Atelier Escha & Logy atm. Very fun, and the fact that items that you use while exploring replenish when you return to town is really awesome. That was what made me stop playing Totori, running out of bombs/healing items, having to gather materials and make them from scratch, thus running out of precious time. Escha & Logy is obviously more forgiving, but I still can’t finish everything in time, so it feels just right. Might come back to give Totori another try, but going back would be hard.

Also Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia on my 3DS, how I love this type of game. And a bit of Torclight 2, I want to play through the whole game at least once, even though the game moves too fast for my ARPG tastes and it’s so hard to see what’s going on at times.

Finally finished Etrian Odyssey Untold a few days back, just to find out today that they are making Untold 2, a remake of EO2. Hell. Yes. Now remake 3 (or at least let me find a copy in my country goddamit), make EO5, and my dungeon crawling needs shall be satisfied (for a while anyways :D)

Playing Final Fantasy Type-0 with the finished fan translation. Now this is a FF game I can get into, awesome action-rpg gameplay, darker tone, lots of characters and abilities... and dat soundtrack, oh boy. The game is supposed to come to PS4/Xbone in HD some time in the future, but I am not planning to get either anytime soon, so PSP it is.

I couldn't get into FF 13/13-2/Crisis Core because it felt like I had barely any control over my character, but in Type-0 the combat feels great.

Weird how originally a mobile game is (imho) many times better than those others. Still waiting for XV to see what it is like, since it is also supposed to be more action-oriented.

There is something strangely relaxing about playing Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires and slaughtering hundreds/thousands of enemies during a single battle and feeling like a total badass. And the simple empire management is a very nice bonus to the hacking and slashing. Tecmo Koei had my curiosity, now it has my attention. Already bought Warriors Orochi 3, and thinking about buying One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 too. Fist of the North Star also looks crazy awesome!

... great, just what I needed, even MORE games to play. Ah, first world problems...

Cool, what's your current level? ; D

Don't remember off the top of my head, but I just started exploring B5F, which is the first place where my party wiped. Playing story mode on the hardest difficulty. It was going smoothly, I defeated a shiny FOE (for huge XP) but then I got greedy, wanted to unlock a shortcut so I kept going, even though my medic and alchemist didn't have any TP left. A random encounter came up with 2 war bisons, and I just didn't have enough damage without the alchemist spells to kill them before they offed the medic and protector. After that, I failed to run away twice, and the rest is history. Game over. Ouch. Lesson learned.

Also going to give Path of Exile another try after hearing my friend talk about it again, but since even the slightest lag/rubber-banding kinda ruins any action RPGs for me (looking at you, PC Diablo 3), I am not sure how that is going to go.

EDIT: Nope, with the lag/rubber-banding, Path of Exile is just not fun for me, I need a smooth experience in my ARPGs. Even the slightest delay when hitting enemies/enemies hit you just ruins the game for me. Pity, the skill/loot system is super cool, hope they would release an offline version, but that won't happen.

But it got me playing Titan Quest again, which is good!

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Etrian Odyssey Untold. All that I need for now. Although I really wanna buy and play Drakengard 3 ASAP, since I loved Nier so much. Will try to wait until I finish EO at least.

And MH4U can't come soon enough (no more underwater combat - HELL YES!, Tigrex will be back... OH SHI-!). Early 2015? It's not even mid-2014 goddamit... At least we are getting it.

By the way Atlus, where the hell is SMT4 for Europe? Are you waiting until I play through Persona 3 Portable, Soul Hackers AND Devil Survivor OC first? That is a lot of SMT games, sure(actually, that is quite a lot of quality gaming right there, but I WILL get through them eventually, especially P3P), but some release date would be nice.

Beat Dark Souls 2 for the second time, with an offensive sorcery/miracle/hex build this time around, in half the time compared to my firt run. Required lots of dodging (as I was using a staff/sacred chime to be able to access all of my spells without switching weapons, so no shield), but felt inredibly powerful. And fragile. Will probably take this character and try a new game+(there should be more content/mixed enemies/etc), but first....

Replaying Demon's Souls again (thank god for the PSN shop, I sold my copy a long time ago, and regreted it after finding out two days ago that it's completely sold out in my country). The game that has the most "soul" compared to DS1/DS2. And it is noticably harder than DS2 right from the start, even the normal enemies are giving me some trouble and actually require some thought/tactics. Haven't played it for a long time, so I don't even remember the levels all that much, so it feels quite fresh. And the controls are so much more responsive/fluid.

But overall, for me DeS and DS1 are both the same level of awesome, both in their own way. DS2 lags behind, still a great game, but it lacks the awesome lore of DS1, or the atmosphere of DeS. It just feelsa little off. All are incredibly fun to play though.

Finished Dark Souls 2, enjoyed it a lot, though DS1 was probably the better game overall imho. In DS2 the NPCs weren't as interesting, the same with the story. Especially the ending was quite disappointing (as was the last boss). But still lots of fun. And the only time I looked at a walkthrough was when I was completely stuck, because there were no other areas open to me, and the way forward had to be open by an NPC who I had no idea would pop up in certaion location. The game kinda lacks direction at certain points, and you can miss some things rather easily.
But overall, still around 50 hours of great fun,and I died only about 240 times.

Now playing The Witch and the Hundred Knight, but it crashed on me after an hour, will try again later when I get back from work. But so far I can say that the music is just what you would expect from NIS, meaning AWESOME.

Still, I hope Dark Souls is way better than Demon's Souls. Demon's just feels... mediocre.

I played both, and Dark Souls was leaps and bounds better (for me). Connected, cohesive world (not the central hub+stages from DeS), and major improvements all over, plus, no FUCKING SWAMP.... well, there is one, and it is also pretty bad, but nowhere near as bad as the Valley of Defilement, and after playing through DS, it actually grew on me and is now one of my favourite areas.

However, there is one thing that totally pisses me off in DS. Two words - Capra. Demon. You will know what I mean when you get there.

Anyways, I started playing Dark Souls 2 yesterday, and it feels just RIGHT. I am kinda disappointed about how they advertised the game's graphics right up to release, and then, when you start it, the game looks COMPLETELY different than those awesome screens/gameplay videos that From were showing us. Don't get me wrong, the game looks fine (great even, in some areas so far), and I will take gameplay over pretty graphics any time of the day, especially in a Souls game, but the way they kept showing us something that just isn't in the final game right up to the end, without any info, kinda ticks me off. And From Software's official response to the graphics change just adds salt to the injury.

I get it, they probably couldn't get it to run at a decent framerate on the aging consoles (not that the framerate in the actual game is anything to write home about), and having to equip a torch in some areas was plain stupid (what if you play 2-handed for example...limiting playstyles in certain areas). But they could have said: "Hey guys, we can't get the game to run comfortably with these graphics, we have to tune it down so you can enjoy the gameplay at steady FPS", and they could have shown us the actual look of the game. People would be pissed, sure (and for a good reason, some of the gameplay trailers looked GLORIOUS with the old lighting), but they would understand methinks. But the way they handled it, it just doesn't sit well with me, as with many others.

Anyways, it still IS a new Souls game, and so far it is GREAT. I love the new armor designs, improved inventory, and the new travel system is kinda nifty too (some people will disagree I am sure, it is basically free fast travel between bonfires, which might not sit well with some).

Your favorite game EVER!

Diablo 2 LOD, no question, sooo many hours played, and I keep coming back for more (after many years of offline-only SP play, I finally made a "decent" runeword, RIFT, for my kicksin, and she, literally, kicks SO MUCH ASS). The graphics don't age at all, the gameplay and loot hunting is super addicting, and the story and the lore (contrary to what some people think) are actually quite deep and interesting, just try to read every NPC conversation at least once.

Original Guild Wars is close second place and more than deserves mentioning. Over 1200+ hours played, the game was the perfect MMO for me, because (especially after Nightfall), you could go through the whole game solo, with just henchmen and heroes. It has a special place in my heart, because I started playing back in vanilla, and kept playing as the game grew and me with it. I no longer play, but the game will always have a place in my heart.

A bit OT: The sequels to both of these game don't even hold a candle to their predecessors, and have been a massive disappointment to me (crap story and itemization/customization of D3 compared to D2, and the terrible zerg-fest that is GW2 compared to GW1, what happened to the awesome tactical combat...).

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen. Why did I wait so long to get this game. I was put off by the demo when I tried it some time back, but I got it anyways, and boy am I glad I did. The pawns' constant chatter can get repetitive (they are weak to fire master!... I KNOW, i killed hundreds of them), but I feel like it actually adds to the game at other times. And the combat is pretty sweet. Trying to get back to a safe area after night falls is sweet. I like the way that night is actually NIGHT, dark and dangerous, with basically no visibility. The game has an awesome atmosphere thanks to this, especially in dungeons.

Also, the game is pretty HARD. I am not that far in, but even normal bandit packs can sometimes overwhelm me and kill me.

There are some issues with the game (like Capcom slamming DLC advertisments in yo face, which pisses me off so much), but so far I am finding it hard to put the game down.

Also finished Darksiders yesterday, I can't believe I didn't pick this game up sooner, as with DD:DA. So much style, great combat, great exploration+puzzles and no unnecessary BUTTON MASHING QUICKTIMES (I am looking at you, GoW)... I think it might be my favourite game from the God of War vein. Though really, I loved all of them, Dante's Inferno, GoW 1-3, Darksiders and similar games in general.
