ribbons also show up at said point in the game? >_>

hahaha, well I was just going off of what we've been shown/told so far...! But that's an interesting tidbit!

The color changes start at line 82. And my bad, the gray/white gauge would be 0 and 8. The colors correspond to the colors in your windowskin image in the graphics/system folder.

It does, it's the ATB gauge colors. The default fill color is almost the same color as the window so it just ends up looking invisible. If these are changed it'll look like the other gauges. If the colors are changed to say, 1 and 9 it'll make a white/gray gauge similar in color to old FF ATB gauges.

As for the actual screenshot, I like it! I think one of my only complaints about the whole Augurer thing is that summoning mundane monsters made it feel like you just had baby/weak summoners (I know it's for very obvious plot reasons that they don't get "real" summons). Giving them some impressive monsters to summon makes them feel a lot more powerful.

Jumbo_Cactpot.png

Looking good! The real drawback I can see to having the drawing be real weeks is that I am sure some people will blitz the game and realistically only get one attempt at the Jumbo Cactpot. I understand the reasoning of using real time besides to be authentic to FFXIV, as if it was tied to game time or step/encounter/zone count it could potentially be abused. Will there be ways in-game to get a finite amount of extra attempts? Or is this more just a system for long term players to passively make some gil?

EquipSummon.png

Will Zephyr and Reiner have some other new unique abilities too? Seems like their skill lists will be a bit sparse compared to the other characters if they have to equip all of their skills. :O

This looks really cool! I love how the background kinda blends into the tiles. Does it animate like FF6?
