Very interesting point Crystalgate. Yes obstacles can be interesting to add.

Thank you everyone. I hope I'll have fun. =w=

Calunio, the faceset is in this scene the most important. I realize it blocks a lot of the screen, but it is not on screen for that long. I'll avoid blocking too much of the screen 'cause I understand it can be quite irritating but the facesets are only shown when a character talks and after you can see what has happened. So basically, when a faceset is on screen, nothing important is happening on the map anyway.

Cry of the Fox

@Carvonica: I will do that. Thank you for the suggestion. I'll post some extra screenshots in the near future too.

@Corfaisus: Whoops my mistake, must've overlooked that one. I'm not a native english speaker so this stuff happens. The game however is proofread by several english speaking friends, so it won't in the game itself.

How to write a villain.

Ah I'm sorry about spelling and punctuation. i'm not a native engish speaker so I'm affraid this happens. I'll try to avoid it in the future. Or let someone else read it before I post it.

Menland is named like that because of a dispute between the elves and the humans. While originally humans lived in Pharion and the elves claimed the forest The elves wanted to expand their territory and waged war against humans eventually conquering the area above the Karetas Stream. In return the humans destroyed several acres of forest and settled there, they nicknamed the area Menland as a signal towards the elves.

I know the name might be a bit silly and it probably wouldn't make much sence to put that on a map without a proper background. However I do have a background story for it and as much as I understand the silliness of it, I would appreciate some more productive feedback.

Already posted one. About how to write for villains. :)

But thank you, Xanedil. :)
And yes I do feel honored about that.

Concept art for the character of Dwane. As you can see he uses a crossbow as a weapon.
Conceptart was made by Gyrowolf.

I'm glad you like it.

Oh does he?
The Fox has many inspirations, I think the main ones would be Robin Hood, Batman, Zorro and Rorscharch (from Watchmen). He's the kind of vigilante that makes mistake after mistake after mistake. He doesn't want to create problems but he does and is therefor seen as a criminal.

As for the monochromatic pallets? Yes, the game will be revolving around the colours blue and white. For one because I like the colours and they give the game a sort of mystical feeling and besides that it looks great visually.
