Super RMN Bros. 2 Review
BRICKROAD'S REVENGE by: Desmo360 2/5
Not a bad level, but kind of an anti climatic ending level, yet another switch puzzle level as well, boss was kind of fun but the music kind of ruined it, also was there a joke with Brickroad I missed?
Brickroad did a Let's Play of the original RMN Bros and proceeded to rip the game apart. He was somewhat active in the development of this game, trying to help everyone make better levels, though he eventually gave up, and made no levels of his own. Everyone thought he was mean, so he was humorously inserted as the final boss of RMN Bros 2 to be beaten up as a sort of in-joke. The goal was to throw red coins at him, as he particularly hated the red coin level in the original RMN Bros.
I am glad my levels got the recognition they deserved. B)

Thanks for playing! I still have fond memories of the two weeks we spent working on this project, and I'm glad people are still enjoying it twelve (!) years later.

Me!
There's no real discussion on the dangers of unregulated business, or religious demagoguery, we just find out that Don Kovak, the corporate sleazebag at the top of Equipment King, thinks the only way to get ahead in life is to be the king of crime. The religious fundamentalist villain wants to kill elves because his God said so. It really brings up a lot of questions about just how 'misguided' a person can be and still go along with things like this. Throughout the game the villains kidnap a group of children and force them to work in a labor camp, scheme to genocide entire races, and work with a group with a shadowy leader, a themed headquarters and an army of faceless, incompetent mooks. Did any of them ever stop to ask themselves “Huh. Am I working for a super-villain?”
Four years later and I am man enough to admit when I have to eat my own words.

I wouldn't say a new version is terribly likely at the moment, but there were some assets created for a continuation, with plans for two to four additional playable characters.
Here's some early art for the planned fourth playable character, Sera.

Thank you for the review! I was laughing pretty hard at the part where you said 'this character is like this character from this other game' because I haven't played any of those personally. I think most of them probably hadn't been released yet when this game first appeared.
I shall tell you a secret! In the initial first draft story I suggested to Anaryu in the very early stages of this project, Flynn was going to be the protagonist. That's why most of the plot in the game revolves around him. Edan didn't exist yet, the plot would have focused more on his relationship with Alaria. Anaryu and Krisanna suggested a more neutral viewpoint character for a protagonist, and that's how Edan came about (and why he has a fairly neutral shonen anime personality.)
Edan's design is actually borrowed from concept art for a character from a planned sequel to Skye, which is why this game also shares elements with that project as well. They were set in the same universe, and if this project had continued there would have been mention of Sky Knights eventually.
Sadly it is unlikely there will ever be a larger version of this game, which is sad as I am rather fond of it.

Euphoniac, insulting people's intelligence or saying girls don't like some games because they lack the required 'skill' is uncalled for and makes you look like a dingus. I'd knock it off if I were you.
