Looks awesome, ram!

I wanna start working on dungeons but I gotta plan them out on paper first and I'm too busy watching Orange is the New Black so I'm just waiting for school to start so I can plan out in class when I get bored ^^;

Meanwhile I've been working on interiors. You're supposed to be able to swim upwards in most houses and dungeons to reach higher spots, though I plan not to use it in the open sea since it's mostly unnecessary.

Having the roof disappear to display what's below it is a neat effect, but I think that the transition is too slow. It's amusing that the character sprite's lighting doesn't change when walking into the shadowed area.

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)

Did they change how RM2K3 processes battle-events when they released the official version? Several of the set-piece battle-events that I have in Sore Losers: Riot Grrrl seem to be working incorrectly, but I know that they worked just fine previously...

How those set-pieces worked was something that I was looking to change anyway, but meh... kinda sad that a load of stuff has broken without me having touched the project!

Forever's End Review

This is a good example of how splitting a review into strict sections tends to do the author a disservice. For example, in the opening few paragraphs this review speaks about the influences other games have had on the storyline and characterisation present in Forever's End. It's decent enough analysis, but it also severely depletes the actual "story" section that comes later in the review. Those two sections could've really bolstered one another were they treated holistically...

I kinda want McGregor to kick Mayweather's head off. Yes, he will lose the boxing match, but that would be hilarious.

Sore Losers went past 6000 total downloads today. Nice little landmark! \o/

Fun fact: I considered making Sore Losers look like Sore Losers: Riot Grrrl, but it doesn't really work and it would take too long and what would even be the point:

Speaking as an artist...who only has HB pencils?

People who can't and don't draw?

What are you thinking about right now?

What sort of barbarian defaces a book by writing in it?

The only barbaric thing is that I only have HB pencils and they're terrible for making notations in old books...

Can beta testers post reviews of games?

I don't think I'm great, just that a lot of people are worse.

There is a monumental difference.

Can beta testers post reviews of games?

And the mods will likely pick up on it if it turns out there's some obvious bias involved. So it's possible, but you should be careful about it.

Don't give them so much credit. The mods only pick up on things that their personal biases object to. The concept of evenly applied, site-wide "rules" are nothing more than an illusion.

To answer OP's question, you can post a review as a beta tester.

The picture is too big for the forums so I hid it.
