I started my computer and the mouse is half the speed it used to be. I tried adjusting the mouse sensitivity, and nothing about it changed. What the hell!?

Did your surface change at all?
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Do you have a mouse driver installed? I had a mouse that started doing this after I installed some kind of mouse configuration center that Windows Update had been trying to push onto me. Every time the computer started up, the settings in the brand-name Logitech software overwrote the Windows settings. It had stuff like per-program sensitivity though that seemed maybe theoretically useful to gamers.

I would have more makerscore If I did things.

does windows automatically upload a mouse driver when updating? That's the only time that it could have happened.
The most recent win10 update broke my mouse settings and I had to reinstall the drivers to be able to change things back to what I was used to. Maybe something like that happened?

After restarting the computer it seemed to go back to normal speed? Really weird and annoying, but it's solved I guess?

I was wrong.
I restarted again and it got worse.

I was changing the wrong setting the entire time
Were you changing the double-click speed instead? I've done that before.
